I love how people around me in America call him a dictator yet almost everyone who didn't like him fled in 59. Just because someone isn't a capitalist doesn't mean there a fascist. In fact it means the opposite.
Los cubanos se creian que FIDEL iba a repartir el APPLE PIE de BATISTA,con la masa. Mientras que FIDEL se creia que los RUSOS le iban a brindar CAVIAR.
For those of you that can't see why Castro was such a hero & is still admired, look at the big picture, connect the dots & figure it out. 1959 was the year of the big liberation & change for the Cuban people, Castro led Cuba in a new direction, People thought Castro was Jesus Christ ! ! Maybe Jesus was a Communist.
...And what happen to Jesus Cristo, ask the vatican. Liberation were in May 20th 1898 When the real liders liberate Cuba. Castro's dictatorship were another face of the coin as Batista, and, what we are today another clown of the capitalism, hungry for a little bit of dollars. What kind of lider throw the country over the window like this. I dont want it. I want 1000 Bush than one Castro. Ito Ibban Eshu
The Revolution was needed & was all for the better, Castro liberated & saved Cuba from Batista's evil regime & the ruthless US government. Castro took Cuba away from the Americans & gave it back to the Cubans. No nation wants to be enslaved by another nation. The evil Batista ran Cuba for only 6 years & got overthrown by Castro. Castro has led Cuba for 50 years, if Castro was so "horrible", he would've been overthrown by a new revolution decades ago. Thought provoking ? Long live the revolution
not thought provoking at all...if you had ever lived in Cuba.. you have a lot to learn ...im cuban... educated my Fidel and live din the island for 30 years... You my friend are clueless as to what the real situation is in Cuba. and NO, im not pro Bush or pro Miami... hate them both as well. The Revolution in Cuba is as rotten as the "cuban exile" is in Miami... both the same, both complement perfectly.
Fidel Catro Ruz Will Forever Live in the Hearts and Minds of Many People Across the Globe. Long After He Truly Dies! He is True Heroe! Fidel Forever In Our Hearts!
The fact that Castro has remained in power for 50 years is proof positive that, at some basic level, the Cuban people are happy with him. If they were not, they would have overthrown him by now. He has provided them with basic housing, basic health care, basic food, and basic education. It has been at a tremendous cost in personal freedom and liberty (much higher than I would be willing to pay), for many, it was probably an improvement over what occurred during Batista's time.
i think we are better now than before, i mean between sudamerica and U.S people. By the way sorry for the people we send you, like this batista dumbshits, but you know you have done things to as to.
Cuba under Castro made the same mistake Haiti did; they both set a bad example that the Americans can't tolerate.
More than that. American based multinationals owned big properties in Cuba. Much of Havana's streetcar system is left over from Hershey's (chocolates) plantation railway.
Even before the Monroe Doctrine, Americans have felt that all of North and South America belongs to them. There is no way they want a group of brown people governing themselves in a way that does not favour Americans first.
The anti-Castro Cubans living in Miami are like the White Russians after the Tsar was shot. These are descendants of people who benefited from corruption in the Batista regime.
im cuban and i could tell that a lived there for many fears that fidel is one of the things in cuba that should never had happen...he had destroid thousands of families and also killed many people..its a place that you could just go into jail for saying that you aren't agree with

Casto killed many thousands of his own people, and yet he was permitted by the Canadian government to walk into Canada to attend Trudeau's funneral. He should have been arrested for killing so many political prisoners, but Canada did not have the balls to do that.
