  • I WOULD RATHER BE POOR WITHOUT HELP THEN RICH WITH HELP

  • i agree what he says about the shelters they are dirty and violent i used to work in one

  • One way we could help the homeless is take many of the foreclosed homes and fix them up for the homeless families living in shelters... Our Country needs to wake up.. Our Policymakers need to listen to the poor instead of the rich...

  • hahahahahaha

  • Nickster seems like a brat. Gees I hate my NORMAL job too. But if I dont do it I have no home. I have depression anxiety and ptsd. All he does is make excuses about being a alcholic and not wanting a normal job cause of child support. Grow up. I would love to be a producer to but cant. To me it seems like he just is a deadbeat dad his wife probably kicked him out for drinking to much and domestic problems. I'm sure us NORMAL workers have to pay his support each month. He is his own problem.

  • the fellows with the bikes , have the true american can do spirit. get her done with or without

  • Great video on issues that are very sensitive subjects in this day and age. the folks that are homeless are not dumb bums. A lot of them have degrees and are professionals who have fallen on hard times. Circumstances are different but the goal is the same. Survival.Life. By the grace of god this will improve.

  • @paranrm - thank you for your excellent comments!

  • This is a wonderful channel!! I can relate to the issue of homeless. My good friend Jesse is currently homeless. He is a poet. This is actually his account I am on right now and I have taken control of it to rally support for him while he is out there. We have shot videos to document his experiences. I am sick to my stomach everyday with worry for him and am terrified he will not make it through the soon approaching harsh Canadian winter. Please people never look down on a homeless person

  • @CreepyHermitPoet - thank you for your comments -- regards...

  • @CreepyHermitPoet look at sad sick faces on youtube

  • Please check my YOU-TUBE ten part series "Homeless In Hicksville-A Cowboy's Tale"

  • Ticketing the homeless is un-christian... The poor need to get together somehow in some kind of UNION that can class-action SUE the cities that heartlessly pass anti-homeless laws! People forget that the homeless are people! Either that or all the homeless should wear peace signs and wave peace flags -- Hippies Return!

  • @peakoilprepare look at this youtube sad sick faces

  • How the hell they gonna pay a "camping ticket" when they can't even pay for food and shelter. This country is really, really sick.

  • Sad is that the USA cares more about the wealthy in every aspect from small issues to the miltary to its foreign policy. The people of America and the world have becoms slaves of the wealthy for only one crime being born poor. How sad the world spends more on defense than on humanity. Shame on us all for not doing more to help our brothers and sisters.

  • this country should be ashamed of how we have americans living familys in cars woods, abandoned buildings, cause they lost their homes cars, no one should be hungry or have to live this way in our usa and we as americans need to be outraged and we need to all help give these people a hand uP! and then when they are down they want to give them tickects what ouright BS where else are they supposed to go ? makes me sick and i always try to pay it forward i was a homeless mom once but struggled hard

  • @poppysinoz look at this youtube called sad sick faces

  • The churches should be homes for the homeless then the Christians have have their bible study/worship in their big rich homes, but of course that will never happen.

  • How about the banks forfiet thier so-called "ownership" of land?

  • @teched246 I like the motto of Duma's Three Musketeers, "One for all, and all for one." How that would change the world. I think it starts with us getting out of the matrix. Anyone with compassion is probably already out. See the youtube video on the Neuroscience of Emotions, if you have an intellectual bent. It's here on youtube, but it's a Google Talk. Compassion is necessary to thinking properly, as is understanding emotions and developing empirical intuition, the secret to genius.

  • I have been there, buddy. The only thing I can say is when I gave up the beer, my head got clear.

Now, I expect someone may comment on my comments. Okay, go ahead. I am no longer living in the woods, washing in streams. I cannot be that way again. I will not succumb to that. I do not want to listen to crybabies or drunks or stoners. I don't want their company. I have been brought low and am wary. I see clearer because I listen harder. I am more responsible. I live indoors now & I'm online.

  • aw homeless people are so nice lol

  • As Americans we should be ashamed of ourselves that ANY of our citizens sleep outdoors or goes without basic food and medical care (regardless of how they got where they are).

    It is Shameful indeed...

  • randy109: No. As Americans, the government, banksters and profiteers should be ashamed for purposely creating these economic conditions. Did you know that Congress gives itself its own pay raises each and every year? Its all about THEM. Not our people.

  • @7514328 look at the youtube video called sad sick faces

  • I say abondoned buildings that have been closed for years should be restored enough to where the homeless can sleep in instead of leaving them closed and collecting dust. Until they get sold or whatever. But at least allow the homeless to sleep in them when its raining or snowing. People are so shady these days.

  • all I know is, be very very leery of FEMA camps.

  • I cannot believe the homeless get camping tickets!!! Thats INSANE ticketed for being homeless! How oppressive, and injust is this?

  • KARStarla: I agree. Its insane to be ticketed for being homeless. The beaurocrats in Human resourses and/or IRS are angry that these people are not paying taxes. lol. So, this is their way of getting even. Its all one, big slave camp in the USA. They want to keep everyone WORKING so they can get that tax revenue. They see the homeless as defying their "ponzi scheme" taxations. This is what is really sad.

  • Hey hey, how many shelters could have been built and well funded with all that bail-out money and bonuses??? How about the $450,000 AIG party that was thrown right after us getting fleeced. That money would've done alot of good at a shelter ...

  • Hey, how many shelters could have been built for the price of 1 B2 bomber? How many houses can you build with 1 billion USD? The USA is the home of the social-darwinism. Either you're a consumer or you are out of society.

  • watch family union charity foundation

  • Wow. This is such an important video...I'm inspired to share this with others.

  • great video, well done

  • hokiefalcon, thank you for watching!

