  • i got this from tripping on drugs =/

  • I have this, only for my left eye, i can see it with my right eye too, just not as strong As if that would not be enough, my left eyesight is quite bad.

  • This Video is rally bad becouse i got visual snow!

    The particles are not moving!

But u can see them the whole time!

  • Luckily my VS is not that bad and I can live it. I do see it of course, but it doesn't bother me as much as before... I'm 16. Bright rooms and sun bothers me a bit though... I think you have to try to live with it really.

  • @Llamasloveme Hi, I'm seventeen and I just got VS a few weeks ago, but it doesn't really impact my life in any serious way (I can still read small print and drive), its just a slight annoyance. I don't know how long you have had it of course, but does it get any worse or is this it? Anyway, thank you for reading, and a reply would be much appreciated, thanks.

  • @ShadyisInfinite VS is worst at night, yes. It also seems - from anecdotal evidence - that people with VS have more floaters. There are a lot of people with VS on the Facebook page with the same name. A nice group if you have questions (though be aware: some obsess a lot about the condition and this can be contagious in its own way).

  • what most people dont realize is that snowy vision is normal vision. its a sign of an expanding consciousness. embrace it and you'll see and understand more things... and more clearly

  • vision snow is not so bad, but worst is depersonalization;// which i got and also vison snow

  • uhhh I have visual snow...but this is way more intense than I have it, Im only 18 I hope mine doesnt get this bad D:

  • But it's not really bad visual snow, it's more just like seeing a lot of floaters along w/ flashes when i look at the sky or something i am 14 btw so is this normal???

  • uh oh that means i have visual snow which i thought was all normal and apart of life

  • This video isn't entirely accurate for me. My dots are tiny (as small as you can imagine possibly seeing), and they don't move around a whole lot (I can't really describe the motion, but if I tried, I'd say they look like they're shaking in place. ) It's better in bright light, and much worse in dark light. In the dark, sometimes they flicker out and in. (like flashing) There's a facebook group where people are contacting reseachers now. Just search " visual snow".

  • @bornforwater2 hey i think i am experiencing the same thing as you, is your night vision really bad, and do you see alot of floaters and flashes of light also, and yea my snow vision is much worse in the dark and i cant see much at night

  • @bornforwater2 hey i think i am experiencing the same thing as you. Is your night vision really bad, can you not see much at night. And do you see alot of floaters and flashes of light in addition. Thanks i had this checked out numerous times but nothing showed up . glad to see someone might be experiencing the same thing.

  • Anyone else see a lot of purple?

  • i have it to but not as bad on the visual or the tenitis..plus the grainy effect on the words actually helped.lol

  • My visual snow isnt that bad. For me its more like looking at the stars in the night sky.

  • Ah well we just have a fancy post processing "film grain" effect,

what others dont have. With their cheap no effects vision...

  • Causion; " I don't take the responsibility if you do something wrong by listening to my solution. If you do something wrong it's your OWN fault and not mine!"

Guys I just found how to cure this problem!? The reason why people can't find the cure, is because that they call this problem Snow Vision. Do NEVER call this problem Snow Vision. If you are seeing noise effects, flickering lights, darker vision, sensitive to lights then the problem is called Photosensitivity Epilepsy. Contact a neurolog

  • The video is a bit overdone and bulky, I see MANY small tiny dots, I only had it when its dark or a bit darker, but now when I read about this I see them on large single colored areas also.

I had this as long I can remember, I think its just over sensitive to the cones and sensors in the eye. And tobad once it is seen it cannot be unseen, like the stuttering frames on movies with panning camera's

  • @murray821 I all of a sudden starting having visual snow during the day. Or at least I started noticing it more. Do you have any idea what this means?

  • I had this for soooooo long until I found a working, natural treatment and cure on evisualsnow dot c o m

  • I see mosaic coloured patterns sometimes too.

