Ok , to clear things up. SAS and Navy SEALs both date back to WW2, SAS is older tho, because US was not involved in the beginning of the war. To be in an operational SAS squadron it takes maybe a couple of months of training or up to a year. To get into an operational SEAL team, it can take up to 30 months. Anyone in the British Army can be invited to try to be in the SAS. SEALs are selected exclusively from the Coast Guard or Navy.

if you mean the sniper rifle i must say you are terribly wrong. the rifle is the Barrett Arms M82A1 .50 cal High-Velocity sniper rifle. i guess that if you get hit by one of those you WILL fly in the air. every hit from this weapon can prove fatal especially in the upper body and torso area

Thats not true. The M14 fires the 7.62 x 51mm and has just as much or more kinetic energy then an AK-47 depending on the range. So unless you are a Navy SEAL or some other tough Special Forces warrior or have some good body armor it will knock you down. Oh and they didnt use the M14 carbine in this movie its survice was over after WW2.

No it's being used a lot. Every special forces group has it in there armory and they use as the primary sniper unless its a long range target mission. And it is still used as the primary midrange sniper for the Army and the Marine Corps.
