@lunchboxbandits The boxes are pretty tough so the box wasn't damaged by the hammer. The metal on them is thicker then most tool boxes.

@explorerprotocall They are army surplus. They may have been used in live combat, for practice, storage, transportation case for 50 caliber ammunition or anything the army decided to use them for. When the army feels that they aren't the quality they need anymore or if they have surplus that they can't use they sell them off.
