  • hello man, your mix is the most awesome of all, i downloaded 2 years ago and i keep hearing it all the time, its epic, one question, i noticed that a piece was used in the new underwold awakening score by paul haslinger...between 1:50 and 2:05 in your video, and in the several tracks in the underworld score precisely in the track "a new dawn" at 0:10 more or less. I want to know where that piece is coming from...thanks a lot

  • @kgbeast It's a sample from a collection called "Deepest India". The instrument is called a dillrabar. :)

  • NOBODY wants to see you, we wana hear the music!

  • @sexypeterwhite Too bad.

  • /watch?v=OFhPVR9UA3k this one is my own version. take a minute and listen it! I hope you like this

  • @nomad4031 Love it! Totally awesome around 1:10!

  • Gman: Gordon Freeman in the flesh... Or rather in Blue T-Shirt. I took a liberty of relieving you of your instruments. Most of them were Sony's property. And as for the T-Shirt.. I think you earned it.

  • @MrRytuklis LOL I think it was my Raccoon City PD shirt, actually. :P

  • @ThatOneComposerGuy Thaha. DO you catch the refference? :D

  • Are you using a program? Cos I've been trying a million and one things and I haven't found a program that sounds half realistic? Could you recommend one?

  • @bXANDERb Honestly, I cut and paste wav samples into Sony ACID. It takes an extremely long time to produce something, but it gives me WAY more control over my sounds than simply playing on a keyboard. Only other things I use are a Korg Triton (mostly for interesting synth) through GuitarPort, which I also use to record guitar and bass. I have a very strange setup, but the results speak for themselves, I guess. LOL

  • This is really awesome, Man. Using the ethnic styled sound was a good way of getting the listener to relate to the human side of the war, in an odd sort of sense. In my opinion, the listener really gets an understanding of the two polarized sides of the universe as well, but, at the same time, their intimate ties. Over all, I'd say an A+. Now, if we can only find a way to REALLY make AI so we can hang out with it o_0.

  • @EJNewbury Well, thanks, man. Means a lot to hear that. :) I try to put musical subtext into things that way. And yeah, I could use an automaton to make me an omelet, right about now. But if he doesn't want to, I might be responsible for the apocalypse. :P

  • Hi. I found this mix some months back, and just found it again. Genius, dude. It's helping me get through a day of freelance, so good on ya for making a great remix ; ) - I look forward to anything else you post!

  • Great overall but percussion need some work in my opinion. It could have been better.

  • @KobraSahin You must have extremely handsome genitalia, then. LOL

  • 2:42 is like fire and damnation.

  • lol Is

     FOUR FUNN, thumbs up Borat!

  • @Erik0072 I think I stole that from Nacho Libre. LOL

  • when is episode three coming out

  • @haddad717 Not soon enough!

  • hi, this might be a bit of a big ask considering i dont know you lol but i loved your score!!! and i was wondering if you'd consider putting together a 40 second clip of a re-worked terminator theme for my sarah connor chronicles intro that im working on???

  • @SuperSammyfish Yeah, I might be interested in that. I've been extremely sidetracked lately and haven't been able to focus on my larger themes, but I think a 40 second clip might be something I can work in. I'll message you my e-mail address.

  • i think it was good, but it built up to something, but didn't have anything to show at the end

Either that or the ending wasn't big enough

  • i think it was good, but it built up to something, but didn't have anything to show at the end

  • You look like Gordon Freeman -.-

    THE END!!!!

  • My nickname is the Yoga Terminator and I usually use the Terminator theme in my classes and I just wanted to say that this the most spiritual version I have ever heard! Absolutely fantastic! Is there a way to buy your version!! I definitely want to use it in my classes!!

    Namaste,

    The Yoga Terminator

  • @ByeByeBerti Well, thank you, my friend. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :D Unfortunately, since the theme isn't mine, I can't sell my re-orchestration of it. But I'm working on retouching this one, so I can see about perhaps getting you an MP3 or something when it's done. :)

  • Not bad. Very good actually. I agree with ceyxxx that your version would be better suited for the Sarah Connor Chronicles because that showed more of a softer human-like side to the machines. But very good work guy.

  • Wow... Man... You are REALLY good.

I have an obsessive love fot Terminator, and this has to be the BEST fan-made theme I have heard to date!

  • this is fucking awesome men damn you good!

  • hmmm...this might actually work for a nice gothic belly dance choreography!

