Remember that I beated this game as a kid. Didnt pass Butter Building because I was as scared as possible for Mr Shine and Mr Bright. Thinking about it is funny though. Nightmare Orb was a race against the clock. Yeah... This is how you play Kirby's Adventure.

Tip with Nightmare battle, the best way to defeat him without taking damage is simple to jump into him (spin), notice if you're at one end of the screen nightmare will either go to the other or 'feign' gliding to the other and stay, because the weak spot is directly beneath him.

Anytime I used to fight the guy back when I had this + my NES you'd kill him in half the time and take no damage just by spinning right into the weak spot.

On top of that I loved the way they made Dedede help Kirby, as well as hide the fact that Dedede broke the rod, not to torment the place, but to hide the thing from Nightmare to begin with, and the way Kirby gives Dedede a wave as he decends after the fight.

The fact that if you don't kill the nightmare orb in time after Dedede launches you means you'll die // crash to earth was also very cool. Loved this game when I was younger.

That's one of the main reason why this is the greatest Kirby game of all time.

It was actually pretty spectacular for the graphics of the system. The parallax backgrounds in particular aren't something you see in many Famicom/NES games.

In the original NES version of Kirby's Adventure, melee fighting is more effective than using the star attacks. In the GBA, it's tthe opposite... LoL :P

Ya know, your fighting this really inefficiently. I always got close to DDD and sucked in both stars when he jumped and did alot more dmg. And for Nightmare, meleeing with the star rod does about 2x damage than just shooting.

Its kinda sad that nintendo had to use some of their older games on gameboy advance just to make the gameboy advance "cool". Like all the mario advance games, they were all on the nes and/or super nes. Any way nice gameplay when I first played it on GBA I had a hard time seeing him, because I never had enough light.