  • That's quite an extreme case in the video :> I've also got visual snow, floaters, glowy after-images and rather pronounced bright light halos but here it's a bit, well... I guess you can't really make an accurate representation without a million DPI screen. Still, it's especially notice-able in dark spots. Not really a problem otherwise, although I've got that strange feeling that it's causing a loss of effective focus distance (i.e. short-sightedness but not really).

  • Look for a paper online called " Visual Perception of Stochastic Resonance ", also check wiki for " Stochastic resonance (sensory neurobiology ) " I have it too, it's actually a benefit, see above mentioned paper :)

  • @1isaacmusic Superb! I've researched this and I think it's pretty much on the money. Search for SR for Fingerpirnt Image video on youtube. It looks like VS and also explains why we see the sheerers phenomenon and cell like floaters. Because our vision is now hyper sensitive and is able to pick these things up, thanks to the added noise input. VS therefore isn't as bad as it's made out to be! It may be annoying but this explanation really does lift a weight off my shoulders

  • @UKMatt85 Excellent !! Given that the " opponent color process " ( check wiki ) states that the rods and cones in our eyes measure the difference in colors and not the colors themselves ( more efficient ) than I can feel comfortable inferring that black and white are the two easist colors to translate to a signal, thus improving the effect. I'm going to have to keep searching for literature, most work interpeting signals is in it's infancy. Glad I could help :)

  • I think i have thisd but not that bad like i have 20/20 vision yet i see static when i look at night sky or wallls but i barley notice when i look at somet

  • It's note quite as bad as that for me, I've always wondered what it was though. I see exactly that and hear constant ringing, except what I see is a lot smaller, but I see it moving fast.

  • some advice - have the size of the blood vessels in your retina checked to see if they are unusually small.

  • I have had this condition since young childhood. I don't exactly know when it started, but remember at a young age seeing the snowy vision and starbursts. I also suffer from tinnitus, and have since I was a young child as well. This is a frustrating condition, and I feel for all of you who have been looked at like you were a fool when telling a dr. or family member. I was laughed at by the optometrist. My guess is that is was caused by a virus.

  • i just had this snowy vision started 2 days ago !! is there a cure for it >?

  • @UFO00000000000000000 Unfortunately, no. There are different medications you can try that work for some people, but not for everyone. I would recommend seeing a eye or brain doctor. Ever since mine appeared in September of 2007, it never went away.

  • my visual snow went away when i took the antidepressant celexa. id either try that or eat healthier and exersize...

  • visual snow makes life feel non-vivid and suckish.

  • @bioun try the antidepressant celexa. i was totally "spacey" and felt my vision looked unreal until i gave that a try. It is such a wonderful antidepressant and i believe the visual snow has something to do with serotonin

  • @bioun Yeah, I know. Visual Snow has made some people pick up a drug addiction/dependence. Mostly to prescriptions medicines. It's the only thing that can make their life seem temporarily better, but then they develop a whole new set of problems.

  • I thought everyone had it so i never payed attention to until recently. I don't remember when it started.

  • @HotTopGaming

It could be Blue Light Sprites, an thats normal. Little fast moving dots flying around when you look at the (Blue) sky or a blue light. It's White blood cells which absorb the light coming into your vision, it has a wikipedia page :)

  • thumbs for those on the yuku board?

  • I Think i Just have Floaters.

  • If I look closely into the air, I can see billions (literally) of tiny dots flying fast. Is it visual snow, or can everyone see them?

  • @HotTopGaming

Dude I have the same problem and yeah :( it is Snow Vision... you can see the examples of that problem on this link visualsnow,com/examples/pictures/

remember that i typed , instad of a . just change the symbols so you can check the website. If so Youtube wont allow me to send it to you....but doctors are still working on solving this problem.

  • @HotTopGaming Yeah it's probably VS.

  • i have had vs for 6 years. In the beginning it was horrible, but after a while i got used to it. Then, on a sunny day of this spring, i decided to lay down on our trampoline for a sun soak. Sadly i did not wear my sunglases. Big mistake. Now the VS is intruding to the point where it is taking over my whole life. This i won't be able to get used to, it's everywhere and horribly intense. I figured sunbathiing with eyes closed would be harmless, so did my eyedoctor. 2 months, no change. Terrified

  • @aigg Hi! Just wanted to know how your visual snow is now. Has it improved?

