The adjustment might be directly on a small circuit board in the form of small rheostats, or adjustable resistors, that look like small silver discs with a black center. In the black center will be a small slot about the size of a eye glass screw driver. That's where you might be able to adjust it.
used to have one of these suckas back in the early 70s'.spent alot of time listening to moody blues & grand funk.the one i had tied in parallel with the speaker leads, that way if someones speaking,it doesnt disrupt the present color patterns.also, there were some potentiometers in the back to adjust the lows(reds),mids(greens),and highs(blues).it seems the one i had alternated more with the music, not all at once.you should see if granpa will honor the warranty.ha,ha!!
@odantoro The basic light organ just has different lights at different times. It's perfectly fine to wire it up to flash certain parts with certain frequencies.
Yeah man ...hay "US" old Hippies used to have some good times -
we made several versions of these - by setting the lights further back into a deeper box and then using resin gel-blocks the lights will difuss even more -
There should be an adjustment ... Three lights light to different notes... Red for Low notes, Blue for mids and Yellow for highs.... I had two... One on top of each speaker.. Got mine from JC Pennys, 1973...
Schmitty says, "It's neat to see how much more active the lightbox is with the Bach than with the modern songs which have a smaller dynamic range."
Schmitty is against the internet, so I have to convey this message for him. You know. Something about not wanting to use email.
He also adds, "all this is to say, goddamn modern music!" Then he throws a crushed beer can at those meddling kids and turns the hose on an MP3 player.
I would've replied sooner, but I was busy outside running children over with my rascal because they were listening to their damned over-compressed music. Then I ate some hard butterscotch candy.
Not many know that these were also available in kit form. I built one as a kid back in the mid 1970's. Thanks for showing off yours - its WAY COOL!!!

I can do this with a led and a transistor.But it's cool ;)

I think it's broken. The multi-colored lights are supposed to alternate in different sequences. They shouldn't all be on at once.
odantoro 1 year ago
@odantoro Certainly a possibility, but there really isn't much to this thing on the inside.

Woah cool. Should mine have some sort of adjuster on there? It has no knobs, switches, or buttons, inside or out.
sarcasmosis 2 years ago
I used to have the same one, no buttons or dials.

What's funnier to me is the head bobbing involved with the Rollin' and Scratchin'. I need one anyway. A light organ, not a head bob.
