If you suddenly show up at a McDonalds (or any restaurant), unannounced, and expect them to just let you walk around in the kitchen for a "tour" you are an idiot. Most of the "behind the scenes" tours I have arranged for Scouts and other organizations simply took a phone call and setting a date and time. You just show up and demand a tour then don't be surprised if you are refused and post like it is some conspiracy.
