  • e un vigliaco.. he is a coward, and i believe that the evacuation management was error. I was working on board of costa concordia, Schettino was my first commander. He has a good personality, kind person, but he is not too strict as a normal captain. Maybe, this accident was a pure human error or an fuckin insurance fraud. Better to have a strict CAPTAIN on board than a kind captain.

  • @Stronzy89 [...] for save his life. This actually demonstrate how you are inexcusably wrong, and every single word of your thesis is genuine in its dumbness. You're no more allowed to post any further comments as they are only confirmed by your ass. Have a nice day!

  • @domnic0 @domnic0 I'm really getting sick of your dumb and ignorant behaviour. Try to get informated as I do, before coming here and give an incomprehensible FALSE version pf the story. Right today the "corriere della sera" has divulged an article that talk about a phone tapping made by police while he was at police station on january the 14th. He actually admitted with his interlocutor that, right after the ship was leaning, he climbed down and run for sa

  • @Stronzy89 Source, please?

  • @Stronzy89 I already said that De Falco said "dovevo chiamare il procuratore. Cazzo!" BEFORE he spoke to Schettino in his FIRST phone call to him.

  • @domnic0 In this case "I had to call the prosecutor" is equal to "i should call the prosecutor". HE'S NOT fucking dialing the wrong number as he was flipping through Yellow Pages, JESUS. "Hello this is De Falco" - "De Falco?" - "Yeah...I would like to talk to the prosecutor, could you please put me through?" - "Err....This is Schettino, you've probably dialed the wrong number..." - "Ouh, Schettino, I heard of you on the tv. Can i give you orders? It'll be fun!"

  • @Stronzy89 Listen, I never said that he dialled the wrong number. All I said is that HE SAID he should have called the prosecutor BEFORE he spoke to Schettino for the first time. This means that he was BIASED against the captain of that ship from the start, which explains his bad treatment of Schettino.

  • @Stronzy89 If he meant to say that he had to call "even" the prosecutor (or also), he would have said, "dovevo chiamare anche il procuratore". He did not say that.

  • Even if he fell into the lifeboat... Why wouldn't he get out of the lifeboat... He did state it was a hour after he fell in that it was finally lowered to the water... This man is a cowardly idiot, end of story.

  • @adarastar Where did you get that information that he fell into the life-boat an hour before it was lowered?

  • Captain of the Coast Guard of Livorno, Commander De Falco HERO TRUE HERO

  • From what I heared here it seems that the captain and his officials fell off the boat when it tipped on its side? Seems like the captain said that close to the end of the conversation.

  • @domnic0 Yeah, he "Fell Off" lol

  • @DarkAnima270 Aahaha, you're right, that's actually a bad excuse for explaining why he's down on the lifeboat (or maybe on mainland yet, who knows!!) and not on board. I hope that my translation is clear enough on this "disputed" fact. It was pretty hard to render the tone of this point of the conversation. I'm sure you got it :)

  • Captain of the Coast Guard of Livorno, Commander De Falco. should be given medal of honor

  • @AnneTigerTinkBen No, De Falco was disgraceful and abusive. He was insulting and demanding unreasonable questions answered. The ship had about 4000 people aboard. It is unreasonable for ANYONE to COUNT the number of women, kids and people needing assistance. Yes, Schettino was not on board and said he fell off, but it was obviously impossible for him to get back on the ship when the rope ladders WERE BEING USED BY THE PEOPLE TO GET OFF.

  • @domnic0 Are you serious? He didn't fell off!! That's a dumb excuse for being down, safe, in the lifeboat (infact he firstly admit to have abandoned the ship!) He willfully infringed the law 1097 of "Codice della navigazione" that impose that you must be the last one to leave the ship. He shouldn't even be DOWN ON THE LIFEBOAT! Come on! De Falco has the duty to take care of passenger and crew that mutinied! That's not matter of being reasonable. This was his fucking duty.

  • @Stronzy89 He issued the decree to abandon the ship, since he is its captain and it is his duty to issue it when required, so the passengers and crew can begin to get off, but this does not mean he also was going to immediately get off.

Your reference to mutiny, ie. "mutinied" does not belong in your statement, since it does not make sense.

  • @domnic0 YOU CAN'T JUST TELL PEOPLE TO GET OFF!?! You need to give orders on how it's supposed to happen cause like you said... there were 4000 people aboard!! plus it took him over an hour to order evacuation. I'm sorry but I can forgive making the wrong turn, I can forgive poorly conducting evacuation but lets just forget that he's the captain for a sec, how are you a healthy middle aged man getting off the boat before children, women, pregnant women and the disabled?! in wheelchair?!

  • @domnic0 what do you mean it's impossible to make a list cause there was 4000 people aboard? How are we supposed to know who's alive and who's dead? of course it would be hard for him to get back on the ship! people were waiting for orders from the capt, only they never came and it's only when the ship ended up sideways that people started to panic to get off. But the captain wouldn't have had to worry about how to get back if he had stayed on the boat, did his job, and left last.

  • @theLadyRouge When the boat leaned over he fell off. He said he was coordinating the evacuation and I doubt all the officers were off the ship, so he may have been in contact with them during that evacuation. The phone call did not contain all the information of what was going on and De Falco was more interested in insulting Schettino then in getting the people off safely.

  • @domnic0 one last thing... how would you react if you were miles away from a situation of crisis and you're on the phone with the person in charge who's actually there and supposed to communicate what's happening to you BUT INSTEAD is asking you how many people are dead? That's just down right ridiculous.

  • @theLadyRouge De Falco had a ship off the bow of the boat. He did mention that in his phone call. When De Falco mentioned there were bodies, Schettino naturally asked how many. Schettino was not happy with downing the ship and in people dying because of it.

  • @AnneTigerTinkBen By looking at the newscast video of that tragic night can be seen that the rope ladder De Falco wanted Schettino to climb was full of passengers decending down it. I invite everyone to look at that footage. De Falco also referenced that this ladder was being used by the people to get off in the first phone call to Schettino and that he "ordered" Schettino to use it to climb back onto the boat. NOT POSSIBLE WHEN HUNDREDS TO THOUSANDS ARE USING IT TO GET OFF.

  • @domnic0 it's a rope ladder so I don't think that there's hundreds coming off at once. the captain could've yelled out his intentions: hey! I'm the captain of the ship. I'm trying to get back on. I'M HERE TO HELP YOU AND GET ALL OF YOU BACK TO SAFETY. Please make way so that I can get back on.'' I think people would've stopped for a min and let him on. Not only did he not lead this but people who wanted to help like the maire of the island spent 30 min looking for the cpt! Waste of time

  • @theLadyRouge From a video of people getting off of the ship during the night can be seen a rope ladder holding many people. I am guessing about 25 to 30. I did not count. Look it up, you will see it.

When there is chaos, it is difficult to manage the general public through hoops of danger till chaos has passed. Imagine asking 25 or 30 such people to climb up and wait descending to safety, so you can climb up. Not probable.

  • @AnneTigerTinkBen LOL YES THEY SHOULD