  • I like it..sort of does bring out a more human side to it...if they ever had a sad depressing moment to end the film series..i'd use this music to end it..really awesome mate

  • Sounds really good. Very original.

  • battlestar galactica style. nice job man

  • This would have totally worked on the Sarah Connor Chronicles!

  • I like this alot,I just wish you had a link to download this, anyway this gives me Ideas for the story of the Terminator, during the early years of the war vs skynet, skynet sends her machine army to attack Africa and the middle east, shes attacks Africa for metals (of course) to built more machines, and shes attacks the middle east for oil for her machines,if they added that to another movie they are making this theme would be great for it.anyway great work.

  • Dude This Is Awesome I Beat Beats But More Of A Hip Hop Thing You Know Could YOu check It Out SwiftSab Ill Try To Remake This Too

  • could you please listen to my version of the soundtrack for Terminator Salvation? think might interest you ... 1000 thanks

  • @ppvideoeditor I really dig it, man! Excellent variations and use of sound textures! Great work!

  • Great Score, what program did you use for making this? Miroslav?

  • @Tangakkai Sony ACID and a buttload of sample libraries and loops. Trust me, it's a looong process. LOL

  • i actually really like this remake.... but i wish you wouldn't talk in the begining. just skip to the song. i really like it

  • @Bleeper168 I get that a lot. Unfortunately, I'm here to showcase myself as a composer (and perhaps get some work out of it), so it's important that I set up my music before I play it. Otherwise I'm just another radio channel. I'm trying to keep them shorter these days, though. :}

  • can you do predators?

  • I like this, excellent... try theme song from Braveheart... :D

  • @Birtija13 Thankya. :D I love the score to Braveheart. In what way should I redo it, though, since it's already played by orchestra? Maybe a rock version? That could be fun.

  • @ThatOneComposerGuy

yeah, I was also listen "Terminator Theme Electric Guitar" and it's awesome, I listen that all time, braveheart with electric guitar will be also great video...

  • @Birtija13 Hmmm, this could definitely be worth a try. :D

  • @Birtija13 cool, try it :D

  • Glorious day for....the mid-eastern resistance? xD

    Nice re-orchestration anyhow.

  • awesome!

  • Great, now terrorists are in with skynet.

  • @mistaserious3 That's a pretty cool parallel. I guess that's what the Terminators are, basically. ;P They hide in plain sight, then attack without warning, all the while with a greater goal in mind. I never thought about that.

  • I should not have to listen to over a minute of Gordon Freeman to get to a song. Just play the music.

  • @Bluedeanie I'm sorry you feel that way, but I'm not gonna change what I've been doing just because you don't wanna listen to what I have to say. This isn't a radio station, it's my personal page, and I'm not on here simply to showcase my scores; I'm here to get work as well. And so far, so good. For what it's worth, after this one, I tried to keep my "liner notes" shorter. This was the first one I ever posted. Call it a learning experience.

  • the India people are lucky because this is the theme for the indian release of terminator lol

  • NICE

  • lol, wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. Nice job, bedu terminator =)

  • Very nice work. The ethnic-style is not something I expected but it broadens the feel of the song quite a bit.

  • That's amazing.

  • As a huge Terminator fan, I must say, very well done. Keep up the good work

  • Gordon Freeman did a pretty good job here...

    Nice one :P

  • This song is very beautiful... I sensing a small contamination of bsg theme song...

  • Not bad at all

  • Thumbs up from me! Love how you've really brought out the middle-eastern flavour in this iconic tune. I could really picture the film opening on some sand-swept battlefield. Salvation was certainly better than the P.O.S that was "T3" *shudders*, but it just wasn't a true Terminator film. The music being a huge reason for that. The nod to Guns 'n' Roses was nice, at least.

  • This beats Elfman's piece of crap. Definitely.

  • Man that's nice...

  • that sounds amazing

  • The terminator theme is just one of those things that fits so perfectly... I can't think of anything else that could ever take the place of it. It's so beautiful and emotional. Love love love it. I hope it's in future terminator movies :/

  • Well that was much better than I expected, well done.

  • I really liked the direction you were taking it in. Although if I was to suggest one thing, I'd say it needed some more heavy bass notes for the crescendo, something metallic and loud to really add that harsh, monolithic feeling of legion the Terminators give off.

Otherwise it kicked a lot of ass! It really gave off a feeling of the post apocalyptic wasteland.

