@IbzSolja1 yea traxxas trucks are nice, especialy on the track. but they dont take the abuse i put apon them, and because of that, i bash with a savage and rip with a revo

Joe Basher'll go for the std one, cause' it "goes, like, fast and stuff" and can jump. The rest of us'll go for the PLE, as it's got the right adds, extended chassie & wheelbase AND more eyecandy.
Please, do stop thinking about it, take it to the test. Get some real numbers and look for yourself before you mod your std 2.5 to 3.3 spec and think it can outperform the PLE on the track with 23mm adapters and a lesser performing exhaust than the std PLE dyno-tuned, dual chamber resonator...
You'd lack other vital things like; closer gearing, lowered stance, center-diff & swaybars for the cornering, extended chassie for stability, and so fort and so on...

no you cant call a 2.5r the same thing....but my 2.5 chassie with a 3.3 motor has better turning then the revo platinum and ill put money on that ....yea with out the lousy sway bar that doesnt do much and the starter box thats 300 extra and the remote thats not included...truly i spent abot 400 for my truck and 300 on all options and hop ups and ill race my truck vs a platinum anyday....because i know its faster and all my adjustment work for me.....hightgearsettingbreakscambercaster&toe..lol
How do you come to the conclusion that the old body style revo is better handling than the updated platinum edition 3.3. They purpose built this one as a track monster truck, although they did it poorly in my opinion. With the hop ups on your 2.5r maybe but theres more to the platinum edition than what your saying. Believe me I'm not trying to stick up for traxxas, besides highly modified Revos I just don't like traxxas because they are extremely unreliable and they come with crap radios.
The PLE was designed for racers, people that have vastly superior radio-gear to install, restrictions stating that reverse is bad, close ratio for track-acceleration, ingenious swaybars & a proper center-diff to help cornering speeds + the added bonus of an extended chassie. Extended chassie means added high-speed stability and turning precision, amongst other things. 300 on hop-ups...lol? And besides: my starterbox is ingenious, love it to bits.

i have a 2.5 and dropped in the 3.3 racing motor
made it wider by putting on the 23mm adapters
a trinity exhaust and some pro-line dish tires and i think its better then one of these
and im not even done modifying it lol
but its a nice truck good luck with it!
