@thedropoutkid its more of a racing bike if you want a bike for trails the best 2 stroke is kdx200 in my opinion but i have a 125sx and i like it cause its fast and jumpy. but im selling it to get a 06 kx250f i like 4 strokes in the woods more. but the only thing is with the 125 you have to keep it up in the power band or it will smoke really bad. well at least myn does cause its all set up for racing. and if you dont know how to ride a 2 stroke and how to keep it revd i wouldnt recommend it.

nearly every bike clicks into gear, its the chain that clicks mainly depending on what sort of tention it has behind it.

@dundas14 What? No, its not the chain. We have 2 KTMs, same chain tension, one does it one doesnt. When you put it into gear there should be a CLICK, but if its a loud THUNK sound that gets louder the higher you rev the bike before you go into gear then its the clutch. OR if the bike wont start in gear... It means the clutch is dragging which means that it is not disengaging all the way. KTMs clutch baskets groove over time and that causes this problem.. a Hinson clutch basket fixes it.

I just bought a used 2003 KTM SX 125 for 2,500 and its in great condition. My friends say it bogs alot as well as this bike does. Does anyone know what it is or how I can fix that ??. THX

booding is usually caused by a dirty air filter, this lets dirt through the filter and into the carby. the bog is caused by tiny bits of sand or dirt in the bowl of the carburater. its when the dirt gets sucked up into the jets and thats why the revs drop so drastically. what you can do is check the bowl. (which is on the bottom of the carby) and it just screws off. then get any dirt out. if that doesnt help check your mixtures aswell bro.

Yeh you can definetely fit the bike. Ktm's rear shock is also adjustable ride height so you can drop it 2 inches if you have trouble getting on. IM 5'11 160pounds and i felt the bike was on the small side

I got a buddy who is 5'4 and i let him sit on it and he couldnt touch the ground. Once you get on im sure you can handle the bike, but at a standstill youd have to throw one leg over and stand on one leg. But im sure you can handle it if you got a lil bit of muscle and weigh at least 130

Considering parts the KTM is much better has brembo disk brakes hydraulic clutch etc, but engine yamaha is better in mid range pull while the KTM is better in the top end which i dont like it seems like your whining out to be getting power ffrom the ktm while the yamaha has a meat power house in the mid range. Only bad things about yamahas is the gearboxes go and they have those disgusting looking shrouds and steel frames that look like theyre from the 1990's

Yeh they say that the chain should be .6 inches from the bottom of the swingarm when when its pushed up behind the bottom chain slider it shoulde be around .4 and you ownt havee that problem

Did you try playing with the air screw? And if you modded the pipe or silencer then you should have the jetting checked out cause with aftermarket pipes you might have to change the jetting or its a possibility your mixture isnt getting along with your bike i use 50:1

In the manual it says run 40:1-60:1 so i just went in the middle and it works great and for 5 gallons of gas it takes exactly one bottle of belray oil so you dont have to measure anything
