As an Englishman it never fails to amaze me that an American can have such a varied taste in music. By that I mean all the real English classics. As an aside, Bolan never played this with a capo.
@gorby9POD Check out the Born to Boogie version -- capo. It's the easiest way to play this second guitar part and God knows Marc would have had to play it the easiest way, with his guitar skills.
@gorby9POD As an American let me suggest - never say never. All the videos of Marc Bolan/TRex playing Telegram Sam on YouTube clearly show a capo on his guitar (the ones where he's actually playing and not lip syncing). Cheers mate.
@gorby9POD Wrong!!! I saw T.Rex live many a time and everytime I've seen him play Telegram Sam he used a capo, the only time I've ever seen him play it without one is in TV stuff like Top of the Pops etc....which he was most probably miming to anyway
Excellent ..... you've got that bang on the money mate!..... (how much to teach me?....lol).

Someone should remind Sir Gorby that it was American dollars that made all of the English classics...

Excellent rendition. Is that guitar new? In older videos you use an orange sunburst Les Paul.

One of my favorite T. Rex songs. They blew the roof off with this one when I saw them at Carnegie Hall in NYC in 1972. Well done.
