yeah it had its moments where I swore esp. in this first animation I did, but the 2nd one I'm working on is alot easier since I've been working in a job where I'm doing animation all day long so my understanding of movement is a bit stronger. Always room for improvement tho :)

yeah I was going for a contour/pencil style of rendering here - was my first attempt at it really too so quite pleased at the time :)

I'm using mental ray contour rendering in maya - it takes a bit of faffing about and shader adjustment but gets nice results.

hey guys - the sequel to this has started :) Its only gonna be a 1minute-ish piece again & I'm gonna use a track by DannyC (love my Drum n Bass sorry chaps) called "take me back" which is just an absolutely bombin tune. Gonna try and play about with visual styles too - if anyone has seen StreetFighter4 they may be a fan of the inksplat style of artwork which I'm gonna try and employ in there where I can. stay tuned & any of you rollers pm me with any hammers you think I should see :)

nah mate - its just a personal project I did some time ago now. I added the razors logo on it because I tend to turn my 3d projects into 30sec-1minute animations and alot of the time as I'm doing something I tend to think "hmm this could be cool as...". I mean theres a remedyz skate & a USD in there too at the end lol!

hey Dave, it was originally gonna be a longer animation and I were gonna have more than 1 character. the text read different at the start but then I turned it into a trailer/advert thing for razors which actually just involved changing some text at to put it on my showreel hehehe!

used to roll alot mate - for about 3-4 years solidly then a final year mostly on an off due to work an life getting in the way :/ Had some absolutely awesome skating sessions with friends. Wanted to do more with this animation but just never got time. Prob return to it to update it down the line do some funkier tricks - love the truspin to cess on the ledge lol
