  • I do wish people would take the time to spell things correctly when posting video titles that can potentially go viral, and usually get thousands of views even if they don't. Great post, Thank you for posting it, in any case.

  • lol what a bullcrap

  • Why is big government bad

  • @22bronwyn22 because it strangles the small businesses with over regulation and it spends so much which is why they raise taxes, but there are about a million other reasons.

  • It transformed America and made it great

  • Got them going so fast, you cant even read them i smell bs

  • You know, it's really hard to take conservatives seriously at all when this kind of moron is the guy representing them.

  • @ColonelPandabear Sorry, this clown doesn't represent me

    RON PAUL 2012

  • Obama is not FDR. The New Deal created Jobs such as the Hoover Dam, the Golden Gate Bridge, homes and got America out of its Depression. Quit distorted the facts what Franklin Roosevelt succeed in doing. Obama succeed in destroying our Country by working for Wall Street.

  • Nothing like multiple copies of the same pages.

  • This New Deal big government saved America from Civil War and Bankrupt !

  • Question: To all canidates, what make you so sure you can turn around the govt. ?Ret. CW4 H.Barrington

    cypress cal

  • Are you kidding me. Look at what happened to the mortgage and banking infrastructure without the right levels of regulation. The country was raped and almost thrown into chaos without necessary oversight.

  • There is more regulation in America today than in the 1930's because American and the world have gotten a lot more complex since that time. We live in the age of the micro chip, which means free flow of information any where in the world to any one, that was a crazy dream during FDR's time. The population has grown, new problems have emerged, so you need more common senes regulation but you also need to limit beuracracy.

  • @acdc30450 yeah, but in a lot of cases, regulation is just bad. like in the healthcare industry. Before the corporatist american medical association got special priveliges from the government, one days salary could pay for a year of healthcare. Then, after a ton of regulation and ruined competition in healthcare, prices are some of the highest. So the logical step to bring down the price of healthcare, and also hopefully increase quallity, is to deregulate. that's just my conclusion.

  • @Chaaarge " One days Salary could pay for a year of health care" what universe do you live in. Unless you are on the Forbes 400 list than what you are saying is bull. Granted Corporatist America has brought prices up significantly, but with out health care regulations, many more people would go with out health care. If deregulation is the ONLY way to lower costs, than lets scrap EVERY health care law on the books, federal and state levels. Prices will drop and coverage will increase.

  • @acdc30450 Yes, in 1915 a quarter of all americans were members of fraternities that provided mutual aid to the members. in those days, a days wage could pay for an entire year of healthcare in a fraternitie. Besides, healthcare isn't a right. You don't have a right to someone elses services. In a free market, you would be able to choose your own doctor, hospital and so on, according to your own cost/benefit evaluation

  • @Chaaarge A quarter, what about the other 75 % of the population. We live in the year 2011, a lot has changed. I wonder how you ever figured out how to use a computer if your head is stuck in that era. Health Care is a right, you have the right not to die just because you can't afford treatment. A free market is like a free society, you have liberty but you also have rights and responsibilities. If there were on laws, society would come crashing down.

  • Beck is out of his fucking mind. When is going to be thrown off the air and committed to a mental hospital?

  • @ShotoJamf Never! That's kind of a guarantee when you have the #1 spot! If you paid attention you might learn something other than how to use foul language in posts.

  • Glenn Beck is a fucking idiot...... What he don't mention is how those agencies got us out the depression... and just like the recession how those agencies will help all the same..... During Alphabet soup... Their was a program to have people take pictures.. Why does the gov. need that? Well, it create jobs and help boost the economy as a traveling person have a broad affect than a stationary one.

  • @Jayzafoo Tell me you're kidding. Govt. creates jobs? Tell me where did the govt. get this money to create jobs?

  • @Jayzafoo The idiot is the one who can't express an opinion without using foul language. And if you truly believe that bull about the depression, then you need to start reading exactly how we recovered. You also need to learn how we recovered and then sunk even further, AFTER Wilson added govt jobs. 4 year recovery vs 10 years .... I'll take the 4 year route and you can suffer for 10.