  • Gordan Freeman? lol

  • @WarriorLeonardo Absolutely! :D

  • @WarriorLeonardo dam it i was gonna say that

  • Sounds really interessting, like it. Somehow I emediatly thougt of a Terminator movie with a setting in the middle east! =D

  • much better than the fucking movie

  • Sounds like it should've been used at the end of the new Galactica series.

  • It's like if Skynet bombed Egypt.

  • @TakronRust More like Iraq. :P

  • woooow luv this... where can I get it? please write back. thx

  • @MiamiViceStyle Workin' on doing a website. Might make some MP3's available through there.

  • cool as hell! Great sound too.

  • Danny Elfman take notes, god how could he not do something like this?! Multi-million dollar film and they still just can't figure out the basic stuff audiences wants!

  • Like the Terminator Theme and the REAL Arnold XD Nothing against CB.. But Arnie as the lead was always awsome. and as much as I hated his kinda Winey Voice, The Kid from T2 made a better John Connon XD

  • What kinda sucks baout the movie (salvation) are the termiantors. They're meant to be not-CGI to give it a more life feel. THe problem, howeve, is that they literally move like pupplets, like someone is pulling at them from one or the other side (which they are doing too). Also do they look like they have too much mass, while these types of terminators look way cooler if they have a more skeleton kind of look. Not too much mass in there. Anyway, the track sounds relaly good. A bit short though

  • @PowerRedBull I've been toying with the idea of expanding this one. I need to fix a few things I don't like, too. :P

  • love it, fantastic, really great!!!

I REALLY like the half-life song you made aswell! (I'm a BIG terminator [and] Half-Life fan!)

you look like Gordon Freeman (compliment)

  • @LuwiiiMusic LOL Thank you, on all accounts.

  • this is so cool!!! good job boy!!!

  • totally agree that we need the MP3....It is totally awesome. Good job man!

  • here's a suggestion. M3P LINK!!!!!

It was one of the best remixes of the song I have ever heard. I'd love to have it on my iPod

  • wow dude you nailed it big time, give us the mp3 version please!!

  • that was amazing sir and did i mention that you look a lot like gordon freeman from half-life? lol

  • i was about to say it XD

  • @HalcyonSyzygy Ahh yes, the Freeman..

  • It's awesome.

but maybe more longer will be better..

  • awesome, if possible i would like a mp3 copy of this.

  • I'm workin' on it. LOL Gonna see about getting a site and I'll see about make it available from there. :)

  • do you have windows movie maker???

  • after ravaging the wasteland of youtube in search of some awesome fan made alternate film themes i happned to stumble across this, how i previoused missed it, i dunno, but this i FUCKING (sorry for swearing, just a simplified expressions) amazing, rather than guitars, techno, electro...etc beats, you kept it simple, added some alternate instruments and vocals, and in my eyes ended up as perfection, nice going dude

  • LOL Thanks, man. Means a lot to hear it. Yeah, I got sick of a lot of the techno and metal remixes. I just wrote a piece that I wanted to hear, personally (after being disappointed by the lack of Fiedel's theme in Salvation), and I'm happy other are digging it. :D

  • absolutely, danny elfman in salvation just didnt perform perfection unlike fiedel.

  • @ThatOneComposerGuy It WAS in Salvation as a motif, Elfman disguised it with a layer of originality. I like your take on the theme too.

  • @FluffyBunniesOnFire Actually, and unfortunately, McG and Elfman both stated that they were purposefully avoiding the use of the original theme because they "wanted this film to stand out from the others", or some crap like that. Huge mistake. Elfman's theme usues the same cadence as Fiedel's, but it's not even in the same key, I don't think. He did his own thing. It was like Indiana Jones without the Raider's March. :'(

  • @ThatOneComposerGuy

I'm just saying you can't carry the score of an entire franchise on one musical idea. The iconic beat was withheld for an hour and released for effect at the proper time.

  • not better than original one, but still it was great!!! wish you only success because everything else you`ve already got, i think :)

  • k hearing it again for the 5 or 6th time XD ho-ly-fu-**ing-sh*t this is badass :D

  • that is pretty bad ass, sir ; ) favorited #nofate

  • I keep watching this. Wish I had a mp3 of it now.

Like I said, it's grown on me. I was way too harsh on it at first.

  • Wow, a pretty amazing approach, I was a bit like *can't believe he just said african percussion O.O* before but I have to admit your version definetly came out better than I would have expected. Good Job, one for my favs! :)

  • LOL Yeah, when i was telling my friends I was gonna take this approach, they all looked at me like I was crazy. I was like, "just wait". :P Glad you enjoyed it.

