I like MCN but fuck, their videos seem to be shot and edited by a 15 year old kid for a school project. Loud music, wind noise, to many corny transitions, and often mistakes that are very apparent. Shame, great info in the videos but all that brings it down.
Bullshit...BMW has not destroyed the competition. Actually they have lots more problem they anticipated!!! I know 3 guys who have blown their engines...also, they have major problems with revets on the plastic....BTW....the BMW won fuckall in 2011....nuff said.
They are all great bikes but made for different riders. For example, the Ducati is a great and beautiful bike yet very thin and you feel like you are sitting on a stick when you are on it, you got to have a pro rider position on it which is not really enjoyable everyday for me.
I think people don't exclusively look at the performance but also at the comfort on the bike, suspensions, sound, shape, etc.

I think carlos checka could show other results. A change of tyres might not suit some fikes and need fiddling with. You can make any bike better with adjustments. There really isnt much in any of them. I got an 1198s and happy with it. I've rode the bmw and found it needs too many revs for road riding to get decent power.I'm lazy with gears.
@macgibbon When you come out of a corner and go WOT, the bike suppresses the throttle to prevent too much wheelie, giving you the most acceleration. (equipped on RSV)
Those that haven't ridden the Aprilia don't have a clue. The chassis is awesome and the midrange power of that motor is simply unbelievable. Look for yourself in this video, the rider on the Aprilia could out-accelerate the S1000RR at will at track speeds - at 250+ the S1000RR will take it but it isn't by much. Dyno plots are for jerkoffs, the bike is the real deal. Having ridden one I am stunned at how planted the Ape is and how strong its brakes are... it's a race bike for the road.

@Pilotak47 well, as they stated, they had a test-driver do the lap times for them because he knew the track... the MCN guys just tested the bikes for their usability, feel, handling and capability.
there was no big differences between these bikes because they were raced against the clock and that doesnt prove a shit cause when it comes to race you win races by good you drive!!
and even though the bmw showed 193hp on the dyno its only 0.26seconds faster than the 150hp ducati!!

Sounds like the MCN staff was biased towards the Aprillia long before they threw a leg over any of the bikes. Even the comments about the Aprillia at the end "The Aprillia is my Favorite". Also who's #'s were they basing their scoring on? Put one rider the bike that rides professionally not some has beens at a paper.

This is why I love motorcycles! You can buy a top of the line bike for around 15-20K BRAND NEW! You couldn't buy a POS honda for that, let alone a mid-level sports car that would be appealing. Not to mention bikes will always be faster, and more fun to ride, than a car will ever be (with a few exceptions in regards to fun).
@MrFlyahh, I'm speculating here, but I believe you just pin the throttle, dump the clutch and the computer minimises wheel spin and attempts to give you the perfect launch.

@Nelis1992 I don't think it's 'Wrong' These electronics are there for a reason,ABS helps no end in the breaking department,look what it did for cars??,this will stop faster and quicker than any other non ABS bike on the road and safer! Also the DTC was great for me this weekend as i got caught in a massive rain down pour! And was really thankful i had that.Really does bring out more confident in the rider which i think is a good thing.But like i said TURN IT OFF AND PUT HER IN SLICK MODE ;')

I'm sorry but an R6 will not beat any of these bikes unless its on a .5mile track thats just ignorant. I like the R6 a lot but i would not beat these bikes on 90% of the tracks in the world.

Ducati tried to buy out aprilia because of their success in supermoto. best power to weight ratio of all the bikes unless they didnt use the 1198. bmw should have won really

@stevesvids Yes.. But, as you already know, it's better to deal with a mechanic than a surgeon. That's what I say to myself when I have an accident and look at my bike and feel sorry for her. Nice bikes are like pretty women, expensive and dangerous. Getting used to it is not optional. I smashed up my R1 2 years ago, a friend was behind me and hit my rear tire on a curve. Broke my arm and leg and the bike, total loss. Now I just made a reservation for a GSX.1000. Take care and greetings. :)

I think the Aprilia is amazing, but at 1,76 cm's it still feels so compact and small =S It fits me, but barely. I feel more at home on my Ducati 848.

there was no big differences between these bikes because they were raced against the clock and that doesnt prove a shit cause when it comes to race you win races by good you drive!!
and even though the bmw showed 193hp on the dyno its only 0.26seconds faster than the 150hp ducati!!

Sounds like the MCN staff was biased towards the Aprillia long before they threw a leg over any of the bikes. Even the comments about the Aprillia at the end "The Aprillia is my Favorite". Also who's #'s were they basing their scoring on? Put one rider the bike that rides professionally not some has beens at a paper.

I'm going to hold out an see what Honda's RVF1000R has to offer before I buy either of the two top bikes "BMW , aprillia " . I love my CBR 1000rr and wanted to upgrade to BMW. I think rsv4 is a bit small for my 6"2 225 lb frame. Though great bikes indeed. Keep up the great videos mcn

This is why I love motorcycles! You can buy a top of the line bike for around 15-20K BRAND NEW! You couldn't buy a POS honda for that, let alone a mid-level sports car that would be appealing. Not to mention bikes will always be faster, and more fun to ride, than a car will ever be (with a few exceptions in regards to fun).
