I think his point was to give an example of how a fairly weak device can run demanding software using a stronger computer. The future might be in perfecting net code in order to use a centralized source of computational power, rather than everybody having high end machines (like smart phones, tablets and laptops) in their pockets and bags. Kinda like how at the astronomy department of my university, they have a sick supercomputer on which very demanding simulations are run from standard PCs.
Esto es un tablet utilizando una aplicación de escritorio remoto con la app splashtop remote control y utilizando el emulador Dolphin en el pc junto con el mando Xbox360... vaya basura de video... mucho tiempo libre tienes amigo!!
Is this a Joke? Running a game via VNC through your Android... What are you going to stream movies to your Android through VNC from a remote computer?
Uhh.....the tablet is not running Dolphin, your computer is. That's not playing Wii on a tablet. That's playing Wii on your computer looking inside a VNC window on your tablet. And who would want to play Galaxy with a 360 controller? It's plays much better with a Wii controller. Just because you can do something doesn't make it a good idea. I can show you a better way to play Wii. Just get a Wii and put in the disc and play at full speed on ANY size TV you wish. See, much better.
This is the equivalent of just connecting your PC to your TV and running Dolphin onto it so you can play actual 1080p Wii games. This isn't really special.
@capnbarfy I think the hidden point here is this is how they adapt software for a different device. Monitoring how it behaves to the game likely produces data telling them how the emulator for it needs to be written.
You know, I can't believe the reason people are giving for why this isn't that great is because it's like Onlive. It's not like Onlive, because Onlive is a game streaming service. This isn't. A better way to complain would probably be something more like, "it's a VNC connection to a computer running an emulator, which has been done a million times before." Just saying, if you're gonaa complain, at least use something worth complaining about...
I guess you don't know the way OnLive works then. Instead of you complaining about the other people telling the truth here, you should go do some research of what they are talking about, because this is the same concept OnLive uses. They stream a live video feed of what's on their PC, which is the same as this app that lets you stream a video of your PC. Now, how is that not different??? Just because one is in his PC and the other one isn't?
Dude you are soooo outdated with the world. This "Proof Of Concept" of yours has been done for awhile now.... its called OnLive, look it up. The emulator thing isn't any different.
@SIRMDMonster ...except for all the ways in which it IS different, like the bit where the game is on your OWN computer instead of OnLive's central hub and being streamed to a portable device instead of OnLive's set-top box.
It's like some people see the words "streaming videogames" and their brains shut down.
Dude you are soooo outdated with the world. This "Proof Of Concept" of yours has been done for awhile now.... its called OnLive, look it up. The emulator thing isn't any different.
But really what it is.. if you have a powerful enough PC you could essential get all the consoles running through emulator.. then back up your games and play it all on one device.
Now if you get this to stream to a SmartTV that would be completely something else right there..
Nice, butusing splashtop to play emulators isnt new, a lot of people have been doing it for months, like me. the issue with this is streaming from the internet, locally will be nice and fast, but when you start doing it over the internet, not so much.., I've tried dozens of connection combinations, went even as far as buying 100mbps connection, still didnt make it lag free.

Nice proof of concept, unfortunately the game play is too slow, to be useful. But it still amazing that the game is running via emulation.

@Shivalinka86 the controller is actually synced to the PC he is streaming from. Might as well plug in your pc to a big screen and play there.
