as u can see, there is always turbulance when accelerating, much less having an atmosphere. realize this, the plane cant simply fly a parabolic path, air friction as well as the plane reaching its own terminal velocity would return the people inside to 1G. the plane is actually powering through the air to artificially create the parabola as well it can. only very high altitude ballistic space trajectories in much more expensive planes can rly give you a zero gravity effect like that in orbit.
How would you know its expensive? Tell me, how does the camera man manage to stay on the ground while the other guy is floating around? Whats this about 4 pilots, heavily modified airbus a300 and jet fuel neither of which I see? So I don't know what you're on about. Have you ever heard of David Copperfield's flying magic trick? Same effects here
Ok there are 4 pilots which I did not pay attention to but I don't know of any of the other thing you're on about. How can you possibly know where that's located? That could be area 51 for all I know
actually, when you're in the 'almost total weightlessness' position, you have an awkward way of moving. If you wave your arms away from your chest you will go backwards. its kinda hard to understand unless you've actually gone on the "Vomit Comet" or have orbited the Earth. See how when he starts waving his arms away from himself he starts going in the opposite direction?
kewl can 13 year olds go?

It's hard to believe that they are faling not flying in zero-g

Man.. i have to do that before i die. How much does it cost?
DTuriTuri 2 years ago
This is really cool, but it costs nearly three grand just for one eleven minute flight
AlexKellian 2 years ago
@AlexKellian Would you pay that much for that? I think I would. I wanna Pray while I'm doing that haha...

where is it :D

hi askelairlines,
We took off from Bordeaux, France, but the parabolas were flown over sea, outside portugal I think, to get less turbulence
It's a while since I had this great opportunity (july 2003), but I still recall it as one of my greatest, lets say top 5, experiences :)

Area 51

This is the same trick method that David Copperfield used in his Peter Pan flying magic.
amievery1 3 years ago
Then it must be a very expensive trick, involving 4 pilots, a heavily modified Airbus A300, and tons of jet fuel, amongst other things :)

How do you think movie productions make things look so real?

What kind of modifications?

I love how even the guys with months of zero G training still flail around when they are in zero gravity hahaha! i guess its just instinct....
