Where do you get your footage from - I have NEVER seen any kind of footage of this apart from the final ball, then you come out with all of that. Respect to you.
Maybe not the best, but cerainly the best to watch. Lara's strokeplay was always sensational, the 277 he made against Australia in the early 90's is perhaps the best innings ive seen by anyone, ever. He had a knack for making gigantic scores often in unlikely or difficult situations, to score 501 in a first class inning is almost unfathomable. Hats off my friend, that is incredible.
Flopdulkar would never play county cricket. He knows he could never cope playing on pitches with swing and seam. Sachin Flopdulkar was a gutless cunt who tried to protect his average by only playing on dustbowls against crap subcontinent teams.
I had a friend who was a big-Lara-fan and he used to say "Let me watch him just pick up that bat whether even he doesnt score a single runs".... Boy that Lara had a style to bat.
@robelinda2 Hi Rob, I was wondering whether you ve got Lara's 277 at SCG in 1990 (not sure whether you ve already uploaded it). According to the commentators it's even better than Clarke's 300+ against India. I wouldn't know cos I was barely 2 years old at the time :D. If you you ve got it and can upload it it would be much appreciated.
I cannot find words to appreciate the service you're doing for the cricket fans around world. Keep up the good work mate. Cheers.
I would argue Viv Richards is the better batsman. He was much more consistant than Lara. Though, I cannot argue that Lara's highest scores are a joy to watch. He don't mess around when he gets going.
@scartillery where did you get your facts talking about viv richards was much more consistent than lara? rather than just talking on emotion or what u heard u had better go and check facts for yourself...viv richards batted 14 straight innings and couldnt score a half century...he only reach 40 on 2 occasions as well during those innings...
I have seen both Sachin and Lara play throughout their career. Both are great players, wonderful to watch and awesome performers. Sachin is more consistent in his performance. Lara was more brilliant, charismatic whenever he performed.
true true... his average is incomparable and he does average 95 in 234 first class games.... i am probably a bit bias as i am from the Caribbean.. Okay Don, Lara, Sachin!
@MultiSazam..Thanks for mentioning that. Look these two guys are GREAT!!! I just hate the argument about Sachin having more pressure and "hope for millions" like is he's playing for their lives are something. The real presure is on the field against world class players and both performed. Lara was heavily scrutinized and Sachin was worshipped so if you want to go on (mental pressure) Lara had alot more. Also added pressure is knowing if you lose your wicket most likely the team will lose.
@vickyr9909..your argument is baseless because Sachin was not always the best batsman on his side over the 20 yrs..the greatest yes but there were times when Dravid and Sehwag were the team's best batsman which says alot . As for Lara we know who was undoubtedly the best on his team when he played.
For every1 disgusted abt Sachin fans bringing him in this video has to 1st check the description of the video.. From what i get is Rob is one hell of a prankster.. Keeps needling "Insecure-Single minded-(sometimes)abusive" Sachin worshipers (Yeah He s GOD).. Keep the Uploads coming Rob.. We LOVE them as much as we LOVE BC Lara & SRT..
@hardikvyas21 Batting artistry. every time he walked out to the middle he seemed to bat like he had no idea of the state of the match, the series, his own milestones, he just went out and tried to dominate and entertain, and boy did he do that. Sure he has some holes in his record but who cares, all the great entertainers have a flaw in their record. His ability to really turn it on in test cricket and go from a score of 160 to go on to make a really massive 250+ score is some ability and skill.
This is Lara's video so talk about Lara only. I feel from last two decade there are only 2 genius played cricket. Lara and sachin no one else came close. So stop fighting
Lara is the best TEST batsman the world has ever seen... he retired with the most test runs, highest individual test score and highest first class score... he was above the rest
@Jourdydogyella Nope, Lara, Don, Sachin.... when a man has almost all the Test batting records, he is most certainly gonna be above the rest. Lara broke the world record twice, that is unthinkable for someone to do that and against quality opposition. He has the highest number of runs scored in an over in Tests, was the highest test runs scorer when he retired, higehest 1st class score... Don is a legend but i will rate Lara above him.
