  • Good video. Simple and clean

  • Pilots are usually faster than that if the plane has to be evacuated, about 800 + crew + the pilots should evacuate an A380 in just 90 seconds

  • That. Was. A. Simulator. Cockpit. BTW, could you build me one of those in my room? =D

  • what is the headset type used in the film

  • evakuwate lol

  • they need to go FASTER

  • maschters2 posssh eject gay pilots.

  • Very interesting vid ! Thank´s for posting it !

  • What about - "Keep right side, use right doors"?

  • 1:54 until the evacuation starts is really a long time but i think they will be much faster in a real situation when they knew the procedures and dont need to point at all the buttons for the camera

  • @OctiSchmokti you're really spot on there octi. since this is a training video, all the steps have to be methodically presented for trainees. Unfortunately, i can see a lot of people with inflated sense wisdom on their flying skills giving their comments around here.

  • I'm sure one of two delivered a Tikka Massala to me the other night.

  • 90 seconds to evacuate right with doing the checklist first would it not take longer to get the people out . the people were still in the plane waiting for the checklist to be done before you let them off . would it not be better to give the evacuation order first then as they are getting be doing the checklist

  • @mattlovesbradford Yes, because if the engine blows up while escaping from the wing side escape hatch. Nothing bad would happen.

  • do they still do the checklist if they have crashed into a mountain and the whole plane is on fire

  • if this would be an real situation they would be fcking dead

  • Real Procedure: WERE GOING TO FUCKING DIE!

  • Love this vid's way better than my initial CRM training!

  • can you override the agent discharge and force it to do so?

  • @chipjumper hi can you elaborate, what do you want to override and what do you want to force it to do?

  • @f4212 I see how you armed/pushed all three fire agent push buttons but it only discharged on ENG1 an not for ENG2 or the APU. Can you force it to discharge agent on the ENG2 if there is a sensor failure?

  • @chipjumper yes you can. the reason why only ENG 1 was discharged is because it was only ENG1 with the fire warning. But I understand you have a point regarding the other two. It would really have been a bad day if you have to discharged all lol.

  • at :33 what does he say? I've rewound and listened to it several times, but I can't figure out what he's saying.

  • @chrisz71 Attention, crew at stations.

  • i would get freaked out by a pilot sounding like a robot

  • by the time they finish the plane already exploded :) LOL

  • the evac alarm sounds so weird, like when you get disconnected on the phone :P

  • evakooate!!! evakooate!!!

  • 2:15 - "normal operations, normal operations" ?

What does this mean - end of emergency paper check list or what ?

  • @pogodapogoda it means that there's no need to evacuate and that flight attendants can resume NORMAL procedures after landing

  • very interesting , really amazing . thanks

    Abdullah - SABIC KSA

  • @777haneen Nice meeting you ya akhie. Hope to see you again insyaallah.

  • @f4212 What the hell is insyaallah?

  • way to stay on the centerline...NOT

  • @sky30394 I really don't think staying on the centreline would be a problem in an emergency.

  • God just let the pressure off then open all available doors god damn I'm not foin the checklist ... Maybe it's a good idea to turn of engines and jet fuel first

  • Who is going to wait for the checklist when the plane is burning? By the time they say evacuate, I would have already been sooo outa there.

  • evcooate!!!

  • @jwpierce07 its evacuate dumass

  • @GTAfan234 thats not what he said at all you idiot... congratulations, you found an online dictionary fuck face

  • EVACOOATE, EVACOOATE

  • By the time they finished that lot with a fire eating away at the plane I'm sure evreyone is going to sit still and be good boys and girls!!!

  • wow. Didn't know that the Airbus' were so smart ..

  • The APU and engine fire handles shut off fuel to the engines and APU. It is a very quick and efficient way to shut down everything very quickly so they dont endanger passengers during the evacuation.

  • Why did they push all the engine and APU fire bottle, and not only the number 1 engine?

  • @lucamainenti yes they pushed it but did not engage the bottles. they just put them on standby. just in case the fire were to spreed they would already have the bottles ready to deploy.