  • @ThatOneComposerGuy

Which VSTI were you using to get those (single) voices?

  • @PowerRedBull None. I used waveforms from Voices of the Apocalypse cut and pasted into arrangement on Sony ACID. I'm poor...so I have to get clever. LOL

  • This is really good. Have you uploaded it anywhere as mp3?

  • I really have grown to like this allot.

I am sorry I was hard on it the first time.

Atleast it's there compared to Danny Elfman's lack of Terminator theme for Salvation, and the motif doesn't count.

  • LOL No worries, man. Glad I won ya over. :P

  • God damn! I definitely wasn't expecting an epic arrangement like that! You must be real good at this by now, cuz I want see this on the soundtrack! xD

  • LOL Well, thankya sir. I learn with every recording, so I'm always growing. :)

  • I second the Inspector Gadget theme suggestion.

I look forward to what you compose in the future.

  • Unfortuntely, I don't think I could ever out-do John Debney's epic arrangement for the 1999 film. I may still try, but I tell ya, Debney's score is pretty freakin' amazing.

  • Sick!

  • It's starting to grow on me. It isn't as good as Brad Fidel's 1984 original .

  • well i am sure my suggestions will go unnoticed but a really epic inspector gadget theme from the old cartoon could rock if you do it like its an epic peace.. a pimped out gremlins theme too!!! like part too but less laid back. make it like your in a grooup about to loot and pllage a place!! p.s. can i use your music in cartoon???

  • arrangers tend to make songs to sound like they're in a group, but to do that requires a LOT of experience and a good ear.

  • If you've heard John Debney's score to the live-action movie, that's pretty much as good as it could possibly get. LOL I doubt I could ever do better than that. Gremlins is a good idea, though! Message me about the cartoon. We'll see what we can work out. :)

  • This is actually rather beautiful beautiful, I am sick of people missing the chord one to 4 in the second 8 and you got it so well done. A nice take on an already beautiful melody....try lord of the rings, meet joe black ("that next place" if you are looking for a track) and the rock for future projects. Beautiful though

  • i've been a fan of terminator for some time, and even though t3 wasnt the best, i thought terminator salvation was good. i know lot of people hated it, and i know it could have been better, but i thought it was a enjoyable film

  • Hey! This is actually good.

I was just browsing YouTube looking for a compleatly different version of the Ternimator theme. Im glad I found this gem amidst all the crap. Well done sir!

  • No problem. Yeah I took it the wrong way.

But in the Terminator movies, they made it pretty clear they were nuclear now, so there wasn't as much of a dependancy for oil. Kinda like how the machines in The Matrix relied on the sun then later humans as a power source.

  • I hear ya. I just always wanted to see how the rest of the world was addressed. I've always wondered if the machines were localized in LA or if they expanded to other parts of the world. I always got the impression they were localized to the area surrounding Cyberdyne, etc, but ya never know. :D You're a true Terminator fan, Snake!

  • Brilliant! Well done.

The Indian instrument is a Sarangi. :-)

  • Thanks! And you know your instruments well. Impressive. :D

  • No T3 screwed up the story and then Salvation screwed it up even more.

Anyone who says otherwise is full of shit.

  • Totally agreed. The series shoulda stopped at T2.

  • I didn`t mean to be mean. But seriously, it`s like Star Wars not having the John Williams theme. It`s just not done for a reason. Which is why the movie flopped even more for me. Atleast T3 had the theme, T salvation is basically a big fuck you from McG to Terminator fans.

As for yours, it`s too arabic sounding. No offense, and I don`t mean to be racist either. It just doesn`t fit Terminator.

  • Dude, the first three covered time travel. But McG's trilogy covers The War Against The Machines. It fits fine if you open your mind a little.

  • I think you got the wrong impression. My re-orchestration wasn't meant to fit any existing Terminator film. The original idea was called "Terminator: Black". I didn't explain this in my video 'cause I didn't think there was a point, but anyways: the idea was about humans were trying to cut off the use of oil as a fuel source to the machines in the middle east. All the current films take place in L.A. I just wanted to try something different and show the fight elsewhere. :D

  • Incredible!!

  • Yeah sorry man i was super excited when i wrote it :-) cause i loved it! any way check out my superman vs terminator videos! let me know what you think!

