  • Global warming is a lie.

Greenpeace should get back on track and quit ruining their image with such stupid actions.

  • I think I heard about this but when I see this I get sick to the stomach. I was mad when they did this to the House of Commons in Ottawa now this flaky freak from Belgium repels down the Calgary Tower defacing the landmark with a sign "Separate Oil from State". I don't like my landmarks being defaced and I don't like talked down to by people who don't even lift a finger to make an honest living

  • Wow What a Bunch of Fags WHY WOULD YOU HANG THAT SIGN IN A PARK !!!! Try a Exonmobil Building

thats the problem with extremist they don't Use there Brains they Just act out :(

  • greenpeace sucks!

  • Read the emails

  • Greenpeace are mere pawns of the puppets.

  • You morons... its not littering, they took it with them when they left. You should be nailed on the head with a sledgehammer like a cow in the slaughter house because you sound like cattle. (minus the pro-greenpeacers) you missed the point big-time.

  • Once again, this was SATIRE. Also, they didn't take it with them when they left, since they "left" in police custody, having been arrested for trespassing and tinkering with the security systems in place. I didn't miss the point at all, I sympathize with their point, but not with their method of making it.

  • AGREE WITH YOU ALLLLL THE WAY

  • one of the guys that did this is my friend, and i just recently found out about it. went to elementary and middle school together, saw him not all that long ago, think he is facing some jail time now :(

  • palindromepictures thnaks for posting this, I do think you may have missed the point somewhat, this is about all of us trying to save our home..

  • I completely agree that global warming is one of the most important issues we face. This video is simply meant to be satire on the method Greenpeace chose to promote this cause. I sympathize with the cause, just not using illegal means to promote it. I think there are more productive ways of raising awareness for global warming.

  • I hope that the park sevice installs some motion detectors and or cameras. These guys could have never made it too the top let alonetoo the faces.

  • Good - these jerks endangered themselves and ruined the day for a lot of people. Hope they go to prison.

  • i agree with belmont. i think your response is so lame.... you really think this is littering?? i'm sure they picked up the banner. get over it.

sometimes it takes drastic action to get the attention that is needed on matters that are being ignored by decision-makers. One thing is clear: we need Obama to step up and be a leader on climate change. if it takes a little bit of banner dropping to get there, then let the banners drop!

  • I am not upset about 'littering'. Again, this video is satire. The big concern is how this demonstration was made. Peaceful protesting is all well and good, and climate change IS indeed an important issue that needs to be addressed. This, however, was a publicity stunt, wherein a group of volunteers trespassed and intentionally damaged security systems to delay response time. The same point could have been made with an organized protest or demonstration...

  • ...that stayed firmly within legal limits.

  • And, although it was satire, and I was joking, it actually was littering, if you really wanted to split hairs. The banner may have been picked up, but it wasn't by the Greenpeace volunteers, since they were in police custody, having broken the law.

  • STFU you moron - these GP azzholes deserve a few years in jail.

  • I think everyone seems to be getting the wrong message about where I stand politically. If this were a political video, I would have put it under the category of "News and POLITICS". As it stands, this is a piece of satire, examining ONE organization's actions. The notions that I somehow do not support the environment, or do not feel that global warming is a worthy cause are entirely untrue. Quite the opposite; I just think there are more effective ways of furthering these causes

  • Exactly what my point was! Thanks for the vid response and this video in general.

  • My pleasure, and your video as well.

  • I just dont see the big deal here. Big deal. So they scaled the mountain. So a guy jumps from the Empire State Bldg with a parachute. So somebody gets caught on the crown of the Statue of Lib. Big deal. It's funny. It's amusing. It's thought-provoking. But it's quite a bit short of "an outrage" or "a disgrace", etc. But for bored bourgeoise Americans on their High Horses, I guess there's not much to talk about but these things.

  • I agree, it's not a big deal. This video was made mostly as a joke. I also agree that Mt. Rushmore barely qualifies as a 'monument' (although the end of North by Northwest at least justifies its existence, since it gave us an awesome climax to a terrific film!). I think Greenpeace's heart is in the right place, but I simply fail to see how there aren't better ways to make a point. This was an amusing, but unnecessary, and pretty thoughtless stunt.

  • the big deal is that you can't stop Global warming. The Government just want to tax us to breath and take more freedom away from the american people.

Buck Ofama and all of Government.

  • I completely disagree with you. I think America is a bunch of cowards, to make a big deal about a "national monument", like the stone carvings are GOD or something. A banner isn't litter either, as you say. America is "Law Happy". They should arrest Bush and Cheney, not Greenpeace.

  • As I said in the description, this has nothing to do with politics. I think you and I share similar political views, but I also believe that there are more effective, and less invasive ways of promoting what - as I said in the description - I feel is a worthwhile message. I agree with what Greenpeace does, but not how they do it. I agree Mt. Rushmore isn't much of a monument, but there were people there today who traveled to see that monument without a banner on it.

  • Let's see.... Global warming threatens to destroy modern civilization (or at least severely disrupt it), but you're concerned about ... what? ... a banner on a monument for an hour?

You must be one of those moronic ideologues who cannot see past the latest episode of Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh.

  • Again, this video was made to poke fun at what I believe was a wholly unnecessary method of raising awareness for - what I agree - is a very serious cause. My point is that Greenpeace - like PETA to a certain extent - is an organization whose heart is in the right place but who often goes to extreme measures to promote their cause. Plenty of other organizations have been able to raise awareness for the same issue with peaceful, harmless protesting.

  • Glenn Beck for President!

    Global warming is a scam!

    Fuck Greenpeace!

  • He knows the definition of 'ideologue,' but not of 'parody.' There's one born every minute.

  • The park service should have cuffed these morons and than thrown them off of Mount Rushmore.....Obama is no Lincoln, never will a marxist be allowed to have a memorial in this country. That is my opinion and I will stick to it. It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with character and integrity and he has neither.

  • Obama is a Marxist? That's your opinion, and it has NOTHING to do with reality. Obama is a capitalist, and you're a buffoon.

  • Obama is a Socalist!

  • Whats a socialist?

  • And you are a moron....lol...god I love to twist the head of liberals....it is so much fun!
