i learned to paint observing and practicing a lot, self thaught.

i also talk to other artists to see how they work.

i would have liked it better if you didnt use the tape tho. i think it can make things look a bit clinical or sterile even. its only my personal opinion, but i much prefer the hand painted look....

but i really do like the design and colour!

at the risk of sounding like a wanker, i just wanted to offer some free advice from someone who has been hand painting straight lines for 30 years. all im saying is that ''it is possible to get perfectly straight lines after time'' (with the right brushes).

its also quicker, cheaper and easier if you get used to doing it this way this way on a regular basis.

i do really like your work (but you gotta admitt there was a lot of tape there) lol.

hello, this is regular canvas, but i paint it several times with white paint, the same i use for my murals and walls, before i start to draw. i use artistic fusains to draw and this particular work i used acrylic paint.

i'm a photographer and have done several process videos of artists...i'm always amazed by people devaluing work because of what they think they can do, or worse, what they think their kids can do. Most of what juila anus would think of as 'masterpieces' can easily be duped and have been sold as forgeries. Contemporary art lives today, i like the colors and the shapes and respect your technique...nice work Svein !

as YOU well know, one doesn't need to be a chef to know when the steak has been burnt. You might have the 'sensitivity' (easily offended) of an artist, but your grasp of english might not the best. My comments merely address your fans who heap lavish praise on average art.

I didn't say it's not nice, but realistically - even my 15 year old can think up shapes and colour them in. Who can argue with shapes? You simply made it really easy on yourself. How ingenious & challenging? Ha!
