  • can u do this tutorial

  • This is a story i heard and thought was absolutely beautiful!

this person came up to a hijabi lady and asked why do you wear the hijab.

the lady took out two jolly ranchers, and one was wrapped, and the other wasn't, she dropped both of them on the floor and asked the person which one would you pick up, and the person said the wrapped one.

the lady said, thats how we like to treat our women in islam... <3

i have recently just started hijab, and I love your videos, their very helpful, jsk! <3

  • I am going to start wearing Hijab this Janruary....and I have been watching your videos for a while now...I am about 15, and I want a hijab that's kinda loose, voluminous, with a few folds...do you have a style like that? I love the OOTD going casual hijah style..do you have some like that?

  • @theglazer13 your the first one saying that about Muslims thanks you rock

  • so cute

  • Are you bengali?

  • I dn't like women to cover themselves up,especially Muslim women because they are the most beautiful women in the world! All Muslim women should not worry about silly comments from meaningless people,I am not Muslim but I respect all cultures and religion.Muslim women are true gems.I urge all Muslim men to respect their wives and women abuse must stop.

i wanted u to do a hijab tutorial because u havent done one in along while

    thanku

  • @SweetestDreams411 That's a wonderful attitude to have towards ignorant people and I hope that you tackle those sorts of comments with ease i'A

  • I love the way you say "Mom" x3 I'm American, but I've grown up around a lot of English friends (heavily populated area for people to come to from England~ xD)

And I have the habit of saying "mum", and pronouncing the "a's" as "ah" instead of "ack" like most Americans~ xD Although a lot of people think it's cute, I try to make the "ack" sound in videos, so I don't sound odd~ XD

  • I am a newbie but in all truth i wore my hijab for a week. I Its not because im not a good Muslim i just get so many problems with people in the U.S, but i think im going to put up with it... but im just scared you know?

  • masha'allah what an excellent video supporting other sisters. may Allah reward you immensely in this life and the next. ameen.

@sis Ferraleon, i love paris and used to go once a month for a period of about 2 years. i had no problems whatsoever and it was in the thick of the niqab/burka ban going through.

trust in Allah, you'll be fine!

  • @dlebari ameen sis, and j'A for your du'a and for reassuring sister Ferraleon

  • you are sooo cute!!!..you maybe way older then me,but cant help but admire you:)

  • Salam, sis Amena and my other sisters~I'm going to Paris this December (yaay!), but I'm in doubt of whether it would be alright--in terms of safety etc, to wear a hijab while I'm there. There's been so many stories, and I'm just confused. Help~

  • I have a friend that wants to wear hijab but none of her family does, and doesnt know how to wear it,so do u have any advice of how to kinda guide her.

  • i miss your hijab tuts Amenakin!

  • i love how u say anywhoo!! :D i love ur videos!!!

  • Assalamu Alaikim Amena,

I am a new convert from America and this was my first week wearing the hijab in public. So far I have used two styles inspired by you. Thanks! :)....I love the scare hijab with the angular look and the knot hijab. I was so nervous at first, not knowing the reaction I would get from coworkers or people in general. After seeing your video on when/why you wear a hijab I decided I wanted to wear one also. You are so right, I really do feel this protection (hard to explain).

  • Salam Sister Amena,

Just wondering..is there any tips or anything like that to reduce your head from hurting when you wear a scarf..AND ways in which you tie your hair if you have like really long thick hair (because sometimes it could show from the back.) Even though im a non-hijabi, I find that sometimes if my hair is tied up in a pony for too long that it gives me a headache, and I feel as though my hair is getting pulled!

    Thanks =] x

  • AOA sister....o i looooove ur accent....:)

any wayz.im a newbie and 2 tell u th truth u inspired me 2 take th dare 2 wear hijab.i used 2 drape DUPATTA around my head n body.but thats not a tight head covering way.my hubby always loved hijab so i just checked 1 of ur tutorials 2 try on me.and guess wat u hav made it sooo fashonable tht any muslim grl would lov u 4 doing this.now i wear hijab more comfortabley, confidently and proudly.thanks a million!

    take care.FEAMAMALLAH.

  • lol ur ring is on ur thumb! y???

    Sabz x

  • Asalam Alaikum sister,

alhamdulilah I started covering about a month ago. I'm very happy and proud and always struggled with no one knowing I was muslim. I'm blond, green eyes and american so everyone always thought I was anything but muslim.

