Nowadays when you board a plane, you get served dog food by ugly kapos dressed as stewardesses. No wonder there is a nostalgia for a time when you could get a decent Martini, you could smoke and got served by the cutest women.I hope the show is successful so we can see a bit of that coming back.

@rockythehero America is often used as a synonym of equality, freedom and human rights. That time period was nothing close to what I just described. This show might be good for the portrayal of a horrendous time period when women weren't people but objects, just as Mad Men is. Glad feminism changed that.

@SuperPfar Well that's better, I do like the upgrade to sarcasm; unfortunately, I think you might of misunderstood my first comment where I called out someone who said that the era of the show was, to put it slightly differently, the best to live in. I never frowned upon the writers, directors (etc.) for doing the show. As I first said, this type of show is great for historical purposes but saying it was a great era is, in itself, wrong.
