To be honest, I hated this song when it came out. Can't understand why, because I will never stop playing it, EVER! Gets you in the mood to put on Cory Daye's beautiful voice with Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band. Love when it rises to a crescendo at about 4:52 then drops. Not to mention this chick's octaves. This classic stands alone.
I only been to the Catacombs twice and yes this song was played the times i was there. I danced like a fool to this song. I couldn't believe they were playing this song. I was eleven when this came out. I love it.

Simply Aaaaaaaaaaaaaawesome!!! Fond Memories Of CLUBBING Back In The Day At: Docks, The New Experience, The Zanzibar, The Cheetah Club And The PARADISE GARAGE...Just Wow!!!
How lucky I was to grow up in Chicago. And how much more luckier I was to come of age when house music exploded on the scene. If you know like I know, house music was some powerful stuff! I saw thugs convert to "house heads" because of songs like this. Fall of 84 at the box.... Ronnie would have you in tears of joy from the way he would mix this song. Talk about dancing all night?! Wow! Those were the days!
wish i could give this song a million thumbs up..i remember when i first heard this song in a mix here in chicago I went NUTS!!!!...love this song...its an honor to play this song when i get the chance
Full props to David Todd for this one (with a nod to Donald Stone) he used to wear a hole in the floor of the Catacombs playin' this. From 3:45 on, OMFG I can still see that dance floor quivering, shaking, leaping NOBODY could sit still while this was on. If weren't for that green pyramid, I'da never been able to keep up either...! :)
Massive Respect to The Original Members of Made in U.S.A...
This is 4 all the Second Hand folks... #RIPRonHardy #MuzicBox... #3:45am ... This was 1 of the very Best of the Deep House Songs.. I have seen Folks Cry 2 this Song.. Ron Hardy would Remix this song live.. Truly Great Music... This represents some of the Very Best in Music.. 100
Chicago House music, I hear this cut playing in my ear, in somebody's basement party, the sweat , the funk in the air, dancing so close to fine big legged and thick women, hip slappin, touch and feelin dance, up and down grinding for hours. Just remembering that is all. I wanna go back to that year of 1986. This was classic cut in Chicago, all the major and local DJ's in Chicago had to have this cut. Ooo Wee, I wanna go back.
Hi Eddie Cohen (and others). I loved the disco of that era. The Crown Heights Affair song "Movin" was one of the first 45's I ever bought. LOL I was maybe 17yrs old at the time but had already discovered the discos. I can hear the back beat of Dr. Buzzards (and other hits from that period) at 5:00 and at the very end of this song 7:00, I think I hear the bass line from Chic's first hit "Everybody Dance." Ahh...memory lane... how appropriate.
Hey What's happening Eddie Cohen, my name is Greg,I used to play with Janice & Herb in a group called Spider Web at one point in New York,Jamaica,Queens
Had another version of this in my faves, and it disappeared! THXXXXX for posting. I love this song, so joyous, what music is really about: transporting us to a higher state!
Hearing this song brings me such joy and happiness as I remember dancing to this tune so many years ago. This was and is one of my favorite disco tunes. Thanks!
I'm Eddie Cohen, one of the original members of Made in U.S.A. beginning back when we were first called 'Nexus.'
I recorded the demos on tenor sax for this but got bumped before a change was made in the band in 1977, These were talented musicians whom I shall never forget. I was proud to perform with them. Our sister group Crown Heights Affair was also an innovator in disco sounds at the time.

@goldspout Thanks Eddie! I DJ in NYC and we are still keeping those Melodies alive to this day. Especially in Newark!! Crown Heights Affair was major too!!!
WOW! Club LaRay, I haven't heard that name in a while! Amazing Chicago club. One of the early spots that PUMPED house music and disco. God I wish I could have some of those days back!!!
OMG! I have never heard the full version of this song, but this is definitely one of my all time club favorites! I used to rip the floor apart on this one!!!!! Club La Ray Chicago Belmont and Halsted!
this song personifies the rhythm & energy of the now defunct DC nightclub "The Clubhouse. it starts beautiful, even somewhat traquil, only to end in hard driving bass & keyboard solo i dare your feet not to move to. this song along with smoke, sweat, & people screaming to be taken over the top was a signiture classics for several generations of clubheadz.. Clubhouse,owned/operated 15 year by blk gay men brought deep soulful underground sound to 1000 & 1000's of blk gay & straight party seekers.
