  • ok what is 50,000 dollars to the city of new york as to shutting down the city because streets arent plowed. think of it really hard, sure there was different ways to go about gettting the construction vehicle out but 50,000 dollars aint shit

  • shuuuut tha fuuucckkk up mannn yall kno the city is gonna pay for it your own fuckin taxes and the guy is prolly gonna get fired for cleaning the fuckin streets

  • R u people complete morons. What u just go around beliving everything u see. The car that was destroyed was a Official City Car. Thats y they were told to just get the FEL out. If it was a civilians car that would have never happened. MORONS

  • What a set of complete tards.

  • That orange machine is a value for that neighborhood. It can´t be stuck there. They have to get it back in business. Clearing the roads. There might have been others ways of getting it free but they have chosen the fast way.

What I really don´t get is way is that camera man is talking ? And why is he saying "O my god" all the time ? What´s up with that - is he a retard or just and american ?

  • Why don't you drive the Front end loder

  • They get paid to do a job that's thanks enough. I hope after this those two workers don't get paid at all and get sued into the poor house.

  • 2 dislikes... 2 drivers?

  • Whether it was Union motivated, or simply tacit approval from the Mayor's office on his ongoing Crusade against the mobility of cars in the city, the aftermath of NYC Sanitation's indifference was death. I'm sure people died waiting for the ambulance, waiting for the cops, maybe even waiting for the Fire department. Initially, scores of plows were observed with nary a grain of salt dropped. At the rate of the last snow fall, it didn't take long for the snow to stick. Thanks Bloomberg.

  • Umad bro

  • New Yorkers so stupid.

  • I guess they heard their pensions funds were bankrupt

  • I CAN believe they are THAT stupid. Malicious sanitation workers and tow truck drivers. Maybe bloomberg can send them off shopping & to a broadway play next time it snows.

  • I do volunteer work in several needed areas of life. If a person is free to smash into cars because they think they "deserve" thanks for what they do, will you each of people who are praising the sanitation workers then admonishing the public for not appreciating what they do....will each of you please line up your cars in a neat row so I, and every person who does great service for people, can smash the holy crap out of them? Oh, and then PAY me for it? The sanitation workers were PAID for it.

  • Everyone bashes the operators trying to clear the street so maybe a emergency service vehicle can get through or a ambulance if the machine was left stuck people would bitch why did they leave this truck in street because thats what this city is made of complainers and god forbid some yuppy scum is inconvienced ......i dont agree this was exactly the best way to do this But .... they cleared the street nobody died my question is Why does some pig use a City vehicle for his personal use ????

  • @ratrod426 Dude, you say it wasn't "exactly the best way to do this" Seriously? Not the "best way"? It was selfish, stupid, infantile and verged on pathological insanity. And then you go on to say "Why does some pig use a City vehicle for his personal use?" Where exactly did you get that the car was at that moment or at any moment prior to that for personal use? Maybe he was given the car by his employer and left with the burden of having to park it himself. How TF do YOU know?

  • Sanitation workers are referred to as Strongest not Finest. The NYPD is the Finest :)

I seriously don't know they didn't at least try to dig out the area around the backhoe first before attempting this idiotic maneuver.

It is funny though, that is unless that was your car, then it sucks until you sue the city for jillions

  • my boy kevin shouldve gone out there and slapped one of them retards hahaha

  • I am a city worker nd sometimes u find urself in a situation like this one damn if u do nd damn if u don't. However these guys were totally reckless nd should be accountable for their actions becuz their city union workers they won't get fired but I say hit them were it hurts their pockets take vacation days nd suspend them nd I bet that won't happen again.

  • this was by far the funniest video ever.

  • ROFFL!!!! so fucking funny. I wish it was my car.... oh and btw it was a city suv

  • @h2beg1 I didn't know that, guess there won't be any lawsuit then. So that means taxpayers will be footing the bill for the repairs LOL

  • How about using the tow truck to get the cars out of the way first!?!?!? Don't think that these guys are heros for clearing the way for an emergency that never happened. How about putting chains on the front end loader in place. Throwing sand down for the loader to get traction. How about not putting the loader in that position in the first place. NO THESE ARE NOT HEROS!!! They should be the two newest additions to the unemployment line so that two more deserving people can have jobs.

  • @c5drvr

Good for you. Well said. I agree completely.

  • @HogKiller2008 lets just put it this way. your family needs some emergency vehicle and a snow plow just a block away hasn't cleared your street yet because it got stuck just like the one in the video. then will you care about anyone's belongings getting in the way?