  • right so there is a lot of agencies.... go on

  • @mftaylor49 They are getting paid off your tax dollars

  • @tjohn1986 yes yes, explain why they aren't worth it.

  • I posted under the name Tracker11rt 2-4 weeks ago on tens of jones message boards. I told you to NOT buy silver because Lindsey Williams works for a sister company of GCN to peddle gold. I said it could be entering a downtrend. I said to buy at 18-24 OR wait til it hits $30.44 and gains upward momentum again. it's 30.44!

I traded for 13 years. I can now say that it will probably go up higher. Buy a bit of physical silver NOW or watch it go up and potentially starve 1-2 years from now.

  • Someone should tell Glenn Beck the difference between an Agency(the ones created under the New Deal) and a government program(the ones that he is trying to pass off as Agencies)

  • What a waste of paper.

  • @soccerfreek7777 What a waste of electricity and petroleum based products like computer circuit boards... you have wasted, typing your comment.

  • @wReCktangle I use my computer to educate myself. You use yours to be a faggot.

  • @soccerfreek7777 Yeah, judging by your comment, you sound real smart...

  • @wReCktangle Well your obviously smart because you think that when I post a comment on youtube, I'm hurting the environment, but you're not.

  • @soccerfreek7777 I wasn't the one crying about the environment... I was pointing out the fact you are a hypocrite. It was you who said "what a waste of paper"... not me.

  • @wReCktangle Ok? Sorry I care about the earth?

  • The fact remains, FDR was a horrible President and more destructive to this nation than any before or after him. He set very dangerous precidents which have echoed and intensified over the years since. Suprised that he is one of Obama's personal heroes?

  • @sgtscott1 Oh yes, social security has certainly been one of the downfalls of humanity....

  • i'd be interested to hear what the lonesome rhodes cracker barrel thinks of the history behind the ilk of jay gould...

    apologists...

  • WOW 1.5 pages of large text!!!!!!!!!!! I have never seen a list that long before!!!

  • Stay focused Glen Beck apologists! Would you rather have GB and maybe perky Sarah Palin put the country back together after a historic crisis? Ok, only FDR actually did it. For anyone to even take his name in vain and to flash phony, yes false pieces of paper (I could do the same demo that more paper was used in GOP admins) is really sad and shameless. Have fun everyone with their red state Fox News world.

  • @dcblog10 you do realize FDR and Keynesian economics are partially responsible for the current economic crisis right? anyone who understands cause and effect knows that. it was over regulation that created the housing bubble, not under regulation.

fannie mae founded in 1938 in the new deal lead the way to the housing crisis. try learning some history before commenting incorrectly.

and you still think clinton lead a surplus

the .com boom lead that, its not hard, its called cause and effect.

  • GW lied about the war in Iraq that almost cost a Trillion dollars. GW was oblivious about rates being kept too low after the year 2000. GW presided over the era of sub-prime mortgages where our financial system was over- leveraged and under-regulated...yeah, just like during the Reagan years and the S&L crisis. Same thing now with sub-prime mortgages and their derivatives and the leverage that took down Lehmann Bros, Bear Stearns, Merill Lynch, etc. And the GOP was in control.

  • @dcblog10

You are full of shit. I dont know if you are stupid, uninformed, or just a plain old political hack liar, but your head is shoved so far up your ass you must think the rest of us smell that way. Go fuck yourself with your lies and distortions. Cant WAIT for your kind to get a throrough ASS WHIPPING in this election.

  • Contrast that with Reagan 'trickle down', Bush Sr 'that's voodoo economics, but i will continue it' and GW (took a Clinton SURPLUS and squandered it on tax cuts to the rich, deregulation of the financial markets, along with reckless fed interest rate decreases that created the housing bubble along with the reckless lack of regulation regarding taking sub-prime mortgages and committing fraud by packaging them together into AAA securities-- lack of regulation, anyone?

