  • Japanese people today, fabricated, distorted, or the operation will continue. Japanese people are always lying. Look closely at their history.

  • I want to learn this...

  • 0.o related videos...

  • From what I know Tae Kwon Do was derived from part taekkyun AND karate put together.

  • I have been practicing Taekwondo for the past 15 years of my life...and I am ashamed to say that all this time I felt and thought that Taekwondo and Taekkyon were alike. Only until last night did I spend a few hours checking numerous sources and concluded that I was wrong. Strangely, however, this has only enhanced my fascination with Taekkyon and I hope to one day have the chance to learn it. I'm not Korean, but the Korean culture fascinates me.

  • jajaja 1:21 he looks very happy... i wanna do it

  • It annoys me whenever people claim with veneration that "HerpDerp style was so deadly that it was once OUTLAWED!"

C'mon people, that's simply common-sense: remove the defeated nation's means of retaliation. That includes outlawing both weapons and teaching the means to use them. Doing otherwise is simply BEGGING for an uprising! Does the outlawing of an art automatically prove an arts effectiveness? No, not really. It just assures you that you weren't conquered by a total idiot. That's all.

  • omfg awesome 0:35

  • the white guy's enthusiasm is totally overwhelming :D

  • @DopeyCatfish real martial artists (the host is) will always appreciate martial arts. just like any other expert would appreciate more knowledge

  • Wow it looks so cool! Although it was a bit annoying how the presenter kept interrupting the teacher when he was talking.

  • It looks incredibly difficult to generate strength from their basic-stand pattern. Great respect for their art. Looks incredibly difficult indeed.

  • Even youtubers who have no blood-lineage to South Korea speak as if they know sht.

Learn the history of my nation first, second-hand from your ancestors before you talk about things you've read books about it outside of my homeland.

  • 익쿠! 섰다!

  • eeee kuu!! aee kuu!! toong!!!!!!!!!!

  • Taekkyun wasn't banned because it was deadly it was because it would gather people together when people practice and has big chance of causing problems to the Japanese. The master who kept it alive couldn't practice it when Japanese occupied Korea and wasn't secretly practicing because they threatened his family. Lastly, the master in the video was one of the closest student of Master Song, the master who kept Taekkyun alive.

  • they didnt ban it because it was deadly, they banned it because it was culturally korean! and they wanted to impose their own japanese culture on korea. people find strength in martial arts, and that isnt useful when you are trying to occupy a foreign country.

  • @kungfufreddy ikr, tv shows are always so sensationalist in their claims. a lot of the stuff they say is pure bs... the japanese banned everything culturally korean!

  • Why is he singing Arirang? That's a North-Korean song.

  • @Skelic arirang is a song varying across each region of korea. so there's jeongseon, jindo, miryang arirang and etc. The miryang one and north korean one is similar

  • @Skelic NO ;; What are you talking about?? Arirang is a traditional folk song of korea(north+south).

and south, north is the same people forever

  • @Skelic no...im pretty sure arirang is korean folk song...

  • Hmm, I always wondered what Bruce Lee was talking about in his book when referring to breaking your opponents rhythm (assuming he/she has one). Now it's very clear by what he meant.

  • All I sad was, its like capoeira - Nothing else - and it is similar to capoeira, different, but similar. When I watch this, I think of original man, and I think of the truth of the human form and it is easy for my minds eye to call up a history of the earth when man may have used a dance like this, like capoeira, which may be the root of all martial arts. It is incredibly important for humanity not only to preserve these cultural treasures but to DO THEM and dance in the shoes of those from be4

  • its like capoeira

  • @rex2074 but it has more history than capoeira. and it is more strong.

  • @i8hy6e3 how do you know? you dont - youre just exhibiting your pride - and good - good for you to be proud - dont let your pride blind you or make you say ignorant things.

  • @rex2074 it is true that it has more history than capoeira. what is wrong with you ?