  • @HogKiller2008 Wrong

  • And for the record beatnik, NYC's Finest are the Police, Sanitation are NYC's Strongest. Dork.

  • YOURASSic park in the CITY

  • Fuck that SUV! If you wanna make an omelet, you gotta break some eggs bitches!

  • Listen to the know-nothing, loud mouth taking the video. What a piece of shit that guy is.

  • ITS BUSH'S FAULT

  • @paulja66 LMAO +20 cool points

  • @jdpaul100787 you're an idiot. You wouldn't thank the guy at the restaurant who spit on your burger would you? He was providing you a service. You may have an important job, but if you don't do it correctly, it negates the importants. Wouldn't you say?

  • @wsall6666 you are comparing apples and oranges. those people are making a safe environment for people and it is there job to make it happen. don't bring up unrelated situations like restaurant food service to compare clearing the way for emergency vehicles.

  • but, i guess thats y i joined the military.. to defend freedoms like ur speech. so u can go around talking about what an idiot this guys is.. your welcome

  • that would have only taken a few hours which the loader would still be paid for.. but how would that be paid?? ohh yeah thats right... your hard earned tax dollars. now how do you feel about the situation?? a lil different im sure. u just had to hear a comment from someone who thinks a lil different then u liberals. if u were in those shoes im sure u would have thought long and hard about what needed to be done instead of getting the job done right then and there.. way to go.

  • do u guys really think that since these guys r such blue collar and must not have much brains that they were really thinking they could flee the seen afterwards with that many ppl watching and yelling. you guys r the dumb ones. they knew what was gonna happen trust me. it had to be done. what else did u want em to do let it sit there till the snow melted (which im sure is still there). or maybe they should have waited til a backhoe was available to dig out around the loader??

  • that just shows out and out stupidity!

  • @Marcstang04 I know Marc!!!! How STUPID of them to value human life over 2 parked cars by dragging a vital piece of municipal equipment out of the heavy snow so that it can clear the streets, making room for essential service such as Police, Fire, EMS and Rescue service that are not designed to operate in 2 FUCKING FEET of snow. Those 2 gentleman operating those vehicles need to be disciplined harshly for caring and placing a value on human life. SHAME ON THEM.

  • Where is his union superviser standing by to watch, there are usually 3 or 4 others standing around getting paid to watch one guy do a job????

  • I also do snow removal in a front end loader bigger then that in Delaware as well as other equipment.. like said before. all you lazy ppl that sit inside during a snow storm would prolly shit a brick if you had to go outside in a blizzard and push snow. but your r very quick to complain wen u cant get somewhere cuz of the snow. let me re-itterate whats already been said once the first contact was made the damage is done.

  • wow.. i guess since this video aired on cnn first its mostly liberals that are responding. hence the reason for these liberal mindset on some of the comments being made. the operator could have done a better job getting out but in order for that loader to come out that day with out the vehicle being moved (which it wouldnt have by the way since there was so much snow on the ground) there was gonna be contact to the vehicle. trust me ive been operating for a long time..

  • The SUV that goes........CRUNCH!

  • Those are CITY vehicles, clearing CITY streets. Now imagine the whiny beatnik filming this, hanging out of his window not because of a tow truck moving a front end loader but because he has smoke and flames 10 feet behind him. "OMFG Where is the FDNY? I need to be saved. If only someone had the foresight to move that thing so it it could continue moving snow off the streets as well as not preventing the firemen from getting into my building!" I hope all of you morons catch AIDS. Seriously I do.

  • This is just an intentional and complete lack of regard for someone's else's property for their own immediate convenience. Most people are insured, of course. That is not an invitation to be careless and destructive. Wrong is wrong, and this idiot ought to be fired for many reasons.

What has happened to common sense? Doesn't seem to be too common anymore. Kudos to the fellow videotaping it; he can help the owner sue.

  • @elsangrecaliente But he won't be fird, city unions are very strong. And the fact that this annoys you makes me happy.

  • Comment removed

  • @joefoerster

I am sincerely sorry that you consider me a moron. I very seldom put a comment on youtube that is not positive. However, there are many ways to rectify a situation that just a little comon sense will proffer and just continuing to bang into the other vehicle-whosever's it is--in nonetheless irresponsible and unconscionable.

    Have a good day.

  • when someone down the road needs to rush to the hospital and the snow plow gets to do his job and clear up the road i'm sure nobody is going to thank the tow driver for making it possible for emergency vehicles to get to their destinations. the crushed cars will surely be paid for by the city. THANK YOU TO ANYONE WHO IS ON THE TOW TRUCK AND SNOW PLOWS SIDE FOR SEEING THE BIG PICTURE.