  • Red state voters who aren't millionaires-- why do you vote for the party of rich people? You are the biggest suckers in history. Google 'Obama hidden tax cut' and you will see that he is one person who actually targeted a tax decrease for the middle class and below.

  • Red state voters who aren't millionaires-- why do you vote for the party of rich people? You are the biggest suckers in history. Google 'Obama hidden tax cut' and you will see that he is one person who actually targeted a tax decrease for the middle class and below. That Glenn pretends to criticize how FDR saved this country is an outrage. And very timely, because it didn't happen in 2 years which has been noted by several sources given the 8 year GW squandering of the Clinton surplus.

  • @dcblog10 and the bush tax cuts are for everyone you idiot.

the 250k bracket would see a 4.6 percent increase

under 250k will see a 3 percent increase.

therefore do some fucking math and show some fucking logic you retard.

the bush tax cuts cut taxes 3 percent for all brackets under 250k

and that includes me, so yes i want them extended.

    your a fucking moron.

  • Glenn is an idiot/ fake Republican. Under Reagan, Bush Sr and GW the size of the federal government increased drastically. You were promised by Reagan, Bush Sr, and GW to lower your taxes, but the GW tax decreases about to expire are for the people making 250K+. Is that you? No, you idiots have been played for a fool and the GOP and Tea Party.

  • @dcblog10 and for fuck sake stop calling beck a republican. hes a fucking libertarian, i bet you dont even know what that is. and dont say they are all the same, that just makes you look stupider than you present yourself to be with your comments.

  • @EnslaveTheEmos Oh, "EnslaveTheEmos". Nice name, did your mom help you think of it? You're right, Beck isn't a republican. You don't know what a republican is, anyway. Beck is simply a money-grubbing capitalist that knows he can make a fortune off of the stupid. So basically the difference between Beck and the average person is that most people have a conscience and can't lie as well.

  • you have no room to make fun of anyones name, smallpoxrat...honestly...?

and how would i not know what a republican is? i bet you dont even know when the party began and why, and who the first republican president was.

and beck called the european crisis years before the shit happening today.

his whole 40 day challenge thing is based on not telling lies.

he speculates the future, with good accuracy. no shit he isnt right all the time, nobody is, but inaccuracy isnt dis honesty.

  • @EnslaveTheEmos SmallpoxRot. It came from the name of a book I was reading called "Rotting Face: Smallpox and the American Indian". You're the second "conservative" that has used my username as some sort of attempt at an insult. How unoriginal.

I don't know when the party began? Well a kid like you probably thinks the GOP started in 1981. If you were a true republican, you would see Beck for the sack of crap that he is.

So he can say whatever shit he wants as long as it's wrong?

  • @SmallpoxRot i brought your name up because you started a random conversation attacking my name. your logic is absolutely retarded.

you never answered when the party began, so ill assume you have no idea when or why.

beck is closer to a historical republican than what the party stands for today.

i just told you beck called the european crisis years before it began, so that would mean he was correct, whether you like it or not, he was.

and coolidge is what a real president looks like. not FDR

  • @EnslaveTheEmos Well, EnslaveTheEmos is a pretty stupid name, especially from a Drangonforce fan. Why do uneducated people insist on making others look bad by asking to have their ignorance vindicated? The Republican party was founded in the 1850's and was mostly comprised of abolitionists and former whigs. But that's misleading, as the GOP is nothing like it was back then. Many conservatives would like to re-enter the stone age.

Beck is not a classical conservative. Coolidge? ROFL c'mon kid.

  • @SmallpoxRot smallpoxrot is an equally retarded name.

    and it was 1854 officially.

if you knew anything about coolidge and the depression of the early 20's you would understand that he is one of the most unknown presidents for a reason. because his conservative policies worked wonders, cant let that out now can we.

and if you knew anything about metal you would know that hating emos is a good thing. so i dont get the DF reference, its metal to want to enslave the emos, learn something.