  • @i8hy6e3 how could you possibly know the history of capoeira AND the art that you are cheering for? have you studied and learned the secrets of both? it is apparent by your ignorant comment that you have not - I dont like stupid people who who insult other martial arts and make vainglorious claims. If you want to cheer for what you love go ahead, when you cast aspersions upon something else, expect to get slapped - thank you, have a nice day! :_

  • @rex2074 does the capoeira have even warfare history ? but T'aekkyŏn is the martial arts that even weak man can defeat strong and big man with the skills. don't ignore other country's history and culture. it is not like capoeira at all. capoeira uses power. but taekkyon is more smart and has more skills and history. people who use taekkyon in this video are young and stupid. you have to see the real taekkyon master. strong body is not all in fight. smart skill wins always.

  • @rex2074 western people use weapon than body. but asian people use body skill than weapon. so it is sure that asian knows about body skills than weastern people. and in history, the korea defeated the 300 japanese warships with only 13 warships. people and country which has long history can win the weapon with smart skill and strategy. and T'aekkyŏn knows many things about human body than capoeira. but here is no a real T'aekkyŏn master. the most T'aekkyŏn masters are dead.

  • @rex2074 so capoeira is strong than T'aekkyŏn now. becuz here is many people who know about capoeira than T'aekkyŏn on this earth. but the person who were taekkwon master could defeat two japanese soliders who had long sword with only kicks. anyway taekkyon has more history than capoeira !!

  • @i8hy6e3 no, i didnt say anything about what is stronger - only a fool tries to make that comparison - it is about the MAN and his submission to his art, his discipline and the null of obstacles in his soul. meditate on my words - re read what I have posted - I hope your understanding raises to match your level of ignorance. Have a nice day.

  • =)) 1:19 Also, Korean pop like this. Not even martial arts get away from the glittering hand of K-pop.

  • OK... Let me clearify something. Taekkyun isn't the original form of Taekwondo. Although early Taekwondo practitioners tried to incoporate some of Taekkyun's movements into Taekwondo, they didn't. According to master Lee yong bok, current Taekkyun master and previous very skilled Taekwondo practitioner actually learned Taekkyun to see how it's incorporated into Taekwondo, and he said that there were no efforts done to do this, which proves that Taekkyun is not the original form of Taekwondo.

  • Daannngg.....woot woot for koreans lol

  • fast i like this

  • The Japanese didn't ban taekkyon, because they thought it was too deadly the banned it to crush the Korean spirit and weaken their culture

  • @SuperBluepurple That is very true. One of other main reasons Taekkyun was banned was probably because during the Taekkyun games many people would gather and talk. While doing this a rebellion could be formed. Although, Taekkyun has deadly aspect, it probably wasn't banned during Japanese occupation era because it was too deadly.

  • I just want to tell the japanese guy below that a Korean general called Yi Sun Shin defeated a large army of Japanese soldiers only with a few ships called the turtle ship.

  • if only they were still teaching this

  • 0:58 THAT was fast.

  • @kouizumiisenokami11 umm dunno where you got the idea that china was a vassal of mongolia or england cause im fairly certian their not

  • you people are arguing like children korea wasent a murdering country they killed fewer wemon and children then china did and they did defeat the japanese and also at 1 point drove the monrols out of the country

  • *you're

  • @kouizumiisenokami11 china was the place that japanese people originated from so technically your all vassals of china

  • @dennisrules94

China was vassals of Mongolia and England. But Japan repelling both.

So I'm not interested Chinese inferiority complex.

  • To gundrag000

Don't mark my comments as spam. Coward. You must got shocked that Korean true history as POODLE.

    >a korean defeated all of japanese generals.

So Tell me the name of japanese generals. And how many generals dead?

    Write here STUPID LIAR.

  • I don't like the non-asian guy.

  • Taekkyon is not a dead art.

It has mealy evolved, as Taekwondo was created by General Choi Hong Hi and is made up of Shotokan Karate and Teakkyon.

This was taught to the 29th Infantry division of the Hwang warriors.

  • @8hiner there was many martial arts and cultures. but these are all gone. becuz japan destoryed and stolen everythings of korea. and just some simple things are left. like this taekkyun and some simple traditional games, playing..

I see... simple things always survive at the last on this earth... anyway ultimate or super power unique things of korea are all gone.

korea is 5,000 years history. there was really many things and super powerful something. this country was not weak than china....

  • @gundrag000

Right. Japan destoryed everythings of 5000 years history of korea.

