in the game can you be luigi right away or do you have ot beat the game to play as luigi

You actually have to beat Bowser at the end, THEN go back and get all the new stars (adding up to a total of 120) and then beat Bowser a second time before Luigi becomes available.

I'll tell you this even if you know it or not:

To play as Luigi (I know coz i'm playing on as him) you need all of the stars as Mario and then you wil do the final Bowser Boss Tha means you have finnished the game, Afther the credits it sez you can now play as Luigi then you can play the whole game again as luigi!
