The whole idea of playing honest music hundreds of times is completely wrong to begin with. It's main purpose is to express yourself, but when the purpose becomes to make money with it, or get famous with it, while you don't really feel like doing it, you kind of start corrupting yourself.

I guess most famous artists just numb themselves so much that they do it anyway. Especially once all eyes are on you, the contracts are signed and others depend on you to perform.

It must be pure hell.