Because Japanese Martial Artists were TOO STRONG. And Korean Taekkyun masters were TOO WEAK. So They could not avoid Japanese attacks.

Taekkyun is just kid's play. That's all.

  • @kouizumiisenokami11 no.. if japan has same weapon with korea, they couldn't win even a asia country. japan had machine gun and guns, gun. ok ? it is why their national flag is red one on the white background. one race on this world by killing everythings. even china tried to attack japan in history but korea never tried to attack japan. even korea gave many superb cultures to japan in history becuz korea was superb as hell in whole of asia countries. and history will repeat itself again :)

  • @gundrag000

    >korea never tried to attack japan.

Don't tell a lie. Korea and China was POODLE of Mongolia Empire. And Korean armys killed Unarmed wemen, kids, oldmen of Japanese Tsushima island for butter up to Mongolia.

This humiliational stupid korean history came from TRUTH

    of Mongolian historical records 元史.

So Japanese Samurais were genocide korean armys, like the straw rats for revange. And destroyed Mongolian and Chinese armys.

  • @kouizumiisenokami11 no.. a korean general killed all of japanese generals when japan attacked in first time. and if japan didn't use machine gun and the japan had same weapon level with korea, japan couldn't win even a asia country. ok ? read some books before you trolling in here.

  • @gundrag000

    >korean general killed all of japanese generals.

Dont tell a lie. At that war, Samurais were at fought with Mongolia empire.

    NOT KOREAN POODLES. STUPID.

  • @kouizumiisenokami11 but that is true. a korean defeated all of japanese generals. and all they suicided. I think you should read some books before trolling in here. wtf ? mongolia ?? Samurais will commit to suicide before they fight with mongolia. japan has no even a history with mongol. wtf ?? mongol was strongest, there was no match in world.

  • @kouizumiisenokami11 just search it on google. WTF you want to do in here ?? that is true history. even do you want to deny the true history ?? WTF ? are you a whore ?

  • @kouizumiisenokami11 a korean sea general killed and defeated all japanese sea generals. and korea won the war in history. I am lazy. so. I won't write all of the japanese sea generals names in here.

  • @gundrag000 u sound like an idiot ''there was no match in the world'' wtf the mongrols were slaughterd several times by the japanese, chinese, and korea and yes korea did kill most of the japanese generals and dude u realy need to learn how to make a proper sentance and not scatter your words

  • @hellwolf882 well..

a korean sea general defeated all of japanese sea generals.

    and you know what ??

even japanese did " suicide attacks " to USA in the Second World War (and even they used students and girls to attack USA) so there was no way to stop psycho japanese except nuclear bomb. even the japanese did poison experiment on chinese or korean's body. you can't imagine how terrible it was.

and still most japanese are racist. a red round on the white background is their way of thinking.

  • @gundrag000

Thats right, only most of the older generation in Japan are racists.

  • @ImIwilliamImI

Not only older. Most of the new generations hate Corea too. Stupid.

  • @hellwolf882 and I know you are just trying trolling and swearing, blamming anyone in here. also I don't care you and I will never care you from now. I can know that you don't even a thing of asia history from your text. shame on your head. read even a book in whole your life. and don't swear anyone with nothing in here. here may be the someone who has serious mind with smart brain unlike you in here.

  • @kouizumiisenokami11 japan couldn't win the first war between japan and korea. ok ? a korean general killed all of japanese generals. all of japanese generals. and japanese lost thw war.

  • @gundrag000

    >even korea gave many superb cultures to japan in history

Right. Because acient japanse was the Founding Fathers of Territory of

    South korea.

Acient Korea was vassal of Japan.

  • @kouizumiisenokami11 all you have to know that japan is dangerous and psycho country. never give even a power to japan. and I think you don't know even a knowledge about asia history. also fools repeat itself.

  • @kouizumiisenokami11 mistake there. tell you why. there've been lots of incidents where freedom fighters and gangsters fought off the japs with taekkyon. Kim gu killed a lot of japs with it. korean gangsters, who were like the rebels of that time for the japs, often fought and one the japs with taekkyon. Karate and jujutsu is good. Any taekkyon practitioner can beat a karateka and a karateka can also beat a taekkyon guy. you just need to fight better.

