If you've ever read The Fountainhead (one of Paul Ryans favorite books), you would realize that Paul Ryan is the character of Peter Keating. He is a corporate lapdog, spewing forth the words of his lobbyist masters (Ellsowrth Toohey), without actually understanding the end result. This type of ignorant obedience we see here, displayed by Paul Ryan, is the real threat to everyones freedom.
Notice how all Repubs are praising him as genius? Just like Toohey's minions did in The Fountainhead.
Think about it. Bush's worst two years with the economy were his last two, which had a Democrat majority Congress. Clinton's worst two where his first, which also had a Democrat lead Congress. Are we seeing a trend here?
Seriously, Gingrich & Co had the ideas that lead to a balanced budget in the 90's, not Bill Clinton, he simply went along with their plans...
The health care bill will knock down the private insurance company down a peg.
They will be the ones to downsize.
not the small business.
If the health don't pass the private insurance will go broke because no one will be able to afford them ! either way the private insurance will loose there companies it time for them to cry a little we the people have by there hands!
"If the health don't pass the private insurance will go broke because no one will be able to afford them !"
Did u take econ 101? Why would insurance Co charge a premium so high that no one can buy it? If there is competition, the market price is determined by supply and demand. A single firm can hardly control price. To increase profit, they should reduce cost, but the proposed HC bill makes it very difficult. bottom line: the bill is a hoax. medical inflation is 15%, they don't consider it.
@BrendettNC so some how one of the biggest industries is going to fail either way? your retarded and were did you get your info because they are as dumb as you are
The choice is pay taxes to invade and drop bombs on innocent people...or..pay taxes for health care, roads, education, clean industries for oil independance here at home...including strong military here at home.....
your thinking is clouded by something...not sure yet what.
If you believe in a life is a life....stop the killing. It means the same here or in Afganistan or Iraq.
Republicans voted no for health care reform for Americans,
If you don't want the healthcare system to work for you, then don't pay your taxes, don't get insurance, and fight the reform bills that WILL be passed in Congress.
Thanks for trying your hardest to put me out of business you wrinkled dried up c*nt bag, you have succeeded. Enjoy your victory you devil b!tch. Now where are you going to get the money to pay for this sh!t? Selling the rest of America to China?? Printing more money?? Robbing my kids piggy bank?? Try treading on someone else for a change you f**king tax WHORE! F**k you and your whole district that elected you! Words can describe how much I hate you and your stupid grin.
Prosecution is authorized under the Code for a variety of offenses. Depending on the level of the noncompliance, the following penalties could apply to an individual:
• Section 7203 misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year.
• Section 7201 felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years. [page 3]
these people, mostly republicans rather pay taxes to drop bombs, invade countries, kill innocent civilians ( collateral casualties?) .....
some of us, rather pay our taxes, to build roads, bridges, health care, education, new clean industries and manufacturing here at home, and take care of our troops here at home.
You pay taxes for manufacturing here at home and for new clean industries?
Is the government about to start some new manufacturing businesses or new businesses at all. You silly fool, the reason manufacturing left is TAXES. We have the highest corp tax rate in the world, soon we will have the highest personal tax rate in the world. How much did you pay in taxes last year?
Did you stop and think they are voting no because they dont want to waste another trillion of our tax dollars to create dozens of new government agencies? I would vote no to this too if I could.
Why not try to fix specific issues of the larger problem, allow full competition across state lines, a pool for prexisting, tort reform? These are in the current GOP proposal and wont inject goverment into our lives farther than it is. That Pelosi bill is a foothold into your life that will never leave. Pelosi's figures are 3-4 years of taxing before paying out so the actual 10 yr costs are skewed her way.
Google "how many congressmen own stocks in AIG" and ask "who are the top 5 congressmen who own AIG stock." Real eye opener there. By the time the public option that many docs might refuse as they (please google "how many doctors refuse medicare and medicaid") do other public options is offered, Somebody is going to be increased in riches due to wallstreet big time.

There is no such thing as insurance in the US, we have prepaid medical cards, much like a prepaid phone card, because people are too dense to understand that their employer is deducting what they pay in insurance directly from what they would pay in salaries. This is made possible by the tax code that allows prepaid medical to be tax free, giving large corporations a huge advantage over small start up businesses. All other insurance is used in case of a catastrophe, why is medical different?
Unemployment was 4.4% under Bush. Ever since the democrats took majority in both houses, the unemployment rate has continued to skyrocket to... brace yourself... a whopping 10.2%!!! More than double what it was under the Bush administration. And the libtards have the balls to say that Bush was bad? Give me a break!
