  • cmon you guys, everyone has their own opinion on how to take care of turtles

  • that dosent got any sun light n its filfthy

  • Actually slapthatassgirl, sometimes being filthy is good! The filth your thinking of isn't actually filth, it's algea, and red eared sliders enjoy munching on that! So when you think it's filth, the turtles think it's great and food!

  • Havn't you ever seen lake water?

  • Comment removed

  • @slapthatassgirl its really obvious taht u dont know anything about turtles... the filthier the better because its more naturalistic!

  • @slapthatassgirl he does have light cant you see the sun shining lol

  • Thats dumb get it an aquariam with a pond that is half the tank then the other half is dry with there food n stuff that will make them happy

  • u are talking out of your ass man! keep them out side what the fuck are u thinking

  • Um r u forgeting they r animals? Animals live out side. All u have to do is put up a chicken wire fence so that dogs or somthing dosent mess with them.

  • SOme animal will come and eat your turtle if you keep it out side

  • yea it's true usually birds do it, so it is still possible to keep them outside as long as you have a fence on top keeping birds away and lets the sun shine through.

  • also its good to make the water 2-4 feet deep for like that they can swim away! and also its good to have tunnels to go in to run away!

  • how would you keep 1 inside.

  • A big enough aquarium (the rule of thumb for gallons is "10 gallons per inch of shell"). Or an indoor pond.

  • thank you

  • if u keep one inside then ssomething lamp to tank i do...

  • you can buy a tank. put light bulbs on top of the tank.

  • WOw! Nice video! ok this is my deal.. I have a small outdoor plastic poly pond in my front yard that I had for several years with gold fish and koi. I only have about two comet goldfish left because the others died from old age. Now I would like to make my fish pond into my CHELODINA NOVAEGUINEAE "Snake necked turtles" home. There is no harmful perdetors or people that can do damage to my turtles but should I put a little fence around it to prevent my turtles fom escaping? Chicken wire??

  • I would definitely put a fence because it might run away. I have seen people use the pine garden edging that is semi-circular logs joined together and stood on end. It is available from most hardware stores and is inexpensive. I hope this helps.