  • @8hiner Although taekkyon's moves are usually not deadly, there are 20 or so moves in Taekkyon classified as "Yetbub" or old techniques. These are meant to seriously injure or kill others Therefore, Taekkyon does have a deadly aspect, just not usually shown, since these techniques are only taught to the trusted students. Although Taekwondo people say that they were influenced by Taekkyon, it is hard to find similarities between Taekwondo, and Taekkyun, other than both of them use many kicks.

  • @8hiner General Choi Hong Hi was a traitor to the Korean ppl. He turned communist and became a dog for Kim Il Sung and Kim jong Il.

  • @09573323 How was he a traitor to the Korean people if the North were also his people? That's the dumbest claim that you must had learned from your taekwondo master. Regardless of ideology, he taught his craft to all of his people of both Koreas without prejudice.

  • @8hiner I trained in Tae Kwon Do and I am a Han Dong in Takgeyon. If there is any influence of Takgeyon in TKD I sure failed to realize it.

  • @TakgeyonBlackbelt Totally agree. I have not heard a single Taekkyon practitioner say that there exists any similarities between Taekkyon and TKD. Even master Lee yong bok, who practiced Tkd before he changed to Taekkyon, says that there were NO efforts from early tkd prople to incorporate Taekkyon in their martial art, but just claimed that tkd came from Taekkyon. Totally ridiculous how tkd people try to connect their history to korean traditional martial art that they have no connection to.

  • @Minsang1st Quite right. Taekwondo is mostly what Korean masters of Japanese karate put together, much in the same way that hapkido is mostly aikido learned by Korean people. :X

  • @TakgeyonBlackbelt there is taekkyun influence in tkd but not as much as we are led to believe. Of the five masters who worked together to develop WTF TKD, one of them was a taekkyun master so in some sense you can say it is '1/5 taekkyun'. TKD is definitely not a direct descendant of taekkyun though.

  • No one uses Taekkyun to its full extent anymore. Why would you? This was made specially for 1 hit kill, not a KO.

The art was starting to become unpopular during Joseon (during when guns were invented and hand-to-hand combat became rare). Then Japan tried to erase it.

Look at how he held back when he kicked in 2:33. He's a master, he could have gone all out and messed that chest up. Nothing in youtube on taekkyun shows anything deadly. I doubt there will be any.

  • I LOVE THAT JUMP ON UR OWN KNEE KICK.

  • Japanese like this: "AAAAAA!!!!!"

    Chinese like this: "HAAAAAA!!!!"

    Korean like this: "TOOONG!!!!!"

  • @gungnir2357 Does that mean: the more different letters you yell, the better your punch? :D

I'll start yelling "KACHING!!!" now, so my actions have uber effects :D

  • @gungnir2357 looooooooooooooooool

  • the way he does that strike at 2:15 reminds me of Bujinkan Taijutsu

  • I doubt that the Japanese banned it because it was deadly. More like that they wanted to promote their own cultural arts.

And how old is this guy? Didnt Japan invade Korea in the 40's? That would make him a baby.

  • @Kinghercules it seems it was his teacher that was practicing in secret during the annexation of Korea. The man in the video was then taught by that master.

And I agree, it probably was to promote Japanese culture as opposed to Korean.

I really dig Taekkyun though. Wouldn't mind training in that for a while.

  • @Kinghercules They banned it for the same reason that Hitler, Castro, Stalin, Mao, etc. banned owning a firearm or confiscated firearms. They didn't want the native Korean population to be able to mobilize with any sort of skill to oppose them. If your enemies don't have the ability to attack you then you control them. Right?

Interestingly, many Korean swords from that period like walking sticks (with the scabbard and all) with no hilt. This was to hide them from the Japanese.

  • @Kinghercules he was taught by song dukki who was the saviour of taekkyon

  • weird.....doesn't look effective but still interesting

  • @iNfaMousYaj extremely effective

  • @KillSwitch66627 yeah each style has their own techniques....very interesting as well....

  • @iNfaMousYaj It is the Chinese practice Tai Chi Chuan this way.

  • IhKeuhhh!!!!

  • Someday, someday

  • i love this! finally the truth behind Korean martial arts. i like the philosophy!