  • @jdpaul100787 Any one who thinks these guys have a clue, it clueless themselves. This damage, all could have been avoided with a little common sense and understanding on physics, as in where to hook the chain. The person driving the front loader has NO CLUE how to drive it, I would bet they have never driven one before that day.

Big Picture? The only "Big Picture" is someone with some brains & common sense should be doing this job, not these morons.

  • @scott5690 did the problem get solved? yes it did. did anyone get hurt? no. are people going to be able to use this road in the case of any sort of emergency? yes. if you were one of the people snowed in, who had somewhere to be, i'm sure you would appreciate this. between the city and car insurance the damage will be compensated.

  • @jdpaul100787 And nobody got hurt? How do we know that person isn't going to need his/her own car for an emergency? And how do you also KNOW they will get compensated? I guess you've just had DELIGHTFUL interaction with your insurance company and are free to spout about their generous nature. It's your kind of thinking that, put into use by "the city and the car insurance," will translate into a case of NO ACCOUNTABILITY. Hopefully for the car owner they're not that irresponsible. Hopefully.

  • @scott5690 You are so right. Patting these guys on the back for clearing the street for emergency vehicles and admonishing the public for not "appreciating" what they do is moronic. Every single person who thinks sanitation workers deserve "thanks" (other than a presumably generous salary), take your car to them and let them do exactly what they did REPEATEDLY to these cars. That should serve as a WONDERFUL act of gratitude. Seriously, save the coddling and over-praise for children, not adults.

  • @jdpaul100787 Kinda easy to say when it isn't your car....just saying

  • @jdpaul100787 Don't be stupid. Doing a job so you can be thanked by the public is just an infantile concept. You are thanked by BEING PAID, remember? So you do the public a service? This means you have the right to say F*#K you to the public by smashing into a car OVER and OVER? The "big picture" you say? The big picture is the workers have the power of choice just like anybody else. They chose to SERVE THEMSELVES by smashing the holy Jesus out of a car just to get their vehicle out. Pathetic.

  • Good job whoever the truck's driver is, you just crushed my ex-girlfriend's car :D

  • Typical government work. great job guys!

  • @yobigface I know right? Making sure the job gets done regardless of whiny beatniks bitching about nothing.

  • I understand its the end of all humanity ......but remember they are simply the only chance you all have to go anywhere after a storm. Somtimes...shit just happens

  • I see no problem with this. I drove plows for 20 years, In order to clear the roads for emergency vehicles as quickly as possible, Property damage was usually not even a consideration if it would keep the plows from doing their job.

  • Stupid blue collar dumb fucks who don't give a damn. I hope they get fired.

  • @scalabration But they won't. And the fact that this annoys you makes me happy.

  • @scalabration

Remember this the next time you need to get somewhere and have a nice , freshly plowed roa to drive on. It was the blue collar df's who went out in that weather to clear the way for you. Spoiled rotten people who have no respect for a hard day's work and what's really important. It's not some shiny SUV that can easily be replaced.)

  • There's no need to make a huge scandal out of this. That's what insurance is for.

  • @BlackWaterAgent Yes there is. It's that kind of attitude that allows people to think they can shirk responsibility for their own actions and that someone else will follow them around and clean up their mess!

  • @BlackWaterAgent True, plus there is evidence that it wasn't the owners fault too

  • @BlackWaterAgent

No... of course not... I mean it's just OK to wreck someone's car with total DISREGARD because... they have insurance?! Why didn't I think of that before?? I guess it must be ok if the owner of the car tracks down both those idiots and beats the sh*t out of them because... they have health insurance!

What kind of planet are you from? Just when I thought I had seen the two dumbest idiots on the planet, here you come to show me that dumb can get even dumber...

  • @aust1ndud3 Then what should be done? Start a facebook rage page? March for days on end? Riot? Lawsuit that'll captivate the nation and shake the world?Get real. I had an old lady back into me and didn't realize she was backing into me until she saw she was going nowhere. Did I make a big fuss about it? No, we just got the insurance involved, the cars fixed and moved on. Give me a smarter idea of what the owner of the car should do other than cry foul to the media Mr. Wiser than thou.

  • At least it was videotaped. maybe the driver will be able to get that fixed for free.

  • Man I bet when you openned that window I bet you were freezing.

  • at @2.00

you can hear the owner of the car screaming

  • @luxvr they could have shoveled the snow.... thats fucking dumb as hell

  • @luxvr they cpould have shoveled the snow.... thats fucking dumb as hell

  • okay dumb, but what else they could have done ?