  • Sorry, but it just doesn't fit Terminator. My 2nd favorite franchise outside of Metal Gear (been a fan since the original MG, not just Solid), and I have memorized them and the theme song. Sorry but your version although slightly better than Salvation's, still isn't as good as Fidel's.

But I so agree with you on there is no excuse for not having the Terminator theme. It's like Star Wars without the John Williams theme.

  • snake2006 - if your into metal gear then chech out the illuminati conspiracy...

  • Oh, well. Can't please everyone.

I deffinitely agree with you about Salvation's omission of Fiedel's theme, though. I mean, it's a TERMINATOR movie, for God's sake. It was like having Star Wars without the opening fanfare. Bugged the hell outta me.

  • i agree with dannys version that you made haha

it started off bad ass but then,.... it just died haha

  • OH. MY. GOD.

That was a LOT of win. ^^

I'd like to see you tackle more of Danny Elfman's stuff, or maybe Hans Zimmerman's big hit: he's a pirate.

I think I'll navigate over to your page and see what else you have.

  • Very Battlestar Galactica-ish.

  • Love it were can I get the music

  • Hey, man, if you ever make anymore of these, can you include things like taiko?

  • I went middle-eastern on this one, so Japanese percussion woulda been a little odd, but check out my Fist of the North Star theme. Taiko all over! ;}

  • I know, I was just saying that a taiko-based Terminator theme would be awesome. Like Battlestar Galactica, so to say, if it were in Terminator.

  • Ah, gotcha. Yeah, someone once said, on here, that I should try this with different world instruments. Like, in sections representing each country. Could be fun! :D

  • Yeah, I was thinking that you could make a District 9-type theme of this, it uses taiko and African drums to make it's own industrial beats.

  • Mate, this really original and cool. Where can I get the Mp3?

  • Unfortunately, I'm not gonna be making any MP3's available to the public just yet. I've had issues in the past where people had used my music in their video's without my permission. One even claimed he made it. It was flattering, while frustrating. LOL I might be making a website in a few months, so I might distrubute them from there or iTunes. Stay tuned. :}

  • this really has a more based kind of sense of being in like egypt or a desert type of setting fits the movie but needs more synths and more timpanis..... what was the program you used for this?

  • Yeah, the project was originally called "Terminator: Black", based on the idea of terminators in the middle east fighting for control of the oil fields, so I glad that comes across, musically. Tried to steer away from the timpanis and scale back until the later part. But, in retrospect, I agree with you. D'oh.

    As for what I'm using:

    A Korg Triton, Sony ACID Music Studio 7.0 and several gigs of samples in wav format. I kid you not. :}

  • I liked it a lot, but when the duhduh duh duhduh came in, it wasn't... EPIC enough...

  • Yeah, I probably coulda given it a little more balls. Oh, well. A lesson learned.

  • Pretty sweet man! I love the strange dissonance you have when the vocals kick in at 2:50.

  • Has Brad had a listen to this yet? Very original take, sahib!

  • Cool. I like the distinct sound. Feels like ancient Egypt meets The Terminator. I could totally see Skynet HQs and T800s hunting down resistance fighters around the Saraha and Skynet using the great pyramids as a base of operations.

  • i feel as if this should be vocied over with. "In the year 2025 B.C.

The Rise of the rock mutans rose.

And our olny hope is a man, who is half rock.

    Arnold Schwarzenegger is that man.

    *fades to black*

    Lets Rock. "

now i would go see that

  • "You're between me...and a haaahd place. GIT TO DA CHOPPA!!!"

  • It's weird, but I like it better than the original orchestrated version.

  • Wow! Thanks, man. :D

  • HE LOOKS LIKE GORDON FREEMAN!!!

  • No way. Gordon Freeman looks like ME! :P

  • @Fluffymagic77 Ha ha thats wat i was gona say!!!!!!! epic

  • I like this, especially the ethnic feel of it. First impression of the percussions was that they needed more punch but as it builds up its really fine... Can you tell me what plugins did u use? I guess it,s EWQL along with RA or Silk ( i dont have Silk =( ) and Voices of Passion with Stormdrums 2... I guess you have them on the Play engine too... Anyway talk to me about what you use in a private messages or something and check out my compositions.

    Good one dude

  • Thanks for the kind words, my friend. Wrong on all accounts with the equipment, though. LOL But I'm flattered that you thought I was using such equipment. I use Sony ACID and a buttload of wav samples. :P Maybe someday I'll be able to afford pro-tools and a rack set-up or something like that, but until then, it's cut, paste and crossfade for me. :} Thanks again.