  • act

  • That master should try to cross-train with more Chinese and Japanese martial arts. Not all Chinese and Japanese martial arts attack the way he said they do lol

  • lol I can tell he's getting annoyed when the guy punches at his face. I understand how he feels, I hate it when people do that. To me, its projecting arrogance and a "im a better fighter than you, so dont mess with me" vibe. Im not saying the Korean guy is like that, its just what I feel when people have done it with me. Interesting martial art though. I like it's philosophy. "Natural mind, natural movement." If you are happy and relaxed, you'll fight easier.

  • wish they showed more techniques and moves original to tekkyun. ive seen some really killer ones but this vid mostly shows bouncing around. check out this vid watch?v=A3UWA-yRYn4

    or even this one

watch?v=c-X0y8C3knk the sparring starts at 3:15

  • "Japanese aaaah!!!" "Chinese schhh" "Korean Tong!" Hahahahha ^_^

  • @magicstick91 lol yeah that was just weird.

  • yo he dance like in capoirea

  • no way..this not even close to capoeira am Brazilian and its not even close, not saying we better just that its two totally different cultures..

  • @AMARILLO08 yo who said any think about culture?

i am talking martial arts an see some connection

  • This is just fucking awesome to watch

  • T'aekkyon was for everyone, at the height of its popularity even the king at chosun practiced it. The only reason it became banned was due to gambling in tournaments but was only allowed to be practiced by the military, then the japanese came in and tried to obliterate it from existence. I did my thesis in college about this martial art...

  • Deadly fighing style, Happy and comfortable mind.

    that doesnt sound right

  • What a load of hooey! the Japanese didn't ban Taekkyeon because it was deadly. They banned it because it was Korean. They were trying to eradicate Korean culture.

  • karate gay style....

  • Hey, Karate comes from Okinawa under chinese rule. Nothing japanese.

  • karate is tei and fusion of the kung fu.

A karate stick is a weapon of Okinawa.

    (It is originally harness)

Okinawa was equal with China and went together.

It was allowed the King of Okinawa stepped on the sedan chair, and to enter the Forbidden City by the Chinese emperor.

However, it was not allowed for Korean King to enter the Forbidden City.

It was written as "大清国属高麗国旗" on a Korean flag of the 19th century.

  • That was Qing dynasty. Qing was not china, it was manchu. King od Okinawa? LOL Karate came from China culture, not Japan. LOL

  • Please who gave japan Nippon? Who yea, it was chinese emperor. Japan needed Korea and China to learn culture. You are nothing only samurai is ur culture.

  • The Japanese makes a voyage to China directly after Kudara fell.

Almost then, Japan did not assume Korea a halfway house to China.

It means that the Korean Peninsura came to have nothing to do with Japan really.

The Japanese culture has much quality that came from China directly. The Korean Peninsura was a straw to Japan.

There is not the thing which came to Japan after culture of the Chinese origin was refined more in Korea.

  • Why then Japanese culture is similar to Korea and China. Korean culture is 5,000 years old. Korea didn't come from China. They came from Manchuria-Korean peninsula area. Jurchen, Manju are part of Koreanic race. Yamato came from Kudara, you know better, LOL jap history origin = Korean history.

  • 90% of jap culture/history is Tang china. Our culture is aliitle bit influenced from ming. Our culture is way older than yours. Many japanese come to Korea to respect their ancestors. You are nothing to us.

  • Our culture is a liitle bit influenced from Ming.

    YES.

It means that Korea was a Chinese dependency.

The days before letting soul fall after the armed forces of Hideyoshi struck Korea were only one month.

There were not the armed forces which stopped the attack of the armed forces of Hideyoshi in Korea.

When Hideyoshi died, I did the talks of the cease-fire in Japan and China.

Korea is not added to the talks. It means that the commander of the Korean armed forces was ming.

  • Yes, Joseon was the lowest point of our history. Ming and Joseon were tributaies because Ming was land of confucianism. Hideyoshi was embrassed because he lost the war because of Yi Sun Shin. Hideyoshi Kowtow Joseon and Ming.

LOL Even in japan, many people admire Yi Sun Shin, because of his greatness.

  • Yi Sun Shin attacked the supplying ship with a little armament.

He who became 武班 at 36 years old was not trusted by a subordinate.

