Tom and Jerry was my favourite show when I was little. I used to always watch it, and I noticed something those fans didn't: Tom and Jerry can't live without each other. They care for each other more than it usually seems, and when they discover their hidden feelings, they make a great team. That's what this movie tried to capture from the original T&J. It didn't ruin anything, it actually made them look nicer to me. The later movies (including Karateguard) are the things that killed T&J.
