Hey mate long time no comment. I ordered my first and possibly only weapon 1st february, it is now 5th february.

The item shipped within 7 hours from their store and to USPS. As of now I have not heard any news in over 69 hours ;(

I understand if they don't ship on sundays like we don't do here, but the last time I was updated was when it left their sort facility in transit to the destination.

A weapon is no more dangerous that the user or owner of it. Anyway anyone buying your first carbon steel weapon (don't matter which) I recommend buying a maintenance kit/cleaning kit too so they clean off the old oil and add new oil to the blade. Of course read the intriguing or watch a few videos for guidance before hand.

tell me ... exactly how much training do you have in katana? because if you had any then you would know that there is oil on the blade for a reason, to keep it from rusting that and you bring the sheath to sword other wise when you are using it the latch indent system inside the sheath will wear down and you could cut youself very easily

Word of advice, Never touch the blade of your katana with bare fingers..it will rust your blade quicker, also don't wipe the oil off speacily not with a T-shirt microfibers in the material will sratch the blade. The oil is there to stop the rusting and should be reapplied often if used alot. You can buy a speacil kit for this.

@DemonTraven No matter how exspensive it is you should still treat it for what it is " A sword". Practise early. For example I'll not bother to turn the lights of my cheap Ford Escort.. I'll start to care when I have a Rolls Royce. But practise is a start of a bad habbit. Not having a go at you but think about the philosphy behind it. :)

@vandegevel1 baby oil also works, it is the same as oil used in kits you buy online, the only difference is it is scented. Works for my friend he has used it for 7 years+ and only used 1,8 bottles and have no rusted blades.

I can't remember his brand, but Im gonna use Natusan as it is cheap and 400 ml lasts a long while with only 1 katana.

You don't touch the blade of a katana. The oil is on there to help protect the blade from corrosion caused by the oils from your skin. True Swords even has a page on their site about the proper care of your swords.

@goku3598 i agree with CCDKM22, I sold some stuff, saved from birthdays and christmas, mowed lawns..lawns are the easiest ways to get money in one days work. and if you can sacrifice a weekend and mow some lawns, you could have a steady flow of income if you keep it up..make sure you know how much they will pay you first though, i just did a 3 hour lawn and the lady gave me $25...I was so pissed.

I wanted to go with the 250 dollar medieval one first, but a katan is a sharp tool and might help out working the trees around the house... even though katanas have thinner blades and chip easier.