  • @MrFaulconbridge Unfortunately not. I won't lie; it's absolutely horrible and i can not find a way of getting used to it. It really is a 24/7 terror that can only be avoided during sleep. Of course getting to sleep is not so easy either, as i can't get it dark anymore. I close my eyes an all i see are these millions of sparkling "particles", making me see light where there is none. Like tiny explosions constantly going off in front of my eyes. Doctors don't have a clue. Pretty hopeless situation

  • @aigg Sorry to hear that. I've been having some other symptoms like muscle numbness/tingling and headache pains throughout the day. Hopefully my doctor will give me an MRI to check for multiple sclerosis.

I think you should get an MRI too just to rule out anything serious. Just remember there are others suffering from it and you are not the only one. Stay strong and don't let it control your life.

Some people believe visual snow is some type of permanent migraine aura or mental strain.

  • @MrFaulconbridge i have the exact same symptoms ..

getting an mri in 2 weeks. let me know if u find anything !

  • doctoroz (dot com) /contact

Hello everyone.. are you ready to post your VS history on Dr. Oz's website all at one time by July 10th ?? We have 10 days in order to tell as much VS sufferers as we can to post their stories at that timing too =)

Please ALL let's give it a try.. don't forget or be lazy :P:D Set your cellphone reminders rt. now ;)

  • @Butterflygul

I live in Denmark and have the BEST story.... according to this problem, it can come from Computer lights or Video game consoles and yes that's where I got my Snow Vision from.... can you please give me his mail or the link, where I can post my story!!!

  • Always had it. I'm a 20 year old female. Only thing that annoys me is migraines from light sensitivity. I live in Arizona so I can't escape the sun. I spent 80 bucks on the perfect sun glasses to help. I have ringing in the ears. My vision stays fine during the dark. When its snowing. It messes with your perception big time lol. Best advice is get good glasses to shield the sun and always wear them. Avoid looking at lights directly and forget 3D movies. Good luck guys.

  • god i hate this shit... i have had it my whole life i just never realized it until recently, and now its sort of worse since i know its not normal... I also have floaters, flashers, and if i look at something and look away the form of the object will still sort of be there, but that usually happens in the dark... this doesnt really affect me that much, i still live my life, just dont think about it and it will seem like it isnt there at all... I also have moderate anxiety and stress problems.

  • ahh i hate visual snow its so annoying, ive only had it for a year but jeez i cant get used to it but its worse in the dark especially when im trying to sleep

  • I have had visual snow my whole life, and it's never caused me any problems. It does have a small affect on my vision, but I have average vision. I have other visual disturbances too. I can see how it might irritate or interfere with someone's life if it just suddenly developed.

  • @wildnose94 Same goes for me, though it is quite pronounced in my vision, I don't remember life without it. My vision is terrible, like 20/50, and I don't wear contacts or glasses plus I have floaters too but for some reason it still doesn't bother me at all.

  • I see tons of white dots but they arn't in motion and my ears ring alot it kind of sucks cause i wanna join the military when I am older but I am useless in the dark..

  • @thesnake9988 your fucked! But it's ok cause i'm fucked to =)

  • I have it since 1/2 year..it sucks.

Every doctor I tell what I am suffering from looks at me like I am a fool. Probably they think I'm crazy or that I'm joking..

I'm kinda happy that I'm not the only one ...

  • I have the same problem.. People from thosewithvisualsnow yuku dot com are trying to reach dr oz show. I cant insert sites or links here.. if you google thosewithvisualsnow "paging dr oz" we are trying to get visualsnow hppd on his show so it get media attention! So maybe make a video about trying to get people with this disease sending there messages? And there is also a foundation called the eyeonvision (google it) who are trying to get research maybe make a video about that?