  • @EnslaveTheEmos No, it's hard to find original names on youtube. And most "emo" bands make better music than Dragonforce. You like Coolidge because you've been misled into thinking that "smal" government is better government. I'd imagine you've been to school, maybe even read a book or two. You know FDR is the superior president. You KNOW this.

They worked wonders? How? Could this be a result of brainwashing? You probably think real bands Alexisonfire, Underoath, and Parkway Drive are "emo".

  • @EnslaveTheEmos if FDR was so superior why did we rewrite laws saying 2 terms only for a president immediately after he left office. he created Frannie Mae, which led the way to the housing bubble. he imprisoned over 100k citizens, like his idol wilson. he was not in any way great.

coolidge has proven success to his name. small gov IS better gov, and thats been proven through history over and over again.

and no metal is emo, not death metal, not black metal, none of it. underoath is good

  • @SmallpoxRot and also i still cant get why you keep ignoring the fact that beck was right about europe years before it happened. why he was right about gold, why he was right about Berwick and healthcare, right about the monetizing of the debt, right about soros apparently with the way george reacted, and more.

and if you watch the show, he says all the time

"dont believe it because i say it, do your own homework, find it for yourself and find what you believe. never take my word for it"

  • Boards and regulations? They are not the same as agencies. FAIL!

  • Every year in the history of the United States Government has grown. Not a single year has the government stayed the same or gotten smaller. Most of the time Republicans are in charge, sometimes demopcrats. Yet every single year the Government gets bigger. One more fact, every single year Republicans run on the promise to make Government smaller and then turn around and make it bigger. What is shocking is Every year the masses forget, and have there intelligence insulted.

  • I will not get into politics but just want to set the record straight. Of the 110,000 people interned by the US government in WWII 62% were either naturalized Americans or Americans born here of Japanese ancestry. in 1988 under the Reagan Administration they were paid 1.6 billion in reparations for property taken. This was paid to the surviving former internees and their hiers. Please check your facts.

  • I hope he recycled that paper hahaha

  • FDR , a Democrat President also interned US-Japanese and US-German citizens into Camps within America in 1942. This is who our current President admires and attempts to compare himself to...... what a role model....... this is a fact, check it out on the internet.......

  • @tlsspider Not quite right...no American citizens were interred..only Japanese who had not attained citizenship...and watches were kept on Italians and Germans who were not citizens...just as the govt now keeps an eye on middle-eastern non-citizens today.

I'll admit it wasn't kosher to me. Will you admit that GWBu$h (a GOP pres) ordered torture of POWs in direct violation of the Geneva Conventions....not just non-kosher....an abomination.

  • @zenbrenzz both born and naturalized citizens were interned, both by FDR and wilson before him. read some history.

  • @EnslaveTheEmos Another Patriot, aka teabagger, aka Koch-sucker, aka tinfoil-hat Beck cultist screaming that FDR was a socialist while he cashes his Social Security check and tools around on his medicare-provided Hoveround, yelling no more govt handouts!

  • @zenbrenzz im not retired, therefore i dont receive social security checks. so that ruins your whole comment. by the time i do retire, i still wont get any, because the entire fund will be bankrupt. but this is after i spend my life paying into the system.

FDR was a socialist, that isnt a debatable matter, just look at his presidency. the new deal is at fault for todays mess as well.

its not my fault your an idiot, dont try to attack me for simply being smarter than you.

  • @EnslaveTheEmos But here's the problem: you're not smart. Somehow virtually every historian and publication has listed FDR as one of the greatest presidents, if not the best. And you know more than them? I'm sorry, but you're not that special. None of you tea partyers are. The teabaggers suffer from oxygen deprivation so they think that all it takes to kick out a president is a handgun and a little perserverance. It's painful to think that someone can spend their life in a state of unreality.

