Those of us who truly cared for The Tonight Show's legacy are thankful that Conan won't be able to obscure the truly great achievements of those who preceded him and who were far more talented than Conan could ever hope to be.

Conan's just getting knocked off the airwaves completely was simply icing on the cake. He probably regrets leaving his late night spot where he had the ratings and a secure job.

Ohwello--It was all a major fiasco on the part of NBC. Both Jay and Conan were pulling in great ratings where they were, and there was no reason for NBC to commit to pushing Jay out the door a few years ago.

Conan would still be doing late night if NBC hadn't mismanaged the great properties that had. I personally don't care for Conan's style, but he'll find work with no problem.
