Don't you love Mr. Brockoff's reaction to her? Like he understands he's part of some weird Halloween rite of passage for these kids and just goes along with it. :-) I saw this again last night and was again amazed at how much freedom to roam youngsters like 5 year old Tootie had--that would never happen now. My mom was born in 1936 and has said that was pretty much how it was back then. Parents didn't know about child molesters--and the ones who learned the hard way didn't talk about it I guess.
One of my most favorite movies of all time....Great Christmas movie, although they have this wonderful Halloween Scene which is my favorite scene in the movie.
Happy Halloween from the movie, Meet Me at St. Louis! And I loved the Halloween part in the movie. Kids are making a bond fire to keep al ghouls away. And a tricks like Apil Fools. And showing a courage of an gags tricks!
The whole Halloween part of the movie scared me so bad as a kid

"I killed him" My favorite line in the movie"
The more I watch this movie, the more I realize how un-PC it is. There are some great lines that would not play now.

My fav scene. That and of course when she gives away the real account of the night's events, which is met with her sister's fury. Thanks!