@LDStulla you're a dopey prick, saying any batsman is better than Bradman is like suggesting your 12 year old pudgy kid is a better basketballer than Jordan. It's just so idiotic that it's laughable.
@Jourdydogyella And the reason why i not rating sachin above them is well he play over 180 Test matches... if lara or Don had played that same amount they wud have achieved more than him
@LDStulla yeah i have to agree with the world record setting etc. but dons average of course, is unbelieavable. he scored 12 double centurys in 52 matches! thats crazy stuff. i agree lara is among the best ever but bradman i think stands in a class of his own.
I followed Lara during his remarkable run when he started with his 375, added another 4 consecutive centuries, culminating in this 501. Add to that his 400* - Lara never got bogged down like Tendulkar does too often. Lara protected his wicket when the occasion demanded (as against Australia) but in his top 3 scores, he never slowed down even when he was approaching the respective world records - seemed like a 1 day game. No way would Tendulkar come anywhere close to Lara's genius
Can people stop bringing up Sachin fucking Tendulkar in every cricket video that has a non Tendulkar milestone. Yes Tendulkar is a legend but let's all just applaud Brian Lara's genius here.
@robelinda2 Well Robe it seems you have something personal against sachin. I really like your videos but it seems you are trying to prove that sachin is nothing. As an Indian I tell you "Lara was a class act, Even batsman like Rahul dravid said that LARA is his favorite batsman" . If we talk about class and panache then LARA is the KING. Sachin is great too but for me lara is always above him.
Talking about records lets see who will break SACHIN's 200 in oneday International.
@robelinda2 Exactly, I wish they would appreciate the cricketing genius of other players such as Bradman, Ponting, and Lara. Sachin will always be second best to the Don statistically anyway ;)
@robelinda2 not only that, but tendulkar debuted in pakistan, when he was like 16..played SO much more cricket than lara, yet still could only pass the highest run aggregate in tests when lara retired..poor fella.
Who cares about 2 records lara got.Sachin got a Hundread more. And it's not just about having higher average,Lara himself knew what he lack compared to Sachin. He is completely an attacking player. He just didn't knew how to play in a defensive manner. But Sachin could attack when and he also knows how to play keeping wickets. That's why he is still on top.
@ashwinmssuv boy all of sachin records have come with accumilated things such as most matches....its very easy to say if lara had played the same amount he would of had more runs or more centuries....what you cant discount is 375, 400 and 501 not out because tendulkar has played more than enough matches to have done it....then u say lara dont know how to play defence? you have to be crazy
@desmondandrade He's not a waste; He played two not so good but decent innings - 56 and 91 runs. Thats okay considering what most of the other batsmen were doing.
@rc2869 You saw Bradman in his pomp did you? Always amazes me when people claim to have strong opinions about someone who played before they were born. How do you know what the standards were like back then? All I would say with any confidence is he was the best batsman of his era by country mile.
@annedrodgyness I have never seen the Amazon River but I know it's fucking big,in fact it is absolutely enormous. Or am I not supposed to have and opinion on that either. I have met a person who was there the day Hollis bowled him out. I'd take his and Richie Benaud's opinion ahead of the amateur pundits like you. Just under a hundred is his average in Test cricket - no-one has ever got near it. Lara's 400 not out was a fantastic achievement. And I also seen him play for Warwicks a dozen times.
@rc2869 The Amazon is measurable. Standard of cricket is not. I'm not sure what you mean by your "amateur pundit" remark. The only punditry I offered was my assertion that Bradman was the best batsman of his era and I'm sure Benaud and I are in agreement there. The fact is no one will ever know how Bradman or Lara would've done in different eras. Far too many immeasurable variables. On another note, I am quite jealous that you saw Lara play for Warks. Must've been quite something!
@indiajag1 if he has played almost twice as many games what do u expect? that is like saying kallis has more runs, centuries, and half centuries than sobers.....asked youself this question....when tendulkar batted in his 232 test innings how much runs he had?