  • I have snow vision and have to say that that we suffer this problem we see enough good, the points scarcely are obvious in the clarity, in the darkness they are obvious much more but a correct visualization does not prevent

  • Ive had Visual Snow my entire life (im 30) and I never knew what it was called until today! Will deff have to talk to my Opthamologist about this!

  • @xynephadyn vision snow is a neurological problem, not an eye problem. Basically your brain is unable to process the image correctly. I also have vision snow, although maybe not as bad as in this video. At least not when it showed the computer screen/paper with text part. I dont see those other symptoms that were listed, but sometimes i have depth perception problems and am unable to determine how far away a wall is for example.

  • Mine gets worse by the day.... Its multicolored for me too.

  • i only see this at night or when I close my eyes

  • This is really sad :(

  • Comment removed

  • So true... :(

  • when i was young i thought i had a special gave i cud see bacterias.

  • @7JDH7NL7 I thought they were bracelets or something from the spirit world. xD Until I found out their called floaters. So much for feeling special and gifted. :(

  • @7JDH7NL7 ahaha lol when i was younger i thought i could see the radiation in the air that no one else could see lol.

  • @7JDH7NL7

lol i thought the same thing.

  • @7JDH7NL7 me, too :O :O :O

  • I see this at night. When I was a kid I thought I was "seeing air" or molecules!

  • i used to get visual snow bad also. fuckin weed......Xanax cured it though THANK GOD FOR XANAX . Gods miracle in a pill :D

  • Dude i used to smoke weed all the time and i developed fucking Panic disorder and i used to get this. Thank god i was prescribed Xanax and Paxil they fixed it and i dont get derealization as much......Xanax = Life saver

  • could i still join the army with this

  • guys im having an MRI on my brain hopefully thay can find a cause becourse visual snow can come from any think

  • I thought this was normal!!!

  • @aC1dxN1gHtM4rEs Quite honestly, I've always seen this. For as long as I can remember. I've never been on a hallucinogenic drug not have I been diagnosed with a sort of mental problem. I remember trying to explain to my mother at a very early age that I could see air molecules. Later on in my childhood I thought I could see energy, but outside of those two incidences I always thought everyone saw this.

  • @aC1dxN1gHtM4rEs Same here .... I figured it was what everyone saw. And I also thought I was seeing molecules

  • Yea i have been experiencing it . It started mildly i could just see it when ever i closed my eyes but then as of actually now this morning i can clearly see it everywhere.

  • last night when i looked at the floor in the house i saw abit of orange colour for a few secs, has anyone else seen this?

  • hey thumbs up if when your outside in the day and u look at the sky or clouds u can see the millions of dots like me :(

  • @SUPERDEADLYKING same here

  • @CannibalTr0ll okay looks like im not the only one lol

  • @SUPERDEADLYKING its red blood cells, and everybody can see them against blue backround.

  • when i came across visual snow/static i essentially had close to a panic attack because i was experiencing all the symptoms. I obsessed over it and googled for about 2 weeks, only making the symptoms worse. I was taking prescribed medication when it began. I have since stopped taking all medication and its already 80% better. I believe it got worse when I would think about it and focus on it, so for 2 weeks i didnt think about it, now when I try to focus on it, well theres nothing to focus on.

  • When I finish my degree, I'm doing research on this. VS is such a burden in my life and, I assume, the lives of many others.

  • @gl0ria <3

  • im pretty sure half of you guys dont have hppd. you just see the dots b/c your eyes are strained . almost everyone see's these "dots"

  • im not sure if i have this. I barely notice the vision problems when I am outside. It appears if I am looking at a wall or a computer scree. It seems to be like shakey kinda vibration in my vision. Its constant and has not stopped. It began when i started taking anti-biotics. Its not neccesarily couloured dots, just shakey and kinda vibrates. It makes my eyes strain when I want to read something. If you know what this is please let me know. Thanks

  • ever since i was a child i would see millions of red static dots falling down from my ceiling as i lay in bed at night... weird stuff

  • today i thought i was seeing a blind spot just to the left of my center focus and then about 20 minutes later i started getting swirly static in the shape of a large lower case letter "r" almost completely filling my field of view. I have had tinnitus all my life. Lately the tinnitus has been stronger due to a flu, but maybe now i'm thinking it's the medications i was taking? I was taking sudafed PE and Mucinex 1200 but have been off of them for a few days, maybe it's a latent side effect?

