So he has become better than angel, to the extent that he has inherited a name more excellent than theirs. Hebrews-ch-2-vs-9
But we behold Jesus, who has been made a little lower than angels, crowned with glory and honor for having suffered death, that he by god’s undeserved kindness might taste death for every man.
I understand why is it important for Christians to be able to answer Moslem objections among other doctrines that of the Resurrection--not only as a belief but a historical fact. To be honest, I wish that the "Christian Apologists" whether of Catholic or Protestant type would have the "stones" to engage in debate the group which for the longest time denied the Divinity of Christ and His Resurrection, even at times his decency and does so to this very day--ah, no, it ain't the Romans.
@RPenta I am dumbfounded.....how can people debate the death of a guy who never existed, and I have good info on that. This is like debating twinkle twinkle little star..lol. The jesus story was stolen from earlier pagan stories. The laws of physics have never been broken....but jesus supposedly broke many...this is very silly!
@1THETRUTH10 Absolute and utter rubbish! Jesus most certainly existed, the evidence of Josephus alone proves that! But the Mishnah also provides such, albeit pejorative, evidence. The 'earlier pagan story' idea is completely unfounded, just because the FORMS of the Gospels MAY be influenced from Graeco-Roman/pagan literature it does NOT mean that the contents of the story is not true. In fact, the using of the form shows that the authors may have wanted to subvert the so-called "earlier stories"
@Monies1899 No, not rubbish just history.....the jesus story mimics many that went before it ( every god is born to a virgin, wich we all know cant happen). Are u seriously saying a man was born that could turn water into wine, that could heal the sick....WALK ON WATER??? Those beliefs in any other context would get u sent to a mental hospital, but of course if a group of people belive in a rediculous story it's a religion..*.sigh*
I know you are an ignorant prick and its RPenta ; as to the correct spelling "moslem" was the preferred transliteration for years but I do admit it has fallen out of favor and "muslim" is more accepted now.
You are still an ignorant prick but thank you for your comment.
As known by all Christians, the Bible tells that Jesus swears an oath saying that He will not drink wine or anything similar until the day he drinks with you in the Heaven and the Holy Grail becomes a symbol of a covenant. However, before long, we see that someone resembling Jesus on the crucifix breaks this promise.
I honestly just don't see the point in this debate. The burdon of proof is on the Christians and whether Jesus died and was raised or not is 1: Impossible to prove and is 2: irrelevant to the Muslim because we believe in the Qur'an not because the Bible has been proven innacurate and unreliable (which all honest scholars would agree that it has) but becasue the Qur'an itself has proven to be miraculous and therefore of God himself.
As for your vague claim of the "earliest skeptics" of Christianity, feel free to quote that one. Feel free to quote any first or second century source.
This anti-intellectual says that Christianity could have been crushed if the body was dragged through the street.
But he says after describing how unrecognizably deformed the body is after scourging.
Not to mention the Bible says the women didn't report the empty tomb and they didn't proclaim it for 40 days, and the body would have been decayed by then. And that's even if we believe the Bible narrative and timeline.
What are you talking about they women did report an empty tomb and the angel told them why are you seeking the living among the dead? Where are you getting 40 days from?
The Gospels say the women were too scared to tell anybody what they saw. The Bible says Jesus didn't ascend for 40 days, which means in that hypothetical situation (which is laughably absurd, anyway), they didn't "go throughout the world" and preach the Gospel.
And the story doesn't have them rush out from there. They still have to have a meeting and assemble and decide who replaces Judas and talk amongst themselves, and then they have to decide where each goes, and walk from there.
So lets say a month and a half after the supposed event of the crucifixion (the very least amount of time we can give it), the "Jesus has resurrected" news goes public and it finally hits the Pharisees ear.
"Lets bring out the body" won't work. The tomb has been unattended for a month and a half, and whatever body is there is decayed and ripped to shreds from the cat of nine tails.
The argument of just showing the body is a total, total lie for idiots.
the biggest enemey of knowledge is not ignorance but the illusion of knowledge "stephen hawkings". the true christians were the earliest followers of jesus(pbuh) and they were jew and theys spoke aramic and they follwed torah and opposed pauline version of christianity as you can find by typing in "ebionites" in search.
Oh, and by the way for those Jesus haters let me tell you something you'll remember till the day you die.
Every Time you write the date on a check, or check the calander for the date, your celebrating Jesus' birth. and if you don't like it go and try to make your own calender. HA ha ha ha
Nice try , but we really have our own calender. isn't it a miracle .....this calender is in quran and the Islamic countries use it. it depends on moon not sun and called (HIJRI)
we don't hate Jesus, we love him as mohammad but we don't say lies on God , he is a prophet son of merry , made miracles by God willing, he is not God nor his son.
You are skipping the whole part of Dueteronomy 34:10. Yahweh tells the Israelites that thier will be one one like unto Moses in the land of Israel. So no jesus was not greater then Moses. Moses kept the laws Jesus the false prophet did away with them. If you say he didn't why then do Christians beleive they don't have to break a unbreakable covenant!
Is Jesus better then angel or les?

Such poor arguments lead me to believe you haven't acutally researched what you said but rather just took what you've been told at face value

"They're saying the disciples stole the body."
??? Says who? Where?
highwind8124 2 years ago
in the gospel of Mathew the it records the jews claiming it about the disciples.
it would of not been record if the jews were not saying it.

What will it take to admit you are wrong? It's easy to throw a theory against a wall until one sticks.
If your god were so absolute why doesn't everyone believe in him/her.
