HELP ME HELP HELP HELP ME, it's a famous sung line from a house track, was everywhere for while ,sometime in the 90's, tried all pemutations and all i get is some insipid christian sludge. the line is " U GOTTA BELIEVE IN SOMETHING, Y NOT BELIEVE IN ME" chicago accent male sings it, plz whats the dance track called????
@bryngOneOn That track your looking for is an aa track from Jonny Vicious called believe this. It was on his own lable Vicious Musik around the mid 90's. This is the best use of that sample to date.
@MooksMusic changed by email address so going thru some old utube replies i didnt know about, hence the 8 month delay to say thank you for replying and knowin answer, on the subject of johnny vicious do u know anywhere on line i can hear his "don't leave me this way remix" never cared for the orig but his remix was special, esp as he had the balls not to use the songs main vocal, if u know or have to upload, eternally grateful, thanx again for ur reply
I did an epic 20 minute mix with this and Smokebelch I at a chillout party in '94 - instead of mashing out on the sofas it had everyone back up and bang on it. Brings a tear to my eye - those were the days....

david holmes is my godfather... and the night before i was born he finished this song ! the first CD was given to my parents as a Birth gift in a sence cause they were with David the night before i was born when he finished it... that was 1988 !!!!
Sabres of Paradise "ripped" the melody too from somebody else. It was originally a beatless ambient track by LB Bad called the "new age of faith" off his True story of House EP ( see my videos).
homer rocks, especially in the full white suit/shoes

No worries. I didn't actually read your message properly! The track is BY - "Fierce Rulin' Diva"
One of my most fave ever. Frank De Wulf played a version of it at Eclipse in 92! One of the best mix tapes I ever owned.

Released in an era that included "London Xpress", "Song Of Life", "Dark N Long", "De Niro", this kicks ass.
Sundance by Sundance ? Doesnt even come anywhere near.
oneofthecrowd 1 year ago
@oneofthecrowd - that was the era of the original "progressive house" sound - best time for dance music outside of the summers of love ('88-'89).

This is lovely. Makes me want to do a double drop and sit back on a tropical couch. Wonderful.

The original tune was released in 1993 but you are telling us that David did the remix of it in 1988? You are a clown.