They fought till death of Hideyoshi was conveyed from Osaka by them.

And Yi Sun Shin was spoiled by the Japanese armed forces on the way which withdrew.

  • The Japanese enemy was cold and starvation than Ming.

It is said to have died by starvation and cold many soldiers.

It was common by the then war that the food commandeered locally.

However, then Korea was in state that I was near to modern North Korea.

The governing classes looked down upon labor in then Korea. And they exploited a farmer.

In addition, Yi Sun Shin is Mongolian, and it is the whole families who ran around from the hateful boss.

  • Samurai came from Europe! LOL

  • What are Japan and the European common point?

It is to have been the same political system.

Therefore Japan becomes able to be equal with Europe in a short term.

    SAMURAI is Japan.

    The Europe is a knight.

And chivalry and Bushido had thought to sympathize with.

  • Yes, Japan is so great! Japan is greater than Korea and China? Ok? you happy? LOL

  • The neighbor that Korea is annoying to Japan and China.

Japan handled Korea as a human being. Therefore Japan is made a fool of by a Chinese.

However, the Chinese praises that only Japan protected independence with the power that is equal with Europe though the Asian country which China included became the European colony.

  • lol what the heck are you talking about? The neighbor that Korea is annoying to Japan and China?

lol do you mean to say that during the Japanese occupation of Korea, that the Japanese handled the Koreans humanely? If setting up brothels by forcing girls as young as 8 years old from households and assuming property of Korean land by using high taxes which were affordable by none other than the super rich politicians is considered humane... lol... You must be joking!

  • @YunSeung You already registered Iris Festival clause of the Chinese origin with UNESCO as Korean original culture.

Korea insists that Confucius and Genghis Khan are Koreans.

There were a lot of Koreans who insisted that "TAEKKYON was play of the children" in ex-Korean web site, ENJOYKOREA.

  • You should not recite the history of the prostitute whom the Korea government forged.

It is proved that they apply and became a prostitute by the investigation of the then Allied Forces.

In addition, it is a broker of the Koreans to have recommended the women to the Japanese armed forces.

The Japanese armed forces punished the broker who abducted a woman illegally, besides. With that in mind, the Japanese armed forces give back a woman to a parent.

  • lol what? I never heard of Koreans insisting that Confucius and Genghis Khan being Korean. Where do you get your information? Even my father learned in his history class about Genghis Khan and how he was a Mongolian Overlord that took over much of Asia.

And Taekkyon WAS a part of Korean tradition as far back as the proto-three kingdoms era of Korea. There are tombs that have diagrams of it and The Manmulmo (1790) references it as well.

  • @YunSeung The old fresco drew TAEKKYON; is not proved.

The reason is because I see it with the picture of the dance.

I write ancestor of Ryu Siwon, Yu Sonryon in "懲 毖 録".

In Korea, there are 100 generals. However, they can never train a soldier.

  • Huh?

Taekkyon back in the days were not used for soldiers. Taekkyon was part of folk culture and Taekkyon was initially a contest or competitive sport (much like Ssireum). This also explains the dance like movements and conditioning of trainees.

And by the way, fresco is a form of Greek mural painting formed back in 1500 BC.

We have paintings of hunters with tools and cultural references of cave men... If those are good enough to prove cavemen existed, why not Korean culture? Logic?

  • @YunSeung "The picture of the wall" of the old burial mound was translated as a fresco.

Does your reply admit that "TAEKKYON is not martial arts?"

  • Haha don't kid yourself. Taekkyon is a martial art. Sure, it has dance-like movement but so do many martial arts; Capoeria, Silat and a few forms of southern Shaolin Kungfu are a few examples of fluid martial arts.

Don't be mistaken: Martial arts do not ALWAYS mean hard and practical. Many times, martial arts come in forms of competition, sports or even dance. Martial, meaning combat and Art, meaning a form of expression means that Martial arts can be a vast array of Martial ways.

  • @YunSeung There is not the description about TAEKKYON in Korean past historical materials.

I write that there "are not the martial arts except a spear and the bow in Korea" in the Korea dynasty authentic record.

An act to sweat was vulgar in Korea.

It is work of the slaves in then Korea to do an act to sweat.