  • Luckily, his doesn't happen in the civilised world.

  • For those that think this is the tow truck drivers fault. GTFO. Can you not see that he is sliding on the ICE that is under the snow???? He is doing his job and if some scumbags would not have parked in teh STREET there would have been no problem. From now on if these idiot s want tehir cars dug out I suggest tehy get a shovel and do it themselves.

  • @MegaMouseSEC : were exactly are people supposed to park? The guy driving the truck could have easily figured out this wasn't going to work. The angle at which he was trying to pull the truck wasn't going to work. He has a job to do, I understand that, but don't defend stupidity.

  • what a bunch of dumbasses

  • so funny :D

we haven't so much snow bcoz i life in germany :D but this is really funny :DD

  • freaking ignorant bastards!

  • ahahaha wtf never seen something like this before.coz iam life in germany.

  • Your Mayor Bloomberg tolerate this thing to happened. At a press conference, Mayor Bloomberg said anyone who suffered property damage should file a claim with the city. That is very simple to say because your Mayor will use Public Fund-Peoples Money to pay damages.. Every action done by the NY City Officials is the discipline and reflection of their Mayor. Very poor leadership with this simple situation. How come, when it's big situation. Think New Yorkers.

  • @seabees848 Well that's likely because cities do typically self insure or retain insurance for this type of situation...they'd be crazy not to. If Bloomberg told people to file a claim, I suspect it's to process an insurance claim. My point is that some public funds ALWAYS are set aside to deal with claims against the city...so it's not as if the city will be taking funds away from something they weren't already assigned to. The real issue is, what will be done to prevent this in future!

  • The day is coming when the Public Sector will be in for a serious overhaul, because it's one thing when the services themselves are not competitively provided: it's quite another when public service means so little to those performing it that they take this little care with the property of the public they're supposed to be serving. When public jobs become recession-proof, and public employees STILL show so little care, it suggests that public service has lost it's way!

  • Subconsciously, city workers feel a sense of guilt having received so much benefit for so little work, (6 figure pensions at age 55). This forces them psychologically to project their guilt onto the very tax payers that pay their salaries!

When you hand out unearned benefits, the recipient will eat you alive with ingratitude! You can see it right here in this video by this city workers psychopathic disconnect from care, concern & empathy for those that pay his salary - the tax payers!

  • @sugarpuddin88 Sorry, but you seem to have contradicted yourself there, and so I don't know what you're saying! I mean, how can there be a subconscious sense of guilt present whilst, at the same time, there is a "psychopathic disconnect from care, concern & empathy?"

  • @sugarpuddin88 Are you talking out of ur ass ? Sanitation workers dont even come close to getting a 6 figure pension. And how are the benefits a sanitation worker gets "unearned" ? He/She spends 20+ years on the job lifting tons and tons of garbage everyday, and clearing the streets from snow storms year after year. If anything they deserve more ! They are hard working men and women. And this one idiot doesnt represent them all.

  • I'll bet: 1- both drivers' bosses think that hiring cheap labor is better than hiring experienced drivers. 2- both drivers get raises for this (and since snow removal is 'taken care of' by the city, doesn't this get paid for by taxpayers?)4- the poor SUV owner will have to file a complaint with the city, only to get the runaround, & probably won't receive full compensation, even though there's video proof & several people yelling at them to stop. Good ol usa.

  • Dont worry folks you can all breathe a sigh of relief it was only an Explorer that was destroyed.

  • its an accident people...we had a lot of snow accidents happen ..nobody needs to be fired...!

  • @mddarch2 An accident is something that is unexpected- at best, this is negligence. Now the reality is that at this point, I don't think any of us really know anything about this particular employee...so calling for his/her head is a little bit premature. But yes, if they have a track record of this kind of behavior, I think that firing them would be appropriate...just as I think it would be an appropriate remedy if they themselves did not report this incident!

  • If these two guys do not loose their jobs, remove all NY elected officials.

  • Comment removed

  • @joefoerster Cannon fodder is an informal, derogatory term for military personnel who are regarded or treated as expendable in the face of enemy fire. The term is generally used in situations where soldiers are forced to deliberately fight against hopeless odds. The term may also be used to differentiate infantry from other forces or to distinguish expendable low-grade or inexperienced soldiers from supposedly more valuable veterans. So, I see your statement as cannon fodder in this discussion.

  • I saw this on Yahoo lol :)

  • i live on long island lol ofc city drivers!

  • Am I out of my mind??!?!

  • sorry, my bad. a little too much egg nog the night before.

  • are they out of their mind?!
