  • ford should come out with a new boss 429 not a 302

  • Beautiful car

  • Hemi !

  • @MCGRABI SEMI HEMI

  • I watched this and I jizzed in my pants!

  • same as my dads but he has lamans stripes down it and the strips like the new boss 302s

  • THis car sounds like a bunch of wet farts. There's far better sounding 69 mustangs out there

  • @Urbanfire123 That's the sound of a big block with an off idle power cam in it. That sound is perfect for that engine. This isn't a Honda CRX, mate.

  • So that's what 5 mpg sounds like...

  • @punchmaster123 does it matter?

  • why do i feel like i just cheated on my wife ? that car is sexy

  • beautiful!

  • 1969 Boss 429 aka sex on wheels.

  • uy que hijo de puta... la envidia me esta matando

  • That car is so damn sexy I just wanna fuck it lol

  • this car kicks ass like a BOSS.

  • Dude is running rich

  • So So sexy. My uncle had one I wanted it. But a damn mud slide took it out

  • Christopher Kringle! That's a badass pony!

  • if nothing else the engine just looks badass, like the 427 sohc.....

  • No replacement for displacement.

  • brub brub brub brub brub brub bruuuuuub brub brub brubbb BRRUUUUBBBBBBB

  • What I don't understand is that the Boss 302 will sell for 5 times the amount of the 429. Why would you spend more money on the lesser car? Anyways, nice Boss 429.

  • Hey, Richard Petty was there!

  • This is pure SICK!

  • nothing better than a V8

  • isn´t impossible to hate...i hate it

  • I am a GIRL and the 429 makes me jizz in my pants.

    Dream car much? Yes sir.

  • If I could have any Mustang ever, it would be the Boss 429 for sure

  • if i had to start it up like that to race, the race would be over before i got started lol j/k, it looks nice

  • Now THAT is a car

  • This.. is my dream car.. talk about YUMMY! mmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • Got a sexy ass 429, then a good 302 next to it. and a good Camaro across from them.. gotta love American Muscle!

  • @roush158 you and me both

  • DAMN that thing sounds likme a damn race boat holy sh*t! mean

  • im not lying at all when i say i would do ANYTHING for that car

  • I love the Cobra, almost owned one back in 71, an AC cobra with 289, who cared? It was a real one, anyway, never rode in one. My buddy down here has a Cobra, with,,,,, ready? The 429 cammer, which is an overhead cam engine, outlawed in the race circuit, can only be bought in a crate, had an 8 foot long timing chain, and is bad.. He has another one still in the crate, his retirement, he says. Paid $3500 for the engine in 68!! You could buy a T-Bird for that much.

  • The fastest I have ever been in a car, picked up hitchhiking in Atlanta, down I-75, 165 MPH, Let me out! Some chick driving, and we were white knuckles, no seat belts, no cops, just go,go,go. I kept peeking over at the speedo and she would giggle, only 165, tee-hee. Why do people want to show off when they pick you up? This was about 1972? The car was fairly new, but it shook like a cammer.

  • BEASTLY. i want this car. also my first car, an 86 tbird, with the same motor/trans combo.

  • Althought my dream car has been a NSX since I was 7 years old, I would feel better driving around a '69 Boss 429 for the rest of my life. There's nothing in the world like old American muscle.

  • FOR SALE!?!?!?

well, i better call up the bank and ask for a $400k loan

  • i love you boss 429

  • We want one, or maybe 2... lol.

  • this is the next mustang ford needs to come out with in 2013!!!

  • sounds like BIG cam

  • Aww... always the same shit! Everytime i watch some Volvo/BMW/Mercedes adds i end up watching mustang vids!

  • amazing!

  • I would sale my thumbs for that car.

  • Lord, have mercy. Look at those taillights.

  • love that car!

  • This video cost the owner 8 gallons of fuel... and was worth every penny.

  • My favorite Mustang of all time (maybe tied with the Terminator)

  • I don't hate, just don't like....

  • 67impala to the side

  • i would trade everything that i have and live in that car

  • LOVE THIS MUSTANG!!!!!!! My dream car!!

  • I came...

  • blub blub blub blub.. pfffff.zzzzz.. blub blub blub ..fssss

  • This is one of the best sounding cars I've ever heard!

  • clearly you see here why mustangs are america's number one restoration project of choice and not to mention the car most sought after from collectors abroad.Mustangs are really odd cars when you think about it, theyre both ugly and beautiful. I liken mustangs to actress Micheal Rodriguez. shes not a barbie doll yet she got that 'something' that makes her insanely hot! and better than the rest. And if you think about it, picturing her along side this car just... works!

