I have an original copy of xtro on spectrum which I picked up years ago, which scenes are missing? Are these just on the dvd release then?

DarkAngel, do you own the UK 2 disc edition of 'The Wicker Man' that contains both the theatrical version and the 40 minute extended edition with the lost footage pasted into it? Or is the out-of-print, wooden box version the one extended by 40 minutes?

Both versions contain more or less the same extras, however the UK disc also has a directors commentary track,

Youre missing some of the most famous horrors ever. if you dont have Halloween or Child's Play 1, 2 and3 + Bride And Seed then theres not good slashers in youre collection. Slashes are most horror fans Favourite, like me

I think that xtro was produced by new line's Robert Shaye-Pre Nightmare on Elm Street, cant say I'm an Xtro fan though. I was wondering what decade was blind dead collection made.

Why are most of the dvd's/movies from the UK cut up so much? Are they more harsh about censorship over in the UK? Good collection never the less. I am kinda surprised that you don't have the Amityville Horror dvd collection boxset.

Ive seen it, but it misses out the 3rd film Tigress of Siberia, yet includes the unnofical 4th film the Wicked Warden.

I know. I don't know if anyone owns the rights to Tigress so it probably won't get a offical DVD release. Unforturnately. Its the only one I have not seen. Also, Shriek Show and Anchro Bay released so-called box sets that are just collections of their previous DVDs put together. I think the were called "Fright Packs" and "Zombie packs." They are cheap and worth checking out.

I read a lot of review sites and message boards and stuff like that. That's how I here about differant cuts of films, plus stuff like the IMDB is good for finding out about cuts, alternate versions etc.

Part 2 was just giving an homage to Freddy and Jason, also Leatherface as Anglea kills a couple kids dressed as them.

Sleepaway Camp stands on its own ground and is awesome

The original Wicker Man was an interesting movie. I haven't seen the updated Nic Cage version, but I read that it was crap. The originals are hard to beat.

I'm not a big fan of horror these days. I prefer watching the docos at shockingdvds dotcom

A great collection of box sets. I got the 100 YEARS OF HORROR in a 13-VHS box set from Passport Video. Not the greatest quality but excellent retrospective on horror films. Once again an excellent vid showcasing some very rare sets (outside of the UK anyway).

the sleepaway camp films arent ripoffs of friday the 13th everyone thinks that beacause its based at camp the 2nd and 3rd films are bad but the first one is nothing like friday the 13th the only similarity is its at camp but no there not like friday the 13th

And no, Sleepaway Camp is not a ripoff of Friday the 13th. If SC is, then that goes the same for The Burning.
