No, counts for nothing. Look at Darling's history as a student etc. They don't change their spots, they just have a shave, put on a suit, and pretend to have changed.
Same agenda, different faces! They like to make us think they are at each others throats, be it politicians or their parties however, behind the scenes they are very friendly! He who controls public information controls public opinion...ie corporate media. "Damnation without investigation is the height of ignorance" - Albert Einstein
As far as I'm aware, the only compliment I gave Darling was that he could construct a sentence. You make some very good points though, especially about the media!
No have a go - The 1980s recession began in the first quarter of 1980, and lasted for four quarters. The unemployment rate at that time was 5.8%; it did not return to that level for 20 years. From the third quarter of 1990 onwards, the economy recorded five successive quarters of negative growth. In the second quarter of 1990 unemployment was 6.9% and did not return to that rate for seven years.
Well, he's more coherent than Brown, if that counts for anything.

Thankyou :) Don't worry I wasn't 'having a go', merely putting the information out there for others to see too :)