  • youtube.com/watch?v=-sjqir7YzVQ

    Another Mustang startup.

  • Reminds me of a old Mustang startup...P51- Mustang that is.

  • Without a doubt, the finest Mustang Ford ever produced. I'm not a huge Ford fan but you have to admit, the '69 Boss was one beautiful and powerful machine. Even the Mopar guys have to take their hat off to that year's Mustang..(as much as they hate to admit it- and yeah- I'm a Mopar guy, lol) Fair is fair- and the '69 Boss was in a class by itself.

  • cobra jet. all that needs to be said

  • now thats a fucking beast cam o love the plate too!!

  • Bad to the bone.

  • cars are like music, they were better in the old days.. nice boss 429 btw..

  • @swedishv8 nicely put

  • @swedishv8 not hardly performance wise the 2012 honda civc is capable of out running almost any 60's muscle car. back then u were lucky to get 300 hp from factory now the cheapest 2012 mustang has as much hp or more than the boss 429 in 69. muscle cars today may look like shit, but under the hood they will out perform and outlast ANY classic muscle cars of old.. though i will admit aint nothing sound better then a classic streight piped big block

  • @91Gh0st In Europe, if you compared a new car to a car from the sixties they'd look at you like you're nuts. Time has moved on. You shouldn't compare new muscle cars to old ones. You should compare them to similar european and japanese cars to see where you stand performance wise.

  • Damn, nice mach1

  • Im a chevy fan but god how I love the Boss

  • the hemi is not far superior by any means only to GM models definatly not to ford. GM had horrible seasons for allkinds of racing back in the day. the boss429 was only meant to be a new nascar engine since the new 385 series came out in 68. and yes the boss 429s do have aftermarket support. you can buy boss heads and put them on standard 429/460 blocks. just not what you think. for the money you can build a 460 stroker to beat the boss

  • my dreeeeam

  • Funny how Hemi's ate these up like candy!

    Nice car BTW!

  • @kanukster boss 429 is a hemi engine

  • @AngryAmerican009 Semi-Hemi boy! This was not a true hemispherical combustion cambered engine!

  • @kanukster the street boss 429 was a seriously detuned engine for the street. now the nascar Boss429 raped gm and the "hemi" in 69 70 and 71 nascar seasons look at AL JONIECS boss 429 drag cars

  • @428GT500KR Oh,please! I'll be the first to give credit were credit is due, but facts are what they are. The street boss was only pushing out under 400hp,(375 adv.), tuned it was slightly higher. The start of the 69 Grand national season was a good one ford, until the 'winged' cars came out. Ford pulled their support out in 70-71. These were Dodge day's! Petty switched over, Buddy set a world record of 200+ MPH (closed coarse). Dodge/Plymouth went to town on ALL comers. Winning both yrs.

  • @kanukster holman-moody prepped talladega B9s comp-proven. 69-70and71along with third sixth places with other teams. just like chrysler said before in 73 in a press release"if it werent for fords talladega there wouldnt have been a superbird in the first place, the charger 500 wasnt doing the job" you, if you dont like ford than why even talk shit or look at these cars in the first place? your just another random that dont know history fords 100+ plus years in racing history world wide. CREDIT?

  • @428GT500KR Who said I disliked these cars? I'd give my right nut for this Boss! I'm not hating, I'm just saying...credit were credits due! The Hemi was far superior. After market goodies were abundant and NOS parts were cheap. The same can not be said about this engine. Very limited production. 71 saw Petty win 21 races! Ha! Ha! Ford knew the Chrysler hemi was so good, they built this engine to compete. To little to late.

  • @kanukster the 426 hemi was getting wrecked by the 440 six-pack even the 440 with a single carb. the ford had always had engines beating the hemis no problem. fords 427 tunnelport got out lawed by nascar and the baddest engine of all time the 427 cammer again outlawed by nascar because of crys by GM and dodge. the hemi isnt what people make it out to be. the superbird was the best sanctioning body chrysler had ever made and yes it was damn sucsessful. ford beat hemis no problem.............

  • @428GT500KR Hemi LO23, Super stock Dart/Cuda's are still the raining champions of all time Muscle!

It's nice that you're advocating for the 440. Yes it was a formidable threat. Not to just Hemi's, but all comers. It was bargain priced speed for the masses. The six-pack A-12's where some cool rides. Oh, BTW, what 440 magnum was a threat to a Hemi car?