Therefore, the military officer was existence looked down upon by a civil officer.

  • A military officer cannot do the act that the slave does eagerly.

In addition, there cannot be the thing that a ruler allows for a slave to do martial arts.

  • @taihuu25go

There is also difference between a slave and a peasant. Do you think that just because people didn't allow things that people don't do? Look at any country. People say do not kill and do not steal, but people kill and steal anyway. Just because law is justified, does not mean people follow the law.

  • @YunSeung Was TAEKKYON a thing to use it by robbery?

Then is it that a farmer was stronger than a soldier?

If it is true, I can understand that Korea depended on the Chinese armaments for the defense of the country.

  • Korea was going to make the reserve armed forces such as Japan after IMJINWAR.

However, it seems to have been only an old man and a child to have gathered for the national recruitment.

Because the young men were work force, I was not able to afford to learn martial arts.

  • Well, there was a point where the working class DID overpower the armed forces in the late joseon era. This was caused when the royal courts used too much taxations on the workers and it caused a lot of revolts. Of course, during this time, the aristocrats made the mistake of asking the Japanese and the Chinese for help; little did they know, both countries only wanted a piece of the land for more power. Eventually, this leads to the Japanese occupation of Korea in 1910.

  • Remember, it isn't always about skill when it comes to power. What made the aristocrats so powerless to the working class was that the aristocrats were small in number while the workers were in sheer numbers.

  • @taihuu25go

As I've mentioned before, Taekkyon was mentioned in the Manmulmo, written in 1790. The period of which you are describing is the late Joseon era (late 1800's - 1910) where Korea was described as "The land of the morning calm". Previous references such as the Muye Dobo Tongji, Muye Jebo and Muye Shinbo all have different martial arts listed in them. There are Sword arts, Spear, Bow, Horse riding, and even flails.

  • Yi Sun Shin kicked all monkey ass. He was not supported by Joseon or Ming. LOL

  • There was not the battle experience, and the commander of the newcomer only as for bragging was looked down upon to a subordinate by a subordinate.

Therefore he attacked only the supplying ship.

Ming ordered for Yi Sun Shin.

We ceased fire. Therefore, you must not attack Japan

However, Yi Sun Shin attacked the Japanese armed forces which withdrew and lost.

  • IT doesn't make sense, Japanese were attacking, not withdrewing in any off the battles. LOL

  • Even Korean King was punished in those days by China.

The Korean King went to the outside of the town and met a Chinese public employee. +

And the Korean King had to do greetings to touch a head in the ground for a Chinese public employee.

In other words the Korean King said hello when "I was the social position that was lower than you of the Chinese public employee".

  • No That was in Qing china. but it stopped. Joseon only paid 1 tribute? You know why? because manchu and chosun are one family. Japan is also linked in the chosun area in section of Kudara.

  • The Manchurian flies into a rage with the Korean claim.

    Kokuryo is the Chinese history.

    Kokuryo ruled WAI group.

Korea was ruled for 100 years by Mongolia. As for the Korean forced mating with the Mongolian on, all Mongolia of them is brother.

    A Mongolian dislikes Korea.

A family of I Son gge seems to have had a name of Mongolia.

  • 金則本我國平州之人, 稱我爲父母之國, 尹灌築九城之地, 以先春嶺爲界, 終金之世, 兵不相加。(高麗史 written by Korean dynasty)

Korea was their mother country! LOL Japan's father is Kudara Korea!

  • From a book edited in the 16th century, is it settled in the history the 1000 years ago?

  • ITCH!!!! ITCH!!!!!

  • 2002. A Korean article about "the Japan-colored exclusion movement."

Words of 50% come from Japanese now in Korea. It is very difficult to remove it.

There are both the thing except it and the thing coming from Japan.

    The one is taekwondo.

  • The times when Korea was a military regime.

    Korea force used KARATE.

I wrote KARATE as a in kanji 唐手道 in Korea.

And the Korean read it with Tangsoodo.

One day I performed 演武 of KARATE by the soldiers of Korea force in front of the President.

The President mistook KARATE for TAEKKYON.

  • Then Taekkyonn was one of the dancing in Korea.

However, it was ruin of my own to argue for the President in a then Korean military regime.