@MultiSazam dude compare their averages....lara in test 52.88 and lara in odis 40.48 while sachin's test average is 56.25 and odi average is 45.16.....
@indiajag1 so in otherwards you are telling me kallis is better than tendulkar also since he has a better averge in both forms of the game....remember you cant have double standards here....
@toxicgamer95 hey i wasnt even talking about him....but some dickheads start comparing lara and sachin in every video...and i was just replying to that particular person who was writing shit about sachin...nothing else
It's not about how many u get, it's about how and when u get them. Sachin Tendulkar is entirely different type of batsmen to Brain Lara and i don't say that one of them is the greatest, because each of them got phenomenal record and will be remembered for a long time as far as cricket history concern.
Was lucky enough to be there that day... Saw home score the last 80 odd or so - utterly spellbinding for me to watch this again! If only the vid went on another 20 secs you'd see 2 little oiks run on to congratulate him. I suspect I'll never be on the news at 10 again!
@CrazyCamera1 sachin is no.1 ... even bradmen said that even lara said that... sachin is 37 still better than anyone around 25 at his age.. he is the true genious of cricket and god of cricket..hayden played under a good batting side.. lara has never done well in oddi and bradman never played in this era
@CrazyCamera1 i don't wanna argue man.. if as anyone ..8 out 10 people will say sachin is the alltime best even an aussie.. there was survey on aussie newspaper ..even aussies people said sachin was better than bradman.. bradman never played against wasim aram or mcgrath or any good fast bowlers.. he played with some county english team.. all his record aginst them..
why every lara video has to turn to a lara -tendulkar debate? both have done things the other have not done.... someone below said sachin could score 501 well that would never happen in my view considering he has never 250....you have to have real endurance and be scoring at a rapid rate to score 500.. lara scored 372 runs on the last day of the mtach
I think lara was better because he played in a much weaker side for most of his career, a lot weaker than any side tendulkar has played in and has 9 double centuries in test cricket what a legend.
Is this the famous inning's where Lara nicked it to slip or the keeper and he was dropped. Then either first slip or the keeper said something like..... geez, he'll probably go on and make a 100 now. haha
Or lets see Lara get near a double in ODI or maintain a career average 56 over a span of 20 years besides staying as the team best batsman without encountering a form slump or score 100 International hundreds ! No chance.
I was being a tool too , I agree they're both legends in their own right !
@vickyr9909 i think you are a cunt when making comparison btw these two legends look at the team they played in idiots sachin is the greatest lara is no different
@vickyr9909 If I comeback, I should definately be able to push my test average towards 60, as I, am technically and mentally, a stronger player now, than I was in 1994 or 2004, where I got 375 v poms and 400* v poms, I am ready to comeback this year, god willing, I am still a great player, despite the different opinions from around the cricketing world. I love the West Indies more than ever before!!!! rally round the windies!!!!!!!!!!!!
@vickyr9909 Hey Just consider that when lara played for west indies, wi was a no team, he was the only good batsman, he has single handedly won matches for Wi remember 153 no vs australia , Tendulkar has never played a knock in which he has single handedly win a match, yes he could have in 1999 at chennai vs Pak , remember, but he was out when india needed 36 runs to win. Lara was a finisher.
Lara is a champion even though he played for an average side like WI for a good part of his career. No one took on the bowlers like him.One of my two favourite players for sure.
@asisrout1988 Yeah, thanks for that positive comment. Would you like it if I came back and played for the West Indies?! I bought a new cricket bat recently as well, lol ;)
Robel.. every Lara & Sachin comparison is praise is. almost always accompanied by an almost apologetic suffix, just like the one you have "Lara/Sachin both legends...
Its unfair... LARA is a BIG BIG Legend.. his only peblem was consistency.. there can't be another Sachin.. but there surely will take a hell of a doing to create another Lara too... i feel he was bit overshawdowed by Sachin who played in the same era
Where do you get your footage from - I have NEVER seen any kind of footage of this apart from the final ball, then you come out with all of that. Respect to you.