  • @kanukster see theres where i will disagree on that sorry man. fords 427thunder bolts/ fairlane427s/ 428CJ mustangs 68 winter nat champions. 428 CJndSCJ1969-1970 mach1 mustangs/ the boss 302 nd boss351 mustangs/ 65nd66 SCCA 289 hipo gt350s the vette beaters./ you could buy the 427 cammers. even the pokey 390 GT/A nd GT fairlanes were bad cars. 427/406/390hipo galaxies. "i have one". comets/ cyclones. and the le-man king 427GT-40. ford had it all over chrysler nd GM.it is what it is man.

  • @428GT500KR WOW! You sure through out alot of names and models,(all nice cars) but your detracting from the argument,(LOL). The all time king and still the current record holder for S/S is the Hemi! Not a semi-Hemi, The 426 HEMI! You also mentioned speed parts for the Boss 429. I was referring to back in the day when these muscle cars were daily drivers. Now, sure speed parts are plenty but for the Boss back then, it was limited to few if any. My old boss has a #10 429 Cyclone! Nice car.

  • @kanukster back in the day weiand made intake manifolds for the boss 429. you could also buy cams form crane comp lunatti and others. holleys were of there own with people then. although D-port boss heads were better for drag racing. it was just a matter of changing intake/carburetion and cams for the Boss429 thats all and it was popular. it could scream to high RPMs. oh yeah ford broke and held many S/S titles. worlds first 7 sec super stocker was a rare 494 CJ headed ford stroker.

  • @428GT500KR Now your just getting silly. Your making up facts and straw man arguments to fit your delusions. Lunati was not even a company in the early 70's. D-port heads where not available over the counter. They were factory issued items only.(i.e. race teams like Tasca...) As for the S/S record of sub 8 sec.? The fastest Hemi's these day's are just now reaching, barley into the low 8's! Besides, your only 25, this shit is above your pay grade!

  • did some work on a 69 Boss9 today........

  • This car looks much better then 1967 Shelby. Its awesome!!

  • I would do some sick unforgivable shit for this car

  • okay, i'm geusing that since this is the 40th BOSS 429 Build, this bad boy may even have the rare ''S'' code engine that ther very first Models had, then.

Later Models had the ''T'' code engine wich was an engine made specially for Twisty Roads like Trans Am, Later Engines, the ''K'' Engine was made out of aluminum block and Headers, reducing the Weight.

  • @pershing22 lunatti was a favorite with ford guys in the 60s. you could buy dport heads or putty or weld the bottoms up abit. im real big into vintage auto history i know my stuff its alright man.

  • Why can't modern day cars sound like this? Everyone wants to be quiet nowadays. Gotta love that roar.

  • de puta madre!!!!!!!!!! masina asta !!!!

  • I want one.

  • Comment removed

  • nice i got a 429 sittin and a 302 in my 65 f100

  • I might not have the best car but I will keep it until I get too old to drive it... (you can see my car else where in my channel)

  • @alexander1485 This IS the best car.

  • My parents are fags for not buying this car....if I lived in their age I would have got myself one of these

  • one of the sexiest cars ever built

  • i love all the mustangs of the era,but the styling of the 69-70,both coupe and fastback, was best looking to me.

  • @IwontConform i agree man cuz my dad had a 1969 mustang mach 1 and still has it till this day and he has pictures of him when he got it in 1972 and now he passed it on to me and it has a 390 in it with borla exhaust, borla had to come out and get the measurements to put it on. its a british green racing color with golden racing stripes on it, its very sweet and i love to drive it to high school like my dad did, cuz YOU GET ALL THE SEXIST FUCKIN LADIES in the school. so just wanted to tell ya

  • this is for me, the best looking mustang, i own a '67 fastback gt

  • that heavenly sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • To all those watching who were just a wet spot in 1969 and 1970 .In those days Mustangs were just like easy hookers you could have them any way you wanted .250 cube sixes 289 v-8 then 302 .351 windsors 351 cleavelands Boss 302 Boss 351 then there wee the 428 and 429 in both regular Cobra jet and Super Cobra jet -- All for less than the Price of a piece of shit Kia today -- actually less than half .And all those combinations could be had with a manual or an automatic.

    Cars are crap today

  • "Weren't " the next Hudson Hornets

  • And then there was the ZL-1 427 which basically made the cobra jets an instant favorite for boat builders!!!! Face it Ford built pretty and pricey and just never held their own unless you were a factory backed racer. Carroll Shelby was a god and likely the only reason fords were the next Hudson Hornets of their day:-)

  • better then viagra!

