  • you sound like a retard!

  • O realy?

  • Berlin? Deutscher! :)

  • Nice proof of concept, unfortunately the game play is too slow, to be useful. But it still amazing that the game is running via emulation.

  • i hae that tablet

  • haha youve got a damn slow pc ^^

  • This is essentially what OnLive is.

  • it sucks to not use the wiimote for collecting starbits :(

  • Laggy as hell in doesn't take the full screen

  • wow.... and it even comes with slow down. Much better than, you know, actually buying the game and a wii :O

  • 1st question are u using the 360 controller on the pc or on the tablet second can you do this over wi-fi

  • The lag IT BURNS!!!

  • Wha? That's unplayable.

  • I can't be slower, right?

  • I think his point was to give an example of how a fairly weak device can run demanding software using a stronger computer. The future might be in perfecting net code in order to use a centralized source of computational power, rather than everybody having high end machines (like smart phones, tablets and laptops) in their pockets and bags. Kinda like how at the astronomy department of my university, they have a sick supercomputer on which very demanding simulations are run from standard PCs.

  • Good idea, but what is that... like 12FPS

  • I was Gonna tell a gay joke, Butt fuck it.

  • Your biggest enemy bigger than no other. Bigger than any video game boss. The letter "S"

  • Esto es un tablet utilizando una aplicación de escritorio remoto con la app splashtop remote control y utilizando el emulador Dolphin en el pc junto con el mando Xbox360... vaya basura de video... mucho tiempo libre tienes amigo!!

  • Not even worth it if there's going to be screen Delay.

  • Dear Lord...that's not even remotely impressive in any way.

  • his pc probably to weak to play the games at a high frame rate

  • Is this a Joke? Running a game via VNC through your Android... What are you going to stream movies to your Android through VNC from a remote computer?

  • Nice to see but it isnt really plating wii games on a tablet..

vnc just sends alot of jpg's or something to the client.

using VNC i even played eve, wow, crysis and gothic4 on my iphone.

  • Uhh.....the tablet is not running Dolphin, your computer is. That's not playing Wii on a tablet. That's playing Wii on your computer looking inside a VNC window on your tablet. And who would want to play Galaxy with a 360 controller? It's plays much better with a Wii controller. Just because you can do something doesn't make it a good idea. I can show you a better way to play Wii. Just get a Wii and put in the disc and play at full speed on ANY size TV you wish. See, much better.

  • A technical genius, if only he had a more better computer.

  • this is fail the game runs like shit

  • What's next? Playing Uncharted 3 on Wii on an Android Tablet with a 360 controller and having split screen co op using a keyboard and mouse

Actually make that happen cuz I would die to see that

  • so basically your computer has to be in close proximity of the xbox controller. why not just play it on the computer?

  • Anyone notice the game was in horrible SUPER SLOW MOTION??? I wouldn't exactly call that 'playing' a game. EPIC FAIL.

  • ...That's it?

This is the equivalent of just connecting your PC to your TV and running Dolphin onto it so you can play actual 1080p Wii games. This isn't really special.

  • talk about tons of lawsuits.

  • So... all you're doing is streaming your pc onto your tablet...

I guess that's pretty cool...I was mislead into believing that tablets were actually powerful enough to run Wii emulators or something.

    *Thanks Kotaku*

  • @capnbarfy I think the hidden point here is this is how they adapt software for a different device. Monitoring how it behaves to the game likely produces data telling them how the emulator for it needs to be written.

  • wow..you really went all out XD thats really cool dude.

  • why is the game in SUPER SLOW MOTION???

  • WiiU.

  • You know, I can't believe the reason people are giving for why this isn't that great is because it's like Onlive. It's not like Onlive, because Onlive is a game streaming service. This isn't. A better way to complain would probably be something more like, "it's a VNC connection to a computer running an emulator, which has been done a million times before." Just saying, if you're gonaa complain, at least use something worth complaining about...

  • @POKEMONMASTER260

I guess you don't know the way OnLive works then. Instead of you complaining about the other people telling the truth here, you should go do some research of what they are talking about, because this is the same concept OnLive uses. They stream a live video feed of what's on their PC, which is the same as this app that lets you stream a video of your PC. Now, how is that not different??? Just because one is in his PC and the other one isn't?

  • lol by the time mario actually gets anywhere. Kal-el will be zoomin past with blazing speed on tablets in the next few months.

  • you tawk priddy kewl

  • Dude you are soooo outdated with the world. This "Proof Of Concept" of yours has been done for awhile now.... its called OnLive, look it up. The emulator thing isn't any different.

  • @SIRMDMonster ...except for all the ways in which it IS different, like the bit where the game is on your OWN computer instead of OnLive's central hub and being streamed to a portable device instead of OnLive's set-top box.

It's like some people see the words "streaming videogames" and their brains shut down.

  • VNC is nothing new.

I ran Guild Wars on my PSP for a while.

Port the Wii to Android for real credit.

  • It was proven a few months ago. Ever heard of ONLIVE :) ?

  • Dat framerate!

  • This is a remarkable technical achievement. NOW CHANGE THOSE BATTERIES GOD THE BLINKING LIGHTS DRIVE ME INSANE

  • yo dawg I heard u like playing video games

  • what ho this demonry?

  • its amazing

  • Haha this is great

  • Just a curiosity: How did you manage to plug and play with the 360 controler? Did you use any program or something?

  • @Shivalinka86 the controller is actually synced to the PC he is streaming from. Might as well plug in your pc to a big screen and play there.

  • >8fps

    >future of gaming

    Yeah, no.

  • This is pretty much what OnLive is. Concept is a reality now lol. Nice job though.

  • Nice, butusing splashtop to play emulators isnt new, a lot of people have been doing it for months, like me. the issue with this is streaming from the internet, locally will be nice and fast, but when you start doing it over the internet, not so much.., I've tried dozens of connection combinations, went even as far as buying 100mbps connection, still didnt make it lag free.