  • Yeah that heinous dictator FDR..with his regulations...like let me see: Social Security Act, the WPA, Fair Labor Standards Act (which set minimum wagwe) , Natl Labor Relations Act

    , FDIC

    , SEC

    , CCC

    , Good Neighbor Policy

    , Public works/TVA

, Natl Industrial Recovery Act ....I could go on..but the guys pulling Beck's strings know none of the tea party nuts know anything about anything including history.. thus revisionist history is born...welcome to GBU

  • @zenbrenzz I realize you think all of these things are good, and most of them have at least SOME merits. However, do you realize you just outlined about 1/3+ of the national debt? Isn't it fair to ask "at what cost?" You love regulation, but please explain how the SEC and SOX requirements, et al stopped 2008 from happening? Do you realize that most economists now consider the NIRA a failure? There is another side to the story, one you do not appear to be familiar with.

  • @sfo1sjb You want to throw out the baby with the bathwater.

SO? So every single program instituted under FDR is not up to your utopian standards?

The good of his programs far outweighs the problems you and the right wing have with his achievements.

Did you vote for GWBu$h? I'll bet my lunch on it.

HIS policies are responsible for the mess we are now enduring.

Obama is a great man for even WANTING to run for pres and try to lead us out of this GOP mess.

  • @zenbrenzz My comment was about LEARNING and READING. Don't tell me you don't need to understand history or perhaps the other side of the argument. You should. By the way, you lost your lunch. I never voted for W. Obama needs to stop blaming Bush and owning up to how his policies have failed. And Bush was no conservative. Obama's policies have been the economic equivalent of fighting a fire with gasoline. Out of control government and spending followed by 10x of the same.

  • how can i get an abortion in this overly regulated country??

  • Man you Leftist Wackos are tough on Glenn Beck . The truth hurts don't it ?

You guy's keep drinking the Kool -aid and don't think for yourself .

Obama will take care of you , just go back to sleep and don't worry about anything.

  • On no mister bill!!!!!!!

  • As usual, Glenn Dreck has pulled this from his rear-end. There are not (as GOP liars are claiming) 159 new agencies; not 150; not 100; BUT JUST 32. Yes, that's still a lot, and it doesn't make me happy, but why just continue to be the disgusting fools and liars that the Godless Oil Prostitutes have become? Answer: Truth always has a Liberal bias.

  • He is a zionist wanker

  • Glenn Beck is a traitor to the American people.

It's called limited hangout, people. You give some truth and then distort it at some point to give people the wrong ideas and head them in directions that are bad for them.

Listen to Alex Jones; go to infowars!!!

  • And all the agencies created during the Bush administration (trading our liberty for security) are just as egregious.

Bottom line: "Gang" rule by our present two party system has to go.

  • 2 pages when you print it with a 72 point font.

32 lines if you print it like a normal human being.

  • @SourceCode2006

    on 11 x 17 paper it appears...

  • @tadsgirl

If only it were that simple.

Which is more valuable: the freedom of the shopkeeper to discriminate, or the freedom of the African-American who wants to shop? The freedom of the factory-owner saving money by dumping toxins into the water and air, or the freedom of the people nearby to not have to ingest them? The freedom of sausage producers to add diseased meat to their product, or the freedom to be reasonably sure of our food supply? "Regulations" by themselves aren't bad things.

  • Beck's playing you guys for fools, again.

Watch Beck do a little sleight of hand, switching from actual "agencies" to "boards and commissions"--but then puts the names in tiny, fast-moving type so that you won't notice that he's listing (for example) a "Graduate Nurse Education Demonstration Program," a "Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement Program," and a other hallmarks of good management as if they were massive agencies.

Beck thinks you're an idiot. Is he right?

  • @Univarkian

"Boards and commissions" make regulations. "Agencies" make regulations. Both reduce our freedoms.

    THAT is the point.

This is why 48% see government as a threat to individual rights.

100% of our founding fathers saw the same threat.

That’s why they drafted the US Constitution.

  • @tadsgirl : Actually our liberties (i.e. rights) were drafted later in "The Bill Of Rights."

  • @Univarkian I would suggest that it is you who are foolish for not seeing the obvious truth of what Beck shared. Beck doesn't think we are idiots but you almost certainly are for ignoring the facts.