Therefore we changed some Karate and made the false history to "be Taekondo based on Taekkyon".

  • Taekkyon came from Goguryeo, Don't listen to these japs. They know their language and culture came from either Korea and China.

Pityful japs = 2,000 years history

Korean and Chinese = 5,000 years.

Wonder why japs culture is so similar to ours. Look at their fucken temples and language, is so similar to ours.

Japs copied Tang chinese architecture. Go look up Tang china and see similarity of Japanese carbon copied culture!

  • Taekkyon came from Goguryeo?

Korea does not have such history.

You do not believe in only a government-designated textbook.

Korea is periods more than 500 years, a Chinese dependency.

Military affairs protected country Chinese by the times before it.

    /watch?v=wVWECqMm0-4

  • Korea, a chinese dependency for 500 years? No it was not. Japan was decendency of China in 4th century, while Korea started in 6th century. LOL

Remember Kudara build your Hōryū-ji temple and gave you seven branched sword for your servitude! LOL

  • A description of the Chinese history.

The epitaph of Monument of King Hotae.

    Kudara was a Japanese dependency.

And Kudara held out the imperial family in Japan.

The Wuning King was brought up as a hostage in Japan and assumed a Japanese a wife.

katana which came from Kudara to Japan is for religious service.

It is gifts from King of Kudara to Japanese King.

  • Silla borrowed the armaments of Kokuryo and destroyed Kudara.

The imperial family of Kudara got away in Japan.

Had it cramped as a slave, and the people except it were carried off by China.

The race of Kudara became extinct.

The modern Korean is not connected with the race of Kudara.

By a bone and the genetic investigation, the modern Korean ancestor seems to be WAI group of the Caspian Sea coast.

  • How is Kudara a slave when jap helpd Kudara in battle? LOL You are just a slave to Kudara. Kudara is part of Korean history.

  • Kudara is part of Korean history.

yes. Kudara is the best group of the history of the Korean Peninsura.

It is not the national history called Korea.

Kudara is a race totally different from a modern Korean.

It is not the modern Korean history.

In the present age, are there a custom and the culture continuing from the Kudara times in Korea?

The thing which Korea does not have is a thing in Japan, and the Korean is jealous of Japan.

  • Korean jealous of Japan. I just exposed ur lies about Korea. You come to a Korean related video and say we are slaves but when Historians proven that Japan was simply came from Korea and built Yamato kingdom which Kudara settled. Even Yamato Kings were from Kudara. Your emperor and ur books say that Kudara is your homeland? Japan has to respect Korea because it is their mother. Yes, Korea got some influence from china, but its originalty comes from Siberia and central asia.

  • Just visit Nango in Miyzaki district. They celebrate Kudara festivals. They perseve their ancestors. Even emepror wants to visit his ancestors in Korea. Japan is nothing to us. You got defeated by Yuna Kim. LOL

  • Please visit Shiwasu Matsuri , to honor Korea as their mothercountry. You know the first japanese was korean, he came from Shiragi.

  • They who lost a country of Kudara criticized it once in the Yamato. I know the legend that they moved to Miyazaki afterwards.

The ancestors worship is Japanese tradition.

The Korean is the worship to the power.

It is an irrelevant story in Korea which sent them.

  • LOL Yamato = Kudara servant. Remember we built you temples and Yamato honors Kudara into nobles and high rank position across Yamato land. Stupid jap, u know traditions come from Korea. Japan hides it like in WW2. Even ur emperor says that he is from Korea. Nothing is original in japan only samurai. LOL

  • A race is different from Kudara person in you. Therefore there is no help for it even if I brag about you Kudara.

Kudara is the Japanese dependency which held out the imperial family of Kudara as a hostage to Japan.

Thus are there a custom and the culture of the dance Festival continuing in Korea from the Kudara times?

There is not the Korean answered for this question.

  • Kudara is not a jap territory! LOL did u learn that from ww2 history book? It remained a "hostage" because Baekje needed protection from Shilla. Yes, there are traditions in Korea from Kudara.

  • Ancient documents of China and Japan.

Korea does not have the document which is older than the 14th century.

    /watch?v=OqEP0Fn5YDo&feature=video_response

  • too bad jap videos arent proven only statements with no claims. LOL
