The problem to me is that she will not serve a life sentence. She'll probably be a well behaved inmate and get out early for good behavior, because she's not a typical criminal. She has a sick obsession and even though it may be easier on the family, she should have to pay for the torture she also put this precious child through because of the danger she is to society.
