  • @Rickyjohnson81 you obviously have no clue what you are talking about. i will leave it at that to not embarrass you anymore than you did yourself.....or you could really be that stupid. Either way have at it.

  • Outstanding.... Mumford and Sons should have these guys along for the tour

  • I like! I can't STAND the violin player though! She plays flat a lot. eeeehhhhhh!! Drives me crazy!

  • my god this is amazing. the violin really adds a lot from the album version. i didn't hear her play flat at all, @romeois21

  • @romeois21 What is wrong with playing flat. Unless you aren't talking about notes. Maybe that is how they intended it. Flats are very useful notes in song composer.

  • Beautiful!

  • why are they playing it so much faster than the studio version?

  • @gnitleinad it keeps interest when playing live. not that it isn't interesting already, but it's great to have an energetic live show that engages the audience =D

  • @gnitleinad perhaps because they're on live tv and they're a little nervous.

  • @deucehig i don't think so. they're playing with the tempo :-) notice how they slow it down during the chorus

  • It is rare to find a band that is so talented musically and lyrically, I have become an instant fan.

  • Its nice when you like a song from a band, then seeing them performing it live only confirms how talented you thought they were.

  • I may or may not watch this multiple times a day. Amazing.

  • OMG! Banjo Player - You're Hot!

  • Stop being desperate man; nobody likes a desperate.

  • nobody likes people who are douchebags either

  • I am guessing nobody likes you?

  • i couldnt tell if she was a guy or girl still she sang. ya she is hot....

  • denverrrrr novemver 28th :DDD

  • wow, I love the violin and cello, it gives the song a completely different feel.

And what's the girl's name who's singing and playing banjo? She sounds like a girl who's sung in a few Bright Eyes songs.

  • I saw them live twice both times i was front row on the floor and it was INCREDIBLE they are the best band live ive ever heard in my life!!!

  • theyre my favorite band of all times iv seen them twice in concert both times i was on the floor they preform the best concert i have ever been to!! SOOOO GOOD

  • love this band, osund even greater live

    woooottt!!

  • This is the second time I saw a great band make their television debut on Carson's show. Company of Thieves, now Blind Pilot.

    Maybe I should start watching....

    Nah.

  • i heard these guys open for the Decemberisits this past monday. they got a standing - o. it was amazing!!!

  • I just got back from seeing them in St. Louis literally 2 hours ago. AMAZING. The guy on the double bass said it was about Communism?

  • I love this song. The music and the melody line. Very clever arrangement. I have no idea what the lyrics mean though. Not a clue.

  • I have seen these guys live in Portland, OR. Absolutely brilliant. One of the best live performances ever. Seriously, if you don't like Blind Pilots record, you have no musical sense...

  • That dude is from my town,,,, that chick on the banjo has a sick voice when she does her song she kills it too.

  • one red thread is such a beautiful song. I love your music it touches my soul. My thirteen year old son introduced me to your music. Good Luck!

  • i've loved these guys since they supported counting crows, and i agree, the violinist is terrible. they sounded brilliant with the banjo woman and the drummer. the four of them had the best sound

  • That's just fuckin' mean!

  • yeah, i saw them with counting crows without the violinist, i think she makes the song dreary. they rocked the house with just for of them!

  • I've been listening to this song on repeat this past week. It's enough to change my life.

  • the whole album is as good as this. better in my opinion. listen to the title track it's amazing

  • Great! Thanks.

  • They opened for The Decemberists last evening in KC. Wish I coulda listened to them a little bit longer... Great sound. Yay, Banjo!

  • I just seen them at sasquatch 2009 and they're absolutely amazing!

  • ahhh lucky. i wanted to go so bad but i'm in boston so that made it a little difficult... did you see Bon Iver?

  • Nah, i really wish i would have though... went to see the yeah yeah yeah's instead (they're playing at the same time)

  • This live version, with the extra insruments sounds so much better than the album version. i stop replaying it over and over haha

  • One of my new favorites! Beautifully preformed.

  • less is more. the extra strings kind of ruin how beautifully simple this song is.

  • No sorry I heard them live on Monday, the extra Bass and Banjo really make the band but loose the violin I agree. I do love the album version but with the two extra members its so much better

  • i think they are better live then on there cd

  • just something about his voice that I can't get enough of

  • I'm in Portland, locals, would love the pooky out of 'em if I were from anywhere else!

  • i saw them at Spaceland. they were amazing! gonna be big!

  • Saw them at the Casbah in SD Friday night. Best show ever.

  • i think they could get as big as bands like the shings or decemberists... portland is the best city ever!

  • I looking foreward to their new album, all new blind pilot songs! I heard some new ones on youtube, like: We Are the Tide, and White Apple

  • amazing

  • jesus christ

well, we'll probably never open for them again :(

    farewell my sweet princesses

the big time will never be too big for you

  • Great performance and a very catchy song. best to you all. Israel is truly deserving of the bigtime. A truly good guy. Chess.

  • Amazing Blind Pilot! That was awesome! Israel looks so adorable and excited! And his vocals are perfect! The band did a great live job of One Red Thread. I'm so happy for them.

  • wow that was great....good job!

  • Yeah! Blind Pilot finally gets on network tv, albeit Carson Daly and at 1 in the frickin morning, but at least they're getting the recognition they deserve.

Israel looks so psyched to be on national tv. He can barely keep a straight face. And did you see him look at the banjo player at the end of the song, like,"Can you believe this?!" So happy for them. Most talented up-and-coming band in America this year.