  • i get a similar vision fuck up about 20 or 30 min's before i get a migrane and while i have it i cant really read very well,

and then it kinda drifts off to the side and then i get a migrane headache, i have only had like 3 but its about the same every time, i think i get it cuz i use the computer so much i spend a looot of time working and watching reading playing on the computer

  • @chikotube yah dude I wouldnt be surprised at all, i was taking anti-biotics when it started. I stopped them last week and its already much better. such a relief i thought i was gonna have this all my life. I have the utmost sympathy for people who experience this.

  • I read somewhere that EVERYONE has this, but people who suffer from neurological disorders, notice it. I think weed caused this for me. Not exactly sure. I got so high one night, had an episode of DP, woke up the next morning seeing this. At times, I don't notice it, but at other times, I do. I only notice it when it clicks in my head that it's there, then I try to notice it. That's why I think it's a neurological and has nothing to do with your eyes. I had my eyes checked. Near perfect.

  • Where is the research? I read that there is no current research on this.. It makes me so mad.. I just want a cure :(

  • Let's keep our fingers crossed!

  • There needs to be more research done on this condition. I've had it 15 + years, I see the snow/static in almost all conditions. Worse in the night. I also have migraine aura like symptoms when I try and sleep in a darkened room. Lots of light flashing before my eyes, This is worse when I sleep.

It's a lousy condition to have, but we could have something far far worse aswell. You've just got to try and stay positive, even when it get's the better of you some days. Dont let it get in the way.

  • @UKMatt85 It get;s in my way..Its horrible it's so worse know i çan't even read normally.. and after images and tinnitus... DOES ANYBODY SUPPORT EYEONVISION. ORG??? they only research where getting if we donate money Im going to send money every month.. Hope people also do the same...its can also be A PROGRESSIVE disease...so well.....

  • Sorry to hear that Ben : (. It really is horrible to live with mate, I'm sorry to hear it gets in your way even when you try and focus on other things. Only us sufferers really understand what it's like. Trying to explain to other people the problems we face is the toughest challenge.

  • @UKMatt85 Yeah thanks for the support mate. I really can't take this any more I have a appointment about three weeks with my neurologist but if they can't help me then I quit to much is to much if it was okay visual snow but its so heavy now... Somebody should make a video about the eye on vision ...

  • I seem to have this. though not very intensely as in the video, it doesn't affect or disturb my vision if I concentrate on it.

doc says there are no unusual linked symptoms.

much more research needs to be done in this.

  • Most researches believe that its a chemical imbalancement from what ive read and i also believe it to be, i had it for a while and i also did some cannabis bout a year later i noticed it got slightly worse for a little while and it went back to how it usually was again, luckily i only have it mild however ive started to notice like blue flashing lights etc too. Anyway jopefully we will get some good news soon, and remember guys get ur eyes checked if its not ur eyes it will be chemical

  • This thing scares me so much. I hate my life right now.

  • @jayxcore Almost everyone has this.

  • Wow alot of you are hypochondriacs, which means you think you have alot of problems or diseases when really you are fine, if you have visual snow you will know it its not like a thinking matter. and i think im a hypochondriac because i thought i had this visual snow/hppd but really it was just the glares on the wall from all the dam sunlight reflecting of snow coming threw my blindssss, your fine ok!

  • Is it really that bad? I get it as intense as the left image, just slight noise

  • i had this since i was like 13-14, now i am 21 and i still have it, and it got worse:D

  • gah bro, it'd be amazing if they had a cure or some what better idea how to get rid of this most the time i can ignore it but when i actually pay attention and see it everywhere it really does bother me..its not something i want to deal with my whole life.. hope you and everyone else who has it can get this problem fixed. and i hope they offer more research to this problem in the future.

