The passionate, fucked-up relationships, those ones where two people couldn't be more wrong for each other and yet still stick to it for some strange reason, those are the ones to look back on and smile about when you're old.
Neil Young is really the only songwriter I know that can write (what is really) a bittersweet love song with pretty melodies, and morph it into a can of Canadian whoop-ass rock and roll. This great song is splendid mass of contradictions.
@T3chnicaLitch lol Im sorry I have been listening to neil young since HS. There was a time when I could name every one of his songs on the first 2 notes. After the goldrush was my favorite. It just sounded so funny when you said your grandparents. I am very young at heart!!
The full version of this song is one of my favorite jams of his...repetitive as hell...but it just has such joy and enthusiasm I can't just help love it...
Yep..you need the full length cause the solo in it is amazing. This just has the guts cut out of it. Still good but the solo part in the long version is one you won't soon forget. I use to have the cassette of this and haven't heard the long version in years but still can hear it blasting away . Awesome.
Yes, it's a good video, but you can't fully appreciate the song unless you hear the full-length CD version....one of my top 10 songs of all-time....long with it's Ragged Glory companion " Country Home"
Neil young forever!!!

The guy in the video looks like the actor Bruce Payne who starred opposite Wesley Snipes in the movie Passenger 57.
