I always hear about directions being great but when I used it mine faded really quickly, I used poppy red over bleached hair (only bleached to orange) and within 1-2 weeks it was back to nearly orange, and my friend used violet (I think) on unbleached hair and it faded completely in less than a week, I've used it other times as well over dyed unbleached hair and it didn't even tint it (which was what I was going for), like literally even in bright sunlight there was no difference.

How long does Stargazer stay in your hair and does it fade out 100%? Because I've used directions once which I had to bleach a few times to get the colour out and I don't want to do that to my hair anymore. But I felt like adding some blue into my fringe, just for a few weeks tho. Would you recommend that?

@RunningLibertine I dont think any will fade out 100% unless you left if for months and months. But im not an expert. It would fade alot though with lots of washing x

Really helpful vid! I live in the Netherlands and the only brand they sell near me is Directons, and I'm really happy about it too :3 I've tried Flamingo Pink, Violet, Turquoise and Lagoon Blue so far, and they all turned out well on my unbleached dark blonde hair ^^' Guess I'm just lucky. Great video for people who don't know what brand to use. Thanks! c:

@Reprisethatsme Im not sure hun. You need to bleach it so its a veryy light light colour. Other than that I dont know sorry it takes different to different hair types x

everytime you change your hair color, do you bleach it?? or do you just wait until the color has faded to put on another one? n if you do bleach it doesnt it damages your hair too much?

@HeyEmilyStrange It depends what colour you put on next for example if you had pink and waited for it to fade you could get away with just straight adding a red based colour like purple or red. But it it was a blue based colour you might have to re bleach. Some colours do faded out completely tho so that ok :) x

I really want the hair color you have now..but sadly my school is not okay with 'crazy' hair colors..just all natural hair colours.

so for now I have black red and pink hair..all by directions apart from black..school doesnt mind that for some reason..cause flamingo pink and pillar box red are obviously natural hair colours D: i dont mind sure..

Great video :D really helpful :D I was wondering if you have any advice.. my hair is naturally curly/frizzy and its currently dyed black. I've always wanted blue hair but Im scared it'll look crap with curly hair :S plus Im scared to go too light a blue I'd porbs wants a dark blue. any advice? do you think a bright colour is bad with curly hair? x

@AidenBfmv My hair is naturally wavy/curly/frizzy. And I wear it both curly and straight and both look nice. Just make sure you look after it well and conditon your hair lots and keep it moisturized and it will be fine :)

Did you have to like bleach it before you dyed it.

I was thinking bout buying the stargazer hair dye just because I'm not looking for anything TOO permanent in case I end up looking like a clown lol, but my hair is like really really really dark brown and I'm worried the colour won't show up so vivid...

@AGiraffeAteMyDog My hair is naturaly dark brown so yeah I have to bleach it to a light blonde for the colour to work. If you put a bright colour over your dark hair it wnt really do anything, you will just get a tint when the light shines on your hair x

if you go swimming or whatever on holiday wil a noticable amount come out.. i'm going away soon and i'm considering dying my hair a bright colour (from directions) :) xo

@LauraS16xo Im not 100% sure sorry hun, when I go in the sea I dont think it matters cause you cant really tell in the water. But when | go swimming I just try not to get my hair wet. Your hair will leak colour especialy for the first 2 weeks but I have found that after like a month not much dye leaks out

i've used directions coral red and rose red and have found that they just cause too much of a mess staining my pillows and clothes around the collar, do you have this problem?

@theresnonameslefttt The first week of having dye in I usual get a little bit of blue on my pillow but its a dark pillow and comes off easily. I dont get it on my clothes though. Maybe thats just with the reddy tones x

my hair is dyed blonde like a pale really pale yellow, and i want it white, will it go white if i use stargazer white colour? maybe use it once or more than that to get it white? i saw on there webste that it can be applied to dyed hair,....

also, with the directions colour, do they do white? and wheere do i get it? i live in manchester, uk