  • The truth...Land of the Coward and Home of the Slave...being homeless is freedom...not for all, but I am on my way to this freedom in my own eyes, I am tired of working for a little cage with all of the little bills that come with the little satisfaction in the rat race of Society. I respect the homeless, for they are stronger than I, mind and soul. So to become happy I must shed my materialistic baggage and finally become free. Very Enlightening video...

  • I agree withyour views on "THE RAT RACE". I plan to drop out in the near future.

  • How can that Guy push that Bike it is 130 Pounds He should not have all that Crap on his bike. He should Get rid of some of that stuff maybe the Spare tire or the spare tire.

  • The police do not want the homeless people to sleep on the street's or in the park's, yet, homeless shelter's are jam packed full of homeless people. Where else are they suppose to sleep? Yes, they can get a job. I knew a homeless person who tried getting a job, and he was chased out of the place. Now, how are they suppose to get a job when they get chased out of place's. Land of the free & home of the poor. We need to take care of our own country before taking care of other country's.

  • wtf how did you get it to be 28 min

  • I know Because there was a lot of stuff on people bikes That needed to be talked about.

  • I'm nearly homeless:D I really don't care wether you think it's bad or nasty, it's all because no one in the White Houseknows how to run a country. Simple as that.

  • homeless: n/a

    people below poverty line: n/a

    most free and democratic nation

    YEAH BABY, WE RULE

  • It is Illegal to be Homeless in america.Police can arrest you for Vagrancy.Police use this LAW to harrass and ake life really hard.

  • Youre so funny! lol

  • The best time to take a homeless child from the street is before age 1, try for 0-5 months. The Younger, The Better.

  • I agree.

  • what goes up must come down.i dont get attached to people or possessions.they dont stay around.i get rid of my stuff tomorrow

  • but... you may be a better man for it.

you now posess all the experience the average american president has concerning the needy in America.

as long as you can speak only one language, have a hatred of foreign countries and like blow jobs in the white house, you may qualify for presidency! depending in this election you may or may not have to be white and male.

  • homeless people are some of the realest people on Earth bro. they live ON THE STREETS and you have to respect them for that!

MUCH LOVE TO THE HOMELESS! KEEP YA HEADS UP!

  • Does anyone find giving homeless people camping tickets odd? I mean if i was homeless and someone was handing me a ticket fine I would be laughing, "How would you like me to pay?"

  • Let's reach out and help them. God bless them!

  • These people seem far more compassionate and intelligent then the rich people I have encountered.

I MUST experience this "homelessness" for myself.

  • It's bloody high time for the world to stop referring to ex-soldiers as the only ones with PTSD when trauma of the psyche has hit billions of men, women and children - most since birth. Finding a place to call home without repeated trauma is the quest of every homeless person. All they seek is peace and quiet.

  • PTSD was originally diagnosed in shell-shocked soldiers; in no way are they its only victims.

As a social class, though, ex-military people tend to suffer PTSD more frequently and visibly than the rest of the community, especially where support is not readily available.

  • There is no such thing as being homeless!

That would imply that everyone deserves a home which many of us do not have.

There are only mentally ill people left on the streets who deserve to be taken care of by the state.

The rest of the able bodied so-called "homeless" are bums and deserve nothing.

  • that is a falsely broad assumption...

here in the UK there are families of seven being forced out of their homes because the landlord wants to sell up and make profit. these people are put on the streets through no fault of their own, and once there, it's very hard for them to rebuild

  • That is not happening in America. In America they are building bum cities for filthy drug addicted freeloading bums!

In the case you described, that family is truely homeless and gives the term meaning.

In the States, it is losers living off the fat of the land.

Like I said, the mentally ill need to be cared for...all the rest should be forced to take jobs reserved for our so called immigrants. There is plenty of work and plenty of bums.

  • Both of the above are correct in their own social contexts. Australia has both issues, due mainly to the high cost of housing/landlord greed, and deinstitutionalization (closing down public psychiatric units).

Social welfare is designed to create a classless society with some equality, it works better in some places than others - when one is financially better-off collecting unemployment benefits than working for minimum wage, there is something inherently wrong with the system.

  • Exactly.

If you can make more money pumping out babies and not working, then where is the motivation to work?

Or you come to the US illegally, collect every social service you can get your hands on and then work under the table and deal drugs on top of that, you can make a very nice living for yourself.

  • Australia is paying an $8,000 'baby bonus' to new mothers, regardless of income. The idea was to reduce the number of abortions as well as increase the birth rate. It has a zero-sum effect, because abortion 'on demand' is illegal, and the money is taxable (most parents pay it back).

Social welfare prevents worker exploitation if properly administered. It also deters people from turning to crime (theft, drug dealing etc) to survive when work is scarce.

  • in america they teach us in business classes that there is a type of discrimination that we can get away with. And that discrimination is class!

in another words, its ok to discriminate against poor people, at least according to american (lack of) ethics.

  • Greed - both personal and corporate - in addition to high housing costs and government inaction, contribute to the homeless problem.

I had references from two doctors and a magistrate, a job and higher education as well as two property-owning guarantors, and finding a rental property was still a nightmare.

The didgeridoo music at the beginning is cool - I know people who make these instruments, playing them properly is an art form.

  • Thanks for posting this video Rosaryfilms. Here's a real problem in this country that needs more attention.

  • hobopowerlazer, thank you for watching!

  • Many of the people featured risked their lives for their country - they faced hard times upon their return from war zones (PTSD and opiate addictions were common). They deserve far better treatment.

I understand that they have dreams of success, but their basic requirements must be met first - without food and shelter, such goals remain unattainable.

I would rather tithe my money to these people than pay tax to the government that persecutes them.