  • the best of all 4 passenger cars.finest looking, running vehicle.close second to the greatest of all cars, the shelby cobra roadster

  • 8 people wont admit to touching themselves when they watched this video

  • question, if there isen't a such thing as a Super cobra Jet, then whay Engine did the '68 Shelby King of the Road had then?

  • @pershing22 there is such a thing, those GM fanboys have never used google before or know anything about their opposition.

  • @alexander1485 is there a 1969 Shelby Cobra Jet GT500 KR? I have seen one in person and i have pictures and it has been signed by Carol, and the car is valued at 150K, but I've never seen or heard of anything like it.

  • @alexander1485 There is such thing as a 429 SCJ.

Had them in some Mach I's.

  • @gibsonlespaul2

the 1971 Mach 1 was the Only Mustang wich was available withe 429 SCJ.

I beleive the other car was the torino, but i am not sure...

  • @ThePanzerWarMachine

68' Shelbys had them too. It's a damn shame that the owner of this video says there no such thing as a 429 SCJ.

  • @alexander1485 their just pissed because shelby scooped them on the king of the road KR. designation.

  • @alexander1485 =) comment like.

  • @pershing22 My 71' Torino cobra had a SCJ.It is a drag pack car too.

  • @pershing22 are you illiterate?

  • @pershing22 Whoever says the SCJ didn't exist needs to update their knowledge of muscle cars

The Ford Super Cobra Jet had a 4-bolt main, a 780 Cfm 4bbl carburetor,11.3:1 compresson and a rather large mechanical camshaft.

It came out the same year as the Cobra Jet in 1968, the difference between the two was the SCJ had different Pistons, Crank & Connecting Rods. However the top-end remained the same.

Saying the Super Cobra Jet doesn't exist is sheer stupidity

  • @DieHardChevrolet

And to Top that off, the 427 SCJ was also placed into a single '67 Shelby GT-500 wich was specially made for a tire commercial! 427 SCJ's were also available in Mach 1 and '69 GT's, And in '71 the 429SCJ was also an Option.

  • @pershing22 428CJKR fastback and convertibles.... SCJ428 had dragpacks and 3 dealer optional cams f70 or f60 tires bias

  • @pershing22 i thought the GT500 had a 428 and the GT 500 KR had the cobra jet?

  • @pershing22 YES THERE IS,,,1969 429 SUPER COBRA JET,,IT CAME IN A RARE OPTION IN A TORINO GT,FAIRLANE 500 GT. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE WAS THE SUPER COBRA JET 429 USED A MECHANICAL CAM/LIFTER KIT. THE LASH SETTINGS WERE HARD TO KEEP IN TUNE. BUT IF IT WAS TWEAKED RIGHT,,WAVE BYE-BYE TO THE SHITENLEAVITLAY!!!

  • @EXTIQUE

you could've told me that with-out using the Caps?

and i thaught that the 429SCJ was only available in '71

  • @pershing22 Who the fuck said there isnt a SCJ? Kick them. Our 71' torino was a 429 SCJ drag pack car and was badass. Its gone now though, damn the economy.

  • @slingblade1991

ooh, i like the sound of that! presonally i'd go with a '72 Grand Torino Sport in Green wich a Laser stripe.

either wich a 351 Cleveland of a rare 400 Cobra jet.

  • oh yea, for all of those people (that are too lazy to look up info for themselves) that think there is no such thing as a Super Cobra Jet... go to 428CobraJetDOTorg

  • how much are they in english pounds

  • I think i just peed a little...

  • A car to instantly fall in love with... It’s just THE perfect mustang in my opinion... And guys please forget plastic Eleanor... ;-)

  • ill have to look into these more. from what ive heard the 429 super cobra jet was pretty junky compared to the 428 cobra jet. had no idea there was a BOSS 429...

  • @sebastianthecool is there such a thing as a 429 super cobra jet? wait there was, but only in 1971.

  • @alexander1485 there is no such thing as a "super cobra jet" only 428,429 cobra jet and the 428 and 429 were both low on power for their size. the 427 cobra,on the other hand, was completely different and had no shortage of the good stuff!

  • @corvettkiller666 yes there was. Recheck info.

  • @alexander1485 428 Super Cobra Jet in 1968-1970? and 429 Super Cobra Jet in 1971

  • @corvettkiller666 This is the last time I will tell you.... there was a 428 Super Cobra Jet and a 429 Super Cobra Jet. End of story. Go to google.

