@SoFuckForever post hardcore traditionally sounds a little rough, the phasing isn't left deliberately but they probably saw no need to get it perfect. if it were perfectly mixed then they'd sound like any other overproduced metal band.

the beauty of DSHD and ed parks vox and lyrical style, is that the vocals are not the enitre focus of the sound, but as much a part of it as any of the other instruments, the repreated and simple words of this song make it a beautiful push of catharsis, truly an innovative band, and this was the first song i heard! :D
