Freddie was very much gay. He had 2 women in his life, and about 500 men. And those two women were rather just close personal friends and soul-mates. And he dated boys as early as his high school days. I think this "bisexual stuff" was only made up because it still sounded better for a rock singer in those days, than being gay. And anyways, he was a great singer and the greatest frontman in rock history. Who cares if he was homosexual?
@neonknights....Pls refer to my last comment on the previous pg.
I don't think Freddie cared ab wh 'sounded better' re: his sexuality or anything else. True, it was kind of an androgynous time, but if his girlfriends were just for 'show,' leaving ev to Mary was pretty convincing & blows that theory out of the water!
But, you're certainly right ab Freddie being the greatest ever!! And whatever he was (gay/bi) matters not an iota to ppl like me who adore & revere him forever.
@vesidude So, you're saying he was 'a little bit bi'...sort of like 'a little bit pregnant'?? lol Freddie loved at least 2 women, but he dated & had relations w/ lots more, so ya, that pretty much covers the definition of bisexual. And don't forget, even after he began w/ men, he still went back & forth. As he described it, he had a "wider sexual appetite than most ppl."
Anyway, who cares, it's FREDDIE!!!!! He could like squirrels, for all I care! He's still the greatest EVER!!!!!!!
Totally awesome is QUEEN. Even from back in the late 60s when they were college buds playing ORIGINAL rock music at frat parties, local pubs & whatnot...in fact, QUEEN is the ONLY rock band that can boast that ALL 4 members are actual college graduates, majoring in music which, explains THE GREATEST ROCK BAND OF ALL TIME. Sorry but, it's true - the Stones, Zeppelin, Boston, Rush - you name 'em - NONE of them can compare to the virtuosos that are QUEEN!! Only the Beatles can MAYBE come close!
@dougr944 That's a cute answer, but Freddie had many girlfriends in his lifetime, and I'm pretty sure that if I'd met him we could have had a wonderful time together. He's my kind of guy!
@Kanajle88 Freddie Mercury was definitely Bi, and had his share of relationships with women. You should read the biography on his life, which means he definitely would have been interested, and I know that Freddie would have been very easy to fall in love with. He was a beautiful man in every sense of the word and he went both ways. LOL.
@ettertje01 yes, but as a singles they are separated. "Flick Of The Wrist" is B side of "Killer Queen", and "Lily Of The Valley" - of "Now I'm Here". And "Flick Of The Wrist" had been performed on stage, but "Lily Of The Vally" never. Unfortunately!
well, i don't care about Freddie's homosexuality or bisexuality. All i know is that is was genius ;)

Outside of Hendrix, just about the greatest example of guitar layering technique, in the studio ever, recorded! The ending is simply brilliant!

Right two different songs without a "pause"between them.

Flick of the wrist and lily of the valley are actually 1 track on the album.
There is no break between them but a brilliant "overflow" into eachother.
(sorry not english)
