I've discovered PaulMcCartney's channel a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was not him personally. But it was him. I think it's just great. Now we can reach our stars!
Tomi, thanks for being here and congrats on being on the front page man! Saw you there this weekend. And yes, reaching our influences and/or stars is what I adore about the internet. Rock on!
Right on John. I'm behind you 100% on this one. What a great opportunity for any rock star to put their side of the story for once, instead of having their words manipulated & distorted. Let's hope more take the plunge. Off now to find Macca's channel :)
Well said Andy, as always you speak so well. Instead of having their words manipulated and distorted, they speak for themselves. They can really use it for that and I hold out hopes that they do :) Endless possibilities. Missed you around Andy and thank you.
Laughing out loud! You never fail to make me laugh, but dude ... you got the hair. Maybe we can do an exchange. I tried borrowing Eva's hair but that didn't work out too well ;)
I heard he was in a little band a long time ago. I might still have some of those records .. I forget the name of the band, oh yes, The Beatles ;) Or did I smash those back when I was smashing?
Yeah! He certainly had his own band, Another Pretty Face, a few years after David Bowie/Ziggy Stardust was just coming into recognition. TL Roth is younger than Bowie so he began after. The record I have on the wall in this video is from him. He was in New York at a period in time I wish I would have been old enough to live. Good to see you man!
Great vlog John- I knew about Paul Mc's channel a couple weeks back and immediately thought about your first vid - this is a great follow up and I'm sure Terry will be honored to have been mentioned right along side Sir Paul.
It is strange that more artists don't have Vblogs. If one of my faves did it I would subscribe immediately. Imagine Dave Lee Roth's VBlog it would be a massive production and extremely entertaining! While artists don't use Youtube, alot do use MySpace. Ian Gillan for instance Blogs on MySpace alot. Artists and record companies are missing out by not using YouTube more.
It truly is strange. And missing out, that's the key word Gus and you said it so well. This is getting huge. McCartney has been on MySpace since forever, and as you say so many others as well. It serves it's purpose, but I believe VBlogs here on YT can be taken to such higher heights for artist, label promotion and entertainment. I somehow didn't like Paris Hilton's approach at all ;) Well said man.
Thanks my friend for your continuing support. Unfortunately I'm not insightful at all, it was a large coincidence and they aren't true vlogs like Tommy Chong's, but it's a start! Hope they allow themselves to be more in touch.
Thank you! And oh yeah. I love larger than life figures when they show they can be humble. This, I think, is a step in the right direction for my own personal entertainment :)
You didn't miss that correct reference about "The walrus was Paul" even when Lennon had previously sang "I am the walrus" ;) Damn you're good! And regarding validity, that's better than I could have worded it. But you always word things better lol.
I do agree with you John, but I don't really think it's fair to call Paul McCartney a 'true' VLogger if that makes sense, because as far as I know he only joined because he'd be part of the YouTube Partners scheme? =S
Exactly! And you are right, they aren't real vlogs yet but the potential is there to do something different than any of them has ever done before. I like to think of it as a step in the right direction in this new world. I just hope they don't go down the Paris Hilton road ;)
Haha! Oh God if Paris Hilton started making Vlogs... it doesn't bare thinking about!
I must admit, it is a truly inspirational thought that one day you or I could make a video (most likely you, since I still do not have the guts, ideas or camera to) - and Paul McCartney or someone of equal popularity would make a video reply to it. =)
OMG OMG OMG! I am still going to marry him when I grow up!!! I have been in love with him since I was in 5th grade!!!!!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!
Great quote (of yourself!) at the end there! I am actually very surprised that McCartney now has a vlogging account-I may check it out to see what exactly he's using it for! The urge to slap him might be too much though!
I seem to have a built in radar that leads me to your videos before anyone else sees them ;) lol! Oh, and I checked out Mcks channel-I'd already seen his music video in your favourites. The other vids were actually watchable, didn't get the urge to slap him once-I must be getting soft in my old age! :)
Trust me, since I was a kid I can only say Sir Paul is quite a lovable bloke! The only other massively great and wonderful thing out of Liverpool on YouTube so far has been you. Relish in that, cause it's so very true.
This is still a mighty fine video John.
Thanks for posting it as a response. Good to know you're still out there.
Rock on brother :)

YouTube is still in it's infancy and I predict many more "rock stars" will jump on board. Great video as usual.

We'll really look back at this time as revolutionary. We've only just scratched the surface of the possibilities that can be done. Thank you Paul :)

I believe that too.

Indeed, yes, it seems so. And that really pleases me. YT is getting bigger than I thought when I first joined. It's great we are all on board.
johnreagannumber1 4 years ago
I suppose if you look at it as a whole community thing, and it stays this way, then its growth will be a great thing! =)
Lets just hope they don't start seperating the celebrities from the public! ;-)!