@CrazyCamera1 sachin is no.1 ... even bradmen said that even lara said that... sachin is 37 still better than anyone around 25 at his age.. he is the true genious of cricket and god of cricket..hayden played under a good batting side.. lara has never done well in oddi and bradman never played in this era
sachinrameshtendulkr 9 months ago
@sachinrameshtendulkr bradman died when sachin was like 26
so stop talking shit.
bradman is altime best best best
tendulkar comes around number 3 or 4
CrazyCamera1 9 months ago
@CrazyCamera1 i don't wanna argue man.. if as anyone ..8 out 10 people will say sachin is the alltime best even an aussie.. there was survey on aussie newspaper ..even aussies people said sachin was better than bradman.. bradman never played against wasim aram or mcgrath or any good fast bowlers.. he played with some county english team.. all his record aginst them..
sachinrameshtendulkr 9 months ago
@sachinrameshtendulkr when tendulkiar gets a batting average of 99.98 il admit hes better but atm hes on like 68

@CrazyCamera1 Matthew Hayden was great, no doubt, but I would put Viv Richards ahead of him.

why every lara video has to turn to a lara -tendulkar debate? both have done things the other have not done.... someone below said sachin could score 501 well that would never happen in my view considering he has never 250....you have to have real endurance and be scoring at a rapid rate to score 500.. lara scored 372 runs on the last day of the mtach
MultiSazam 10 months ago
u got the full footage of the 501*?

I think lara was better because he played in a much weaker side for most of his career, a lot weaker than any side tendulkar has played in and has 9 double centuries in test cricket what a legend.
CFAN123 11 months ago
@CFAN123 thats the most reasonable comment when judging these to legends

Is this the famous inning's where Lara nicked it to slip or the keeper and he was dropped. Then either first slip or the keeper said something like..... geez, he'll probably go on and make a 100 now. haha

Respond to this video...Yep thats the one! Poor fieldsman.

@kidbyers thats true....

Or lets see Lara get near a double in ODI or maintain a career average 56 over a span of 20 years besides staying as the team best batsman without encountering a form slump or score 100 International hundreds ! No chance.
I was being a tool too , I agree they're both legends in their own right !
vickyr9909 11 months ago 19
@vickyr9909 Agree!

@vickyr9909 Tendulkar had a slump after the tennis elbow . . . This video is not about him.

@vickyr9909 i think you are a cunt when making comparison btw these two legends look at the team they played in idiots sachin is the greatest lara is no different
johnpaul340 10 months ago
@vickyr9909 If I comeback, I should definately be able to push my test average towards 60, as I, am technically and mentally, a stronger player now, than I was in 1994 or 2004, where I got 375 v poms and 400* v poms, I am ready to comeback this year, god willing, I am still a great player, despite the different opinions from around the cricketing world. I love the West Indies more than ever before!!!! rally round the windies!!!!!!!!!!!!
manomogul 8 months ago
@vickyr9909 its coz lara didnt play as much as sachin, end of story

@vickyr9909
lara played a lot less games man. Tendulkar actually took more innings to get passed Lara's total TEst Run scores. What do you think that means?
cyrushanleone 7 months ago
@vickyr9909 Hey Just consider that when lara played for west indies, wi was a no team, he was the only good batsman, he has single handedly won matches for Wi remember 153 no vs australia , Tendulkar has never played a knock in which he has single handedly win a match, yes he could have in 1999 at chennai vs Pak , remember, but he was out when india needed 36 runs to win. Lara was a finisher.
I consider tendulkar nowhere near Lara...
aliahmadmalik9 7 months ago
i love both of them but when it comes to winning matches i will pick lara over tendlukar

Dont underestimate sachin he might do it if someone can score 200 in odi game after 20 years he can also do this too.

Robel.. every Lara & Sachin comparison is praise is. almost always accompanied by an almost apologetic suffix, just like the one you have "Lara/Sachin both legends...
Its unfair... LARA is a BIG BIG Legend.. his only peblem was consistency.. there can't be another Sachin.. but there surely will take a hell of a doing to create another Lara too... i feel he was bit overshawdowed by Sachin who played in the same era