  • @davesdawgs "Obvious" doesn't mean true. It's also "obvious" that the earth is flat and that the sun is a fiery disk that floats below the pinhole stars in the sky. It's "obvious" to anybody with eyes. On the other hand, if you listen to what Beck says compared to what he's doing above, it's "obvious" that he's playing you Becksuckers for fools.

  • Impeach the Kenyan Born Impostor n Cheat! .

  • Where can one find the actual FDR agencies created and Obamacare's agencies? We Tea Party supporters can write letters to the editor informing the voting public.

  • @MikeWBL

Search for "Alphabet Agencies" and you will find them listed.

  • Where can I get that list? I know my liberal friends will challenge the accuracy of this video because its Beck and Beck is part of the vast right wing conspiracy in their minds. I need the facts! Thanks.

  • @sfo1sjb A little late to the comments..maybe you've found that list by now and have realized where the USA would be without FDR..hmmm??

On an earlier comment I listed some of the programs started by FDR like:

    Social Security Act

Natl Labor Relations Act (if u work, you see these laws posted in your workplace still today)

Fair Labor Standards Act..enabling a minimum wage

also SEC, FDIC, Many programs like public works CCC...many more without which you would be a slave

  • @zenbrenzz Where we would be? Without Social Security? Solvent! The National Labor Relations Act is terrible. Have you ever worked in a union? I have, for close to ten years. The NLRB is corrupt as the day is long and does not have workers backs. They are there to defend and expand unionism. That is NOT helping America. Without the CCC I would be a slave? Are you serious?

If you want a serious commentary on the New Deal, try reading The Forgotten Man.

  • @sfo1sjb Actually I don't need to read your right wing propaganda...My parents lived thru the Depression and told me ALL ABOUT IT...and how they and millions of others survived thanks to the greatest president ever, FDR

Beck is only following orders from his corporate masters, what's your excuse?

Are you a billionaire? Only the extremely wealthy hated FDR.,,did he redistribute the wealth?? Damn right

  • @zenbrenzz Forget politics for a moment. You and I won't agree on this. I'm just talking about READING and LEARNING. I've studied Keynsian economics. I was an Econ major. The Forgotten Man is history and a lot of facts you likely don't know. It's not propaganda and it isn't political. It's a detailed history written by a senior fellow of economic history at the Council on Foreign Relations. Don't fear information. Know the WHOLE story. It makes your arguments and ideas stronger.

  • I am ready to kick someones ass now!

Obama need's to go now! We cannot sustain this barrage of Government control. All you people sitting on your ass, you are at fault for this, and you will be held accountable!

  • FDR's "New Deal" was the end of America's genuine Free Market economics. The only reason the economy has last as long as it has is because there was a left over the cancer of government could leech off.The private market is the basis of any successful economy, and that was eroded for the last leg in the Obamacare nonsense, to leave us maybe a generation or two at most of a collapse, unless the free market has some new big product.

  • @KevZen2000 : Actually a growing middle class leads to a successful America. Markets left to their own devices can drive-down wages to where consumers don't have enough disposable purchasing power in order to create the demand to purchase goods & services.

We have seeing this again for the last 35 years, much like the 1920's.

  • @solidarity4 Not necessarily.. You see, who controls the amount of money in circulation through loans, which can result a "boom" or "bust"? The banks. First of all, they lend governments and people money that doesn't even exist! Yes, there's even rules and laws and most countries which allow banks to shut their doors if too many people want their money out at the same time..They saturate the world in "credit", then reduce the amount of credit they issue by refusing loans and raise interest rates

  • @solidarity4 This has the effect of taking money-purchasing power-out of circulation, and businesses and people no longer have enough money(because the banks just did what they did)to pay their debts, and when they default, the banks take away wealth that does exist -businesses, homes, farms etc, for not paying back loans off money that never existed in the first place, except in theory. The banking system is legalized fraud, and made possible through the nexus of companies and puppet CEO's

  • wow! Proof of the largest expansion of government in amaerican history! I got to give it to this guy, he has challenged the administration to prove him wrong, and they have yet to do so.