  • Engine Fire push button doesn't nothing to the fire agents. It just shut off any fuel supply, and close any air bleed valve (such that smoke won't go into cabin).

If the pilot want to release the fire agent, they will push "Agent 1 button" and then "Agent 2" if necessary.

  • love this good job :D

  • but in real life they would not be goin that slow!

  • evakuwait! evakuwait!

  • what does the evac command do?

    floor emerg lighs?

  • i think it just rings a bell and ppl know they have to get out.

the emergency lights turn on automatically.

im not sure but i think so

  • Former Airbus Flight Attendant: The bell just notifies the cabin crew to evacuate. The airline I worked at had some situations where there would be no intercom used to initiate evac. The crew were trained to evec the cabin if they heard the bell.

  • Oh! Thank you alot!

  • You can hear the Evac-Sound, its also audible in the Cabin. The Crew know this Sound and they start the evacuation. Also they do an Call into the Cabin (Evacuate,Evacuate). It varying between the airlines.

  • yeah if theres someing wrong with the plane and I was there with a wing on fire the pilot can stay behind and go through the check list while I go get off and live

  • I hope that if the plane was on fire or something like that they would do this faster!

  • me 2

  • Ha Ha. I also thought they were very calm and slow, but after talking to a friend in my flying club who has recently completed A320 simulator training, they first practice it slowly then speed up. Also they have to wait for some things like engines to stop, fire to go out or reduce after releasing extinguisher agent. I would hate the real thing. I hope I never have to do it in a Cessna 172.

  • What was the first command given on the PA? Couldn't understand it.

  • first command was "attention crew at stations attention crew at stations"

  • They better not go this slow in an actual emergency

hold on a second i gotta check the manuals..let me make sure we get everything lol

  • Yes, exactly - let me make sure we get everything. And yes, definitely from a printed checklist. There are "memory items" but you use a checklist for a reason.

Would they go this slow in a real emergency? Maybe not, but to err on the side of diligence and second-guessing, and reliance on the checklist all makes for a very safe pilot. Believe me, if the flight is in trouble, you don't want some idiot up the front improvising. Fly by the numbers!

  • I remember my instructor telling me when I questioned a part of the emergency list "you don't have to agree with the procedure, you just have to do it.... smarter people than you or I wrote the emergency, Many lists have been changed after people died.

  • they use a checklist for everything. it minimizes human complacency.

  • very good vid, i didn't know there was a whole evacuation procedure!

  • Pertty cool

  • First of all this is a training video. So everything is done in a relatively slow manner to demonstrate the procedure to the trainee. Secondly any item..if missed on this checklist might endanger the passenger during the actual evacuation hence the need for the crew to complete the drill. Thank you for your interest on the subject.

  • @f4212 hi there, great vid.. our company requires us to state which side of the plane to evacuate by. Was wondering do you guys leave this decision up to the cabin crew?

  • @SweepSooSooty hi sweepie, in our company the side to evacuate is left to the assessment of our cabin crew in real time.

  • @f4212 Very neat video, thanks for uploading this :)

  • @jetfighter2011 thank you. people like you really make my day. :)

  • @f4212 No problem! :) Your videos are superb, any chance of making new ones or do you not work at Etihad anymore?

  • So there seriously going to go through all of that if the airplane is on fire and could explode at any second?

  • so u would rather run down the plane with the engine running and get either sucked in the engine or blown off?

  • Passengers are directed not to use overwing exits if the engines havent been shut off yet.

  • like passengers really pay attention at all, especially during an emergency.

  • thats right but they have to do their jobs anyways.

  • Yes, they are seriously going to go through all of that if the "airplane" is on fire. Shutting down engines, ensuring fire extinguishing agents have discharged, cabin depressurised etc is essential to getting the passengers off. This is what pilots are paid to do. What would YOU do? Run around shrieking in panic?

  • If its on fire just tell everyone to get off, unless you got to open the raft .

  • Please, never fly again.

  • might be useful to 1.) stop the rest of the aeroplane exploding into your face after you've evacuated, 2.) determine which side of the aeroplane it's best to evacuate from, given one of the engines is on fire.
