  • I would love to see these fish intrduced into the upper Mississippi River.

  • Lol, that does look like a walleye.

  • Damn nice walleye.

  • Waar is dat?

  • hey i'm offended by this. (my name zander) Jk

  • I can't believe ,in Uk anglers have no any idea about zanders and whole predator fishing as well.Spot any spinning man is almost impossible.Pathetic.

  • Great video - nice catch and good to see it released again!!

I really want to catch a Zander but have no clue where in the UK id catch one

  • Cambridgeshire in the fens.

The great ouse is a nice spot, or grafham resevoir.

  • I just read that a zander about over 2 feet long was attacking swimmers near italy lol, it bit 6 people before getting caught

  • Very good video, catch and release

zander are great sport, but much feared by coarse fishermen in uk, concerning roach and bream stocks etc.

apparently much more voracious than Pike?

    Are they good to eat!!?

  • In Minnesota they are regarded as the "national" fish of the state and loved above all other fish. I think their schooling instincts might explain the fear of them in the UK. Pike are voracious, but loners. A large school of zander/walleye could cut a swath in fish populations.

  • pike aren't loners buddy, well i don't know if muskullelunge are or other pike but i know northern aren't i've went underwater spearfishing and seen pike in groups of 3

  • More correctly they do not form large schools like walleye do.

  • Are Zander more of a threat to fish stocks in river -or Lake?

Pike are treated with more respect now in Uk (apart from Eastern Europians working here, who kill EVERYTHING they catch)

Uk anglers mainly realise now, that Pike keep fish stocks healthy

-as without them, rivers and lakes would be full of diceased and too many small fish

  • Im a Pole and that You wrote about East Europeans is the same true as any Brit are binge drinking junkie....wanka

  • here in wyoming us you can not just reach in and grab your walleye you better have a net because they fight. I have tried bringing in little fish with out a net and it does not happen

  • why after he catch the fishh .. he through it again to water ????????????

  • Because then the big fishy can make more little fishys for future generations...get it? (ya 3rd world/broken english talkin/no respect for the environment havin retard)

  • Nice catch, nice of you to throw it away but,

I'd totally would have fillet and ate it!!

  • Nice fish.

  • that fish would be in my skillet with some onions & tators!

  • hellz yeah!!

  • No it is not a walleye,..the difference is easy to tell, they are very diffrent.

its a zander , ..but hey,..since we all look at this video clip full of dumb shit,..ok..its a walleye!

  • white tip at the bottom of the tail, yes its a walleye dumbass, research before you open your stupid mouth... f*** people are idiots....

  • Walleye and Zander are closely related, but they are not the same fish. Zander are larger with slightly different fins, tail, and markings, they are also more aggressive.

  • Isn't the angler Luc Coppens?

  • No isn't Luc Coppens. Its me hahah Frank

  • No it is a ZANDER NOT A WALLEYE, a WALLEYE is a diffrent kind of fish!

THERE is NO such thing as DUTCH WALLEYE!

A zander is a ZANDER, In Dutch called a SNOEKBAARS.( STIZOSTEDION LUCIOPERCA )

A WALLEYE ( STIZOSTEDION VITREUM, SANDER VIREUS VITREUS ).

    Dont let Them fool you!

  • You're quite right, THAT is a Zander, which are related to walleye. Supposedly there are Walleye in the UK, probably due to an illegal stocking somewhere so it's perfectly possible there are Walleye in Holland too, but Zander and Walleye are such similar fish that I doubt anyone'd really tell the difference.

  • nice catch and release

  • Nice Zander.

  • its a zander not a walleye

  • mooie vangst hoor! Op welk water ben je wezen vissen?

  • Mooie vis joungens>

En mooi weer terug gezet. Top!

  • Isn't this fish called a Zander?

  • Yes this is a Zander or dutch walley.

    Best regards, Frank van Vliet

  • what did you catch it with?

  • wen fishing for perch with plastic worm, how should i work it, for example: how fast should i move it, etc.

  • nice walleye and nice release way 2 go