  • @alexander1485 ...but i only said it once...and there was a super package you could get that gave your engine more power. on the 428 it was new connecting rods, pistons and i think a new crank. on the 429 it was a bigger carb. i almost bought a boss 429 in 1970 new but we all figured that it was gonna flop and not be very popular so i bought a truck instead...big mistake!

  • @corvettkiller666 it was a package that if you ordered it, you got the rear axle and the engine package but there are some rare exceptions where someone only got the axle but not engine upgrade.... because the Super Cobra Jet package added so much it was considered a package instead of a mod of the Cobra Jet.

  • @alexander1485 rear end was never on the options list for any super ive ever seen! ive been on my way to buy a gran torino,a boss and a galaxie and i never saw a new rear end on the list of parts added on. but im not going to argue with you anymore because you seem like the kind of person who always has to be right.

  • @corvettkiller666 go to 428CobraJetDOTorg

  • @corvettkiller666

wasen't that pretty familiar to the 427 Police Interceptor? That engine was an Option for 1967 Shelby GT-500.

  • @pershing22 the 429 or 428? there were a few different 427s

  • @alexander1485 Hello, There is no such thing as a super cobra jet. There was a 428 & 429 cobra jet. The car in video is a rare Boss 429 which has a hemi style cylinder head. they were only found in 69 & 70 mustang's and only about 500 cars were built each year. Making the Boss 429 a rare and high dollar car if you find one original. The 427 SOHC is even more rare and more expensive. Stepdad is a big ford nut.

  • @sebastianthecool lol the boss 429 are very rare and actually ran better then the shelby gt500's with the "428's" in them. I believe not too long ago, i think either hotrod mag or someone ran a test which included the hemi challenger, boss 429, rat olds and big block camaro or the same era and the boss 429 came on top in almost every performing category if not all! I was surprised that the hemi didnt do as well but this really was a piece of muscle car history and one of the rarest to own now!

  • Sounds a lot better than those cars with stupid flowmasters!

  • @teslaphysics they didnt have mufflers back in the late 60's early 70's

  • @teslaphysics it sounds better because it probably aint got mufflers at all

  • @teslaphysics 'Cause it sounds like that because of a high performance engine, and not a stupid muffler... Any engine can be loud, but not all can actually sound good.

  • @teslaphysics flows sound great man... especially the 1 chambers. i hope you dont think borla would suit itself better on a classic big block. they sound wayy too generic and deep. kind of like a stereo with no treble if you know what i mean

  • @need2speed94 I know everyone has their likes and dislikes. I don't know what Borlas would sound like on a Stang. Its just everyone has Flowmasters now days, sure they sound good when pullin r's down the strip, but I just like the way they sound when idling. Its like a hollow can, far away sound. Thanks for your input!

  • @teslaphysics really? haah most people i know are looking into magnaflows and borlas. which i dont doubt can create more HP than flows but i cant get over the sound of flows ^__^

  • that thing must have a real free flowing exhaust, it sounds just like a jet boat and they got V8s runnin just headers

  • so thats what 150,000 bucks look like wow it looks so mean whatchout for those civics lol

  • Ah my first car was a 1969 mustang fastback. I bought it for 200 dollars

  • @dirtygirl145723

    you lucky bastard

  • Ahhha the sound of enviromentalists popping....

  • not a sexier idle in the world

  • @Cazilboy13

there is the cobra 428 jet that sound pretty fucking amazing

  • еееее

  • sex, this car is pure sex

  • so amazing

  • Thats a FAR from stock motor. 292 at least.

  • Yup ford built these cars so they could run them in NASCAR the cars were avg over 200mph only made them a few years till they outlawed the motors in NASCAR but there is a guy who makes the boss 429 heads that will fit a normal 429/460 blocks will make up to 700hp + on pump gas :)

  • @blazen162002 correct sir! I make 735 hp on pump gas (93 octane) with a smallblock FORD all motor, with no power adder, with 12.42:1 comp and 438 cid (Dart block) TFS Hi-ports. Most engine builder says it can't be done. It makes nearky 1.7 hp per cubic inch

timing set at 30degrees total advance and idles at 850 rpms, efficiency at its best!

  • wtf man that thing sounds like its got a damn mean cam in it i couldnt imagine livin in the 60's and hearin shit like this from factory cars!!!!

  • thats not a orginal boss mustang sorry...

  • @crook925 uh, there were 2 original boss mustangs (429 and 302)... unless you mean a racing version or something else?

  • @alexander1485 wrong

  • @5769JJ I'm talking about for the street, not non street legal drag cars
