People would have more respect for you though, if your tag didn't include the word 'bimbo' including me, lol. But your Applecrisp looks delicious. Have you had the Applecrisp dessert at California Pizza Kitchen? If not, you should try it. I swear it's one of the best desserts I've ever had. :D You'd love it!!!
You did well! And let me make a suggestion.... make a Hollandaise sauce and try it on your blackened fish! Two egg yolks... 1/2 stick butter or margarine and about an 8th of a cup of lemon juice.... stir over very low heat until thickening occurs. Those who don't have a taste for Hollandaise may want to go easy on the lemon at first. It is supposed to be tart, but too much tart can turn you off this awesome sauce before you develop a taste for it! It isn't just for Eggs Benedict!
@Lakeside54321 I know, I've made this before and it's delicious, the hollandaise. ;) LOVE love it, and it's amazing on Benedict too. Eggs Benedict is always one of the best specialty breakfast I've ever had. I need to be honest, this actually doesn't look very tasty, but I'll put my faith in you that it is. I love Mahi Mahi though and there are some excellent recipes here! ;)
@Blissss09 hehe! I'm a single guy that loves to cook... I rarely use a recipe! I'm forever trying new things and sometimes I come up with something that is just HEAVENLY to me, but others will turn up their noses at, so all you can really take my word for is that I liked it very much... whether YOU do... may be a different story! :-) Happy Cooking!
@Lakeside54321 Oh odd, the last part of my comment wasn't directed towards you, don't know why I included it, just meant to tell you I love the Hollandaise part, it's amazing and I made it pretty similar to your recipe 3 years ago. ;)
You're supposed to use melted butter. Margarine has a very high water content. You're also supposed to apply the butter before the spice mixture. Finally, tilapia has no taste to speak of.
im surprised that you use salt becasue teh blacking sesoning already has salt in it and once itds all done,its got a nice salty taste...really no need for extra salt..but to each his/her own... good job!

@hellishheavin101
There is nothing wrong with the way she seasoned it. Heavy season tastes good.

Real blackened redfish tastes better than steak.

I would love to see you use organic coconut oil instead of the "smart balance" - it's better for your health :)

That looks for good. I'm excited to try to. Now didn't you say you use Black Magic for seasoning? Just want to make sure.
