I played Pssst loads. It's easier if you put the needed cans directly above one another, put unwanted ones on the top shelf. Get rid of wasps first, then the bugs and then the slugs (catterpillers?). Wasps try to land on you, bugs drift quickly and slugs drift slowly so are easily avoided. A white picture of a frog comes up in the flower centre after you complete so many levels. Also, I think growbags just increase the points.
For its time, a great game and I spent many happy hours playing it.
I'm not 100% sure but I think I read somewhere that the loading picture was designed on graph paper and then manually translated to hex for typing in!
What is it about the Spectrum that makes it (seemingly uniquely) have colours bleed from one object to another when they pass near each other? It would have been considered one of its flaws I guess, but it's now one of the qualities that makes me feel nostalgic whenever I see Spectrum videos. It's what makes Dizzy on the Spectrum superior to the more colourful Commodore version for me. I guess the answer to my question will be on wikipedia... I should check there before asking here.
I am actually scared of wasps, too, in real life. I can't stay sitting down if one decides to join me at a table, which is apparently hilarious. They always want my drinks and food for some reason, not the ones of my friends at the same table. And no I'm not drinking lemonade and eating ice lollies - they just love my blood I think.
It's worth checking out on my emulator. Just trying to find how to do it is the problem. I stuck with the awkwardness years ago and got used to the keys. I can't wait to play Lunar Jetman.

30 years ago. lol! Not far away from that. Glad you and your daughter enjoyed it. Beware of some of my other videos because of strong language etc!

That sounds about right. You can't beat the old graph paper when it comes to dealing with colour clash.

I get stressed watching people play this game.

Maybe it's a good job I didn't get far on the wasp level then. You would have found it a lot more stressful.

Probably, yes.

In some emulators I think you can alter the key maps - so you could map qwert to your preferred combination ?