  • i've this since i was 10 now i'm 14, i live in brazil, when i say that i have this, people say is psychological =/

it's not as bad as others diseases, but it bothers a lot, and i don't know, it gives me anxiety

  • It's cool that there is now a facebook for visual snow. Anybody joined?

  • Btw, i too have been experiencing tinnitus (that was, at one point extreme), but it has been subsiding over the past few weeks.

  • I notice that the visual snow becomes more intense when looking at something (like a tv or computer screen, or something similar that emits light), and she says that this is because the more you focus on something, the more the jelly works and causes the snow to get worse.

So your theory about LCD or CRT screens and electro impulses is likely correct!

I have recently been spending more time away from screens and i try to avoid staring at something for long, and my snow has become less intense.

  • @kydjg

I have also had Visual Snow since i was a young boy. I was introduced to computers and extensive gaming at around 11 years old, and this is when it really started.

I went to the optician last week, and she said that it is caused by the jelly at the back of our eyes (i forgot its name) that is used for focusing and depth perception in dim conditions.

Visual snow is (according to her) when this jelly becomes over active and actually allows you to see whats inside it)

    (more in next part

  • everybody who has this should get tested for Lyme disease! Could be the reason!

  • do i have this?? its not my whole vision.. its more like far away on objects i see like little snow falling or little specs of rain drizzle... i think my anxiety triggered it off?

  • I was so relieved to have seen this... but i feel horrible that there is no cure. I remember noticing i had this when i was about 5.. and i am now 23. It has gotten much worse and I have pretty much a constant headache now from trying to focus... sometimes it gets really bad. I'm so tired of having it and I'm so sick of not being able to see much of ANYTHING but "snow" in dim lighted areas... and in bright area's my headaches get much worse..

  • Comment removed

  • I have the "visual snow" too, never knew what it was until today. It causes small 'pixel-like' vision that is noticed all the time, although sometimes I CAN forget about it.... Just very noticable during the night and low-light. The doctor said I am not going blind as there is nothing wrong with my eyes. I also get floaters too. Does anyone know of any medication or treatment to at least dim this symptom down????

  • Thankfully mine isn't quite as bad as what's shown here. I'm 17 and I've always had snowy vision and occasionally (once every couple of months) I'll get the ringing. It's with me everywhere i go but the only time i really have to pay attention to it is when it's dark or when I'm looking at the sky. The billions of moving dots used to give me panic attacks (perhaps others who see them understand why) but I've found ways to be less bothered by it. Since I have, I know others can too :)

  • this is driving me nuts! i see millions of tiny dots where ever i look but can see more in the dark and it looks like the dots move,is this what is called visual snow?????

  • @Nukedphone thanks :)

  • @SUPERDEADLYKING mee to

  • @SUPERDEADLYKING Well, kind of. I have visual snow and looks just like a static television screen. It looks exactly like the youtube video. It gets a lot worse for me at night though, I hardly notice it during the day time.

  • @Grimfaith87 I think your vision snow is EXACTLY the same as mine lol. I dont notice it during the day unless it crosses my mind, but during the night with light bulb light it can sometimes get bad. It also looks like tv static to me as well.

  • The dots i see are extremly miniscule and vibrate like fuck

  • Mine doesn't look anything like that. It's also more colorful and distorts where I'm seeing things (as if everything is moving when it shouldn't be, especially with kinds of lightning or reading black text on white, like here).

I've also always had mild tinnitus, but within the past few months it's gotten significantly worse and I'm scheduled to see a doctor about it. It now overtakes most sounds around me.

  • Yes I get brain fog, concentration problems, all with this.

I've actually been treating myself with a doctor for mercury toxicity, and Candida overgrowth and have had some success in getting this under control.