So I'm happy and you have always inspired me and have been very helpfull with how to wear the hijab for work style.

    Jazakallah

  • Great video. Assalamu alaikum from across the pond

  • Assalamu aleykum sis! Your videos are always useful, i always get some tips from ur each video, either they concern islam or hijab styles. thanks a lot for ur work here, it is precious for us!

  • Hahaa, 'oot' that's said all the time up here is Scotland

  • Assalâm Alleikum sister Amena, Thank you for the video ! yes, alhamdulilah, I'm a new hijabi...however, there are lots of things to cope with, but Inch'allah, with patience, everything will be okay. Your videos are really helpful..Your channel is Gorgeous, your website company is Amazing and you are SUPERBE !! Mille grazie!!!

  • Salam..I'm Elmy from Malaysia..i actually cant really understand how the hoojab looks like..i try to look at ur link in pearl daisy but still cant tell the difference.. i just want to know whether the hoojab is made by two pieces of shawls or it is just a piece of it..can u show me the exact look of the hoojaab n how it has been sewn..

    Regards,

    Elmy

  • I was so scared you were going to poke yourself lol

  • @ValleyGurlFrmHell aha, I like to keep you on your toes! ;o)

  • Does anyone know how to wear an under scarf without getting a killer headache? Thanks.

  • @kashprincess17 Aw I had that part in this video but edited it out as I thought it was too straight forward. You can either wear it AROUND your ear (literally bend the underscarf around the ear) or wear it extremely loose, under the earlobe. Hope that makes sense. I wear it going around my ears if I know I'll be wearing it continuously for a long period of time

  • @kashprincess17 OMG I had that problem too when I started wearing hijab two years ago. Since I like to wear my underscarf quite low (to cover a part of my eyebrows) it's hard for me to wear the underscarf around my ears. Wearing it tight on top of my ears did not only cause headaches but also killed my ears (seriously, I got to the point where I had huge wounds all over my ears). I now just wear it across my ears and try not to tie it too tight .. Still searching for a good solution ..

  • @BeniZnasniaa sis i also had the problem with the underscarf, giving me headaches and hurting my ears as i had it low covering my forehead.. have a try using a scarf as a bandana so u be wearing 2 scarfs.. thats what i do.. i dont have that problem anymore...:)

  • @kashprincess17

Selem 3laikom! You need to get a fairly loose cotton under scarf, it doesn't put pressure on your skull.. Wselem

  • @kashprincess17 i think yours is too tight :s

  • @kashprincess17 hey Salaam, i had the same problem wearing those tie-able bonnets, my head and ears would start killllinng. so what i switched to instead were those loose tube undercaps and what i do i slide it on and then juss pin it using a safety pin (leaving it a bit loose styll) hope that helped :)

  • @kashprincess17 i used to get headaches sometimes when wearing the tight caps so i tried using the one that you can tie at the back like a bonnet and loosen it up. Hope that helps!

  • oh my God! Loved the mOm! I always pronounce mum differently too... as for the ooot ... that's east coast canadian, not us prarie canucks!

  • @delusionalmom lol, ah I see, learn something new every day - thanks!

  • @delusionalmom lol Ya, I agree. There's some pretty weird stuff us maritimers say that just makes the rest of Canada go "what?". Especially the Newfoundland accent.

  • LOL great vid, but we Canadians say out the same way as Americanss, made my dayy =)

  • assalam alaykum sister Amena, im a new hijabi this is day 7 yey and im inlove with hijab!! i love your videos, you have helped me so much in this transition!!JazakAllahu khair

  • @N3wHijAbi Wa 'alaikum as-salaam... congratulations on wearing it! Hope you find many blessings in it i'A

  • Very cute cardigan !! Where did you get it?

  • @joejonasroxnx Thanks! It's from H&M

  • Salaam alaikum, I found the pin part very helpful! (I always kept poking myself). Thank you Amenakin!

  • @verse1923 wa 'alaikum as-salaam, aw I hope this helps to stop the poking i'A!

  • aha Canadians say "out" the way Americans do. LOL

  • @maramie94 lol I am so sure some of the Canadians have that twang!

  • congrats amena! and welcome new hijabis. subhanAllah :D

  • Welcome new Hijabis!! Thanks Amenakin for another great vid :D xxx