For months I had adopted a very bad diet and lifestyle, and suddenly overnight I had this problem. Ringing, vision problems a month later, headaches and anxiety attacks, confusion and brain fog. I cut out sugar, carbs, and Candida stuff, and it started to abate. Look into it.

  • Does anyone else get brain fog/memory problems/ concentration problems along with this??

  • @kp018boy

I get mild visual snow, ,3D-ness of my vision seems 'weird', variations in brightness of vision, increased after images, occasional slight flickering/flashing, dizziness (feeling off balance), general weakness/fatigue, brain fog, severe concentration problems. I also get occasional migraine headaches. All the perceptual stuff is pretty much constant 24/7 though varies in intensity. My current neurologist thinks it may be at least partially migraine related.

  • @foxyloficus i get the dizziness along w/ the visual snow too. but the brain fog/concentration problems is the part that bothers me the most-- i can't recall words quickly enough and i feel like i've become a retard. i need to read simple things twice and often ask people to repeat things.. anyone try any meds for this?

  • @kp018boy You sound just like me, I work in IT and I use to be pretty sharp, but I can't take in info quickly any more. I feel like a retard or that I'm going senile. I was put on the anti-migraine drug Sibelium briefly but I had severe side effects within a few days so had to stop. I'm reluctant to try any more drugs, as Sibelium is supposed to be one of the most benign, and my family have a history of bad responses to pharmaceuticals. I'm trying magnesium & folate at the moment

  • @kp018boy

If you haven't already you should get blood tests done, especially b12/folate levels. B12/folate deficiencies can cause brain fog. Could be a quick win for you. Folate has definitely helped me in that respect, though my b12/folate levels are good now, Concentrating on the magnesium.

  • THE REAL CAUSE OF VISUAL SNOW IS VERTEBRAL ARTERY SYNDROME. JUST CHECK UP YOUR NECKS !

  • @Tornando1373 how do you know. Does this cause blindness???

  • @Gearsajo This has nothing to do with eyesight. It's a vascular dysfunction.

  • @Tornando1373 Really? Well, who would I go to to get it checked on? Thanks though for the reply.

  • @Gearsajo

I have yet to hear of this causing blindness so no

  • Hm in my search for a solution for my visual snow i found some article on wikipedia on keratokonus.

en.wikipedia org wiki Keratoconus! It describes exactly the problems i have with light! I will seek the help of doctor here in Berlin as soon as i can!

  • Does this cause blindness? Anyone know?

  • @Gearsajo

no it doesn't seem to cause blindness

  • i see this sometimes during the dark, but more like a little small patch of tv static like image, and it only happens if i think of it, and if i don't remember about it, it never comes out. The only temporary cure for me was to look at light to get rid of it temporary =S

  • Personally I believe everyone has some visual snow. Since everyone's eyes are different in processing the things they see. I believe people can just have it worse. And I don't get the ringing sound to much. My sister and I were both born with it.

  • I also had this condition since childhood. I never really did any research on it till like 4 days ago. LOL now I'm all worried about it. People say it get worse. But for me it only seem to get worse when I am worried about and and when I think about it. It is manageable. I can look at a wall and see every detail on it, but I still see the snow. It get annoying when you think about it to much. Since people have had it for all there lives I don't think there is any reason to worry to much

  • @Gearsajo

nah it doesn't get worse. It will get worse if you keep thinking 'is i getting worse'. I know people who have had this for 30 or 40 years they can still see as they did when they had VS start so don't worry.

  • @GT35R ya I noticed that. I also noticed pinhole glasses help with this. Thanks im glad now. People act like this is gonna kill them. Witch really scars a person.

  • @Gearsajo

Yeah it wont kill you or make you go blind. I have come to know a lot of people with VS now and all of them agree that VS is not as bad as we make it

  • I only see visual snow when its pitch black, would this be minor visual snow? I heard that everybody atleast has some visual snow its just that they dont notice it...

  • @MrFaulconbridge

yup. the vs in total pitch black is common. many people have it. VS is when you see it in normaly light areas.
